Well I'm home now and happy to report that the Cruiser has been Disneyfied! I'm glad I decided to stay home for dinner. My mom was here for 15 minutes and managed to piss me off about 6 times.

Good fffffrrreeeeeeezing morning!!!

I knew I was holding off turning on the heat for a reason, the damn thing doesn't work!!!! I finally decided it was time to turn the furnace on (it is in the 20's after all ) and the darn thing only blows cold air! Thank goodness it's getting up to 37 today!

I just called a furnace place, they are coming this afternoon! It's $89 for them to walk in the door and then $25 for every 15 minutes! They are however giving me $20 off cleaning the furnace!

Dh says thank you for all the Birthday wishes!

Lesa: Yikes! I hope you get your furnace fixed, and that they work quickly! I can't stand when they charge by time, they could work slow just to make more money. Hopefully it will be something simple.

Linda: SNOW?! It was cold enough this morning that it could have snowed, but we just had a little frost on the grass. The grass here is still about 1/2 green -- which reminds me, I need to cancel my lawn service before they come out again! (But that means I have to pay them too, so it'll have to wait until next week.)

pozey: Good luck at the dr, Colton! Awww, how nice that you can have lunch with Chase. I bet he loves that. I want to go to the Thanksgiving Luncheon at Lyzzie's school but I'm not sure yet when it is. She brought the flyer & permission slip home on Friday, but she lost her Friday Folder and didn't find it until this morning, and the $$ is due tomorrow!

It's official -- Dusty is going to be an outdoor cat. While I was home for lunch, she peed on a pile of pieces to one of Emma's favorite puzzles. Oddly enough, she peed mostly on the piece with a picture of a cat on it! I can't really see how a pile of puzzle pieces would make a comfier toilet than a litterbox. So starting this evening, I will be taking her outside to get her used to our yard. I just can't take it anymore and don't know what else to do. The cat repellant works for the rugs, but it's toxic so I can't spray it on toys. And who knows where else she's gone that I didn't discover?

$2000 flying out the window!!! They said I need a new furnace and shut off my gas saying they cannot turn it on! It was only the pilot light that was out, but then he put a camera up the the furnace and said something about the heat exchange was really bad. I don't know if I believe all the BS I do know our furnace needs to be replaced if for the simple reason it's only something like 50% efficient. I am afraid to turn the gas to it back on and I'm not sure they put it all back together. They came highly recommended, so I don't know, I just don't trust any type of contractor anymore! So tomorrow they are coming to put in a new furnace, until then we live another day in the cold. See, good thing I let our bodies adjust to the cold!


Lizziesmom...I'm sorry about your kitty! I think at this point I would have to take him someplace. The place around here is a no kill shelter and the kitties with potty problems are not adoptable, however they get to remain permanent tenants. I never felt comfortable letting my cats outdoors too many things can happen. We always had indoor cats and they would sneak out once in a while .....RIP Orbie! Good luck!

Today has been a good birthday for me! I got a call this afternoon from Yankee Candle Co and they hired me!!!! And then I went to the Disney College Program presentation and am all pumped up about it!!!! Since we were a small group we had a group interview there and she said we all did a good job on it. At first I was going to do the spring program but then decided to go ahead and do the spring advantage program, so if I get in that means I'll be there from mid Jan to August. I picked vacation planner, so that means I'd be selling tickets and whatnot. I'm so excited! Hopefully I'll get in!!!!!
