Who here talks to the characters?

My kids get a big kick out of it when I talk to the characters. I have asked Minnie where her engagement ring is. I love getting Chip and Dale going by asking which is which and also if they are squirrels. I told Donald once that Mickey was my favorite. They get all riled up and do funny things. It's all in the spirit of fun!

I once compared the heighth of my GD to Donald Duck and he wanted to fight me!!!!! :rotfl2:

when my son went to get hercules autograph, he saw his name badge and turned to "meg" and said hey this kids name is Stone, pretty cool" my son thought that was the best thing ever!

I don't ask because they can't answer (except the face characters) but I talk to them all the time and usually it is something stupid like,"EYEORE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!"

I talk to the ones who are allowed to talk back :thumbsup2

My son showed Captain Hook his pin that has Hook about to be eaten by the Crocodile and he ran and hid in the corner. My son just loved it.

I usually just say Hi! But when I was a kid a wrote a love letter to pluto and gave it to him! :lmao:

Ok, I'll be a little more specific. With the characters who can talk back, how "into character" do they get?

I turn into a blubbering fool and talk to any of them! The "face" characters stay totally in character.

We talk to them all the time!

I will tell Dale I think he is the better chipmunk.

My DS told Chip & Dale he wanted to share some nuts with them. He told Eeyore he was his favorite. Told others he loved them. Told Tigger he wanted to bounce with them, things like that.

DH told Minnie to "Dump the big cheese & run away with him". That got a good giggle.

We just generally joke around with them. It is a lot of fun & the characters seem to really enjoy the play. Most really get into it.

My DH told Belle, that Snow White had nothing on her & that she (Belle) was actually the fairest in the land. She loved that.

Face characters stay totally in character & they are a lot of fun to play with.

I asked Peter Pan to take my DS & I to Neverland, so we did not ever have to grow up. Told him my DS would make a great Lost Boy. Peter said he would, as long as I promised to tell he & the Lost Boys stories every night. Wendy piped up that, that was her job. I told them, I had a few more years experience then Wendy & had a few more interesting stories up my sleeves. :rotfl2: They seemed to enjoy that one.

As far into the character as they can....go talk to one of the face characters....example....go up to Wendy and/or Peter Pan and ask where Tink or the boys are...you'll find out they really are knowledgeable about their character......accent and all! For the "fur" characters....ask Mickey where Minnie or Pluto is...and they'll mine something! Last time I was at the park I, Wendy was there without Peter...I asked where Peter was and she went off on a 12 year old girl speech about Peter hanging out with Tink whose only so (held pointer finger and thumb close together to show that Tink was tiny)big, and Peter had to go find her, and then that they both went off to help the boys in Neverland! It's great!

I've said some really off-the-wall things to characters! :teeth:

I asked Dale why his teeth have such a big gap - is he missing his front teeth or are they just wide apart? And did their mom and dad get Chip braces and not him?? Dale just grabbed his mouth with his hands and indicated "I'm so embarrassed!" Oops! Sore subject! Sorry Dale! :)

I once met Phoebus and Frollo meeting together. I asked Phoebus "Why are you standing here with evil Frollo??? Don't you hate eachother?? Why don't you catch him and throw him in the dungeon?? And remember that song Frollo sang about his feelings for Esmeralda???" Phoebus smiled and said "Someone has to keep an eye on him!". Frollo glared at me, and in the photo we took, Frollo had his hand up in the air, threatening to slap me! So in character!! :teeth:

One time me and my nieces met Snow White meeting with her stepmother the Queen. I asked Snow White, "Whatever happened to your father?". The Queen, so in character, then says to me "We can't discuss that in front of the children!" :teeth: Oh, I wish I could have continued that conversation!

I'm sure I probably said plenty of other stupid things! :teeth:

Depending on their reaction. But I ALWAYS tell Donald Duck that he's my favorite character and I love him. After every picture we take with the characters I always say thank you. For some reason they want to hang out with me longer.

I had a conversation with Alice about kittens being trouble.

My daughter spilled water on her Autograph book one year and that got reactions. Donald acted like he was swimming out to get it for us. :rotfl: That got a huge hug from my daughter who was shying away at the time--really sweet.

The same daughter, 3 years later, asked Mary Poppins if she could say supercalifragilistic backwards. Very properly, MP asked her if she could and said it wasn't polite to ask someone to do something that she couldn't do herself. Then, she turned around with her back to us and said "Supercalifragilisticexpealidoucious". My DD just beamed and laughed for 20 min. after that.

Other DD wasn't really interested in meeting Alladin without Jasmine and asked where she was. He told her she was in her castle and would be so sorry to have missed her and he couldn't wait to tell her he got to meet DD. She was so thrilled. (we did meet her later in the trip)

My firend at Chef Mickeys once asked Donald if he knew where he could get some great duck under glass..lol Donald started to show him out...

At Epcot i had a mickey mouse shirt on and Donald kept trying to stand in front of it to cover Mickey up in the picture.

At AK on halloween 2004 Donald had a bowl of candy and the 'handler' asked us if we would like some....i said no , my friend said yes and donald layed over the whole bowl, he didn't want to share until the 'handler' told him to be nice...a moment later i asked for his picture and her turned his back to us and shook his ducky butt at us..it was hilarious!

At Epcot Plutop dropped my autograph book, he felt bad and mined for everyone to stand back...pluto then put it on his nose open, face down and threw it up in the air..with his nose and caught it in his mouth..everyone clapped and cheered It was soooo cute.

At the Garden grill last oct I asked Dale to autograph a picture of him i took on a previous years visit.. he he held the picture back and stared at it and kept rubbing his cheek....his handler said 'yes dale your very handsome'..dale nodded yes......he kept going on about hoe good looking he was....it was the best!

At DL the Mary Poppins and Burt were the best ever! accents and all..burt tols Mary she was beautiful.....Mary told burt he was cheeky.

At wdw's toontown Cruella was there and my friend asked if she could borrow her pumps for that night..she said of coarse darling....but not my jewels!

DL had the best Cruella i have ever seen however, i said "Cruella smile for the paparazzi" She quickly posed and said "always darling". She did a great Cruella pose..face and all! I said thank you! She replied "I always do as I'm told"
