YAY!!!That is good! NO more leaks now ;)!!! I'm so weird... I really like my washer and dryer:rolleyes1
You're not weird... I really liked mine, too. This washer lasted a solid 17 or 18 years!!

Oh! And get this.... the other night, I ran a load of jeans. Pulled the jeans out to put them in the dryer, and there, on the bottom of the tub, was DH's Razr cell phone!!! Oops.
But this is where it gets really interesting.... it still works.

DznyFan: Hope the new washer works well for you for a loooong time. No leaks!

Linda: Oh I'm already partly packed for my next trip, and I don't even know when it'll be! I have my "WDW suitcase" that holds stuff I only use on vacation, like ponchos, glow necklaces, little fans on a string, my travel makeup kit, sample sizes of toiletries, and even some tshirts. Makes packing a breeze!

Vent Ahead:

I am ready to scream. Mike's stupid company still has NOT allowed him to get the van fixed. They told him they would be sending a new van (this is last Friday), but they have yet to do it.

Today, he used my car again, but has no idea what they will do tomorrow. If he does rent a truck then it will costs hundreds of dollars, because they will have to take it several hours away. He can't just not take deliveries (one, he won't get paid and two, the accounts would be pissed).

He company won't respond to him at all.

He's already stressing about next week, because he has a ton to do (every day he has to go rearrange stores; this takes ALL day). He will have no chance to do anything else.

Several months ago, they assured him that he would have extra help. He still doesn't. When he started years ago, they had 6 people and were doing about half the business. Now, they have five people (one is training; just started Monday) and Mike can't take it anymore.

I feel so bad for him and have no idea what to do. There aren't any job openings around here (especially making what he does). I have offered to go back to my old job, but he doesn't want me to do that (it would be about two hours away and I would work nights. It was really stressful and he doesn't want that for me right now).

I just want to cry. :guilty:

wow, I hope mine lasts that long! I bought it when Kenny was a baby:cloud9:
Yikes!!! glad his phone still works! I never put my phone in my pockets:scared:

I do keep some stuff together... mole skin, autograph books, fanny pack:rolleyes1 attractive I know:laughing: ,long sharpies, ponchos...stuff like that:yay:
I just want to cry. :guilty:
I'm so sorry Amber:guilty:  I hope they fix things soon, that is beyond ridiculous and would be beyond angry as well!!! I'll send some prayers your way:grouphug:

Amber- I can't believe the truck still isn't fixed! What do they expect him to do?

Dznyfan- Congrats on your new washer! :)

Amber: I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's job. That is totally messed up!! (Not the word I really wanted to use, btw.) I don't understand how companies that operate like that expect to stay in business. I don't think Mike should have to pay for anything. With a baby coming soon, the last thing you need is extra expenses on top of this added stress. What a bunch of jerks!! I don't have any suggestions for you, but I'll keep you both in my thoughts.

Is it still only Tuesday? This feels like it's already been a very long week. I have two coworkers who cover for me when I need to leave my desk for any reason. One took a scheduled personal day, the other took an unscheduled day off today. She always does that, if one of us takes some time off, you can count on her being off within a day or two. I have no idea why. I've been sitting here needing to pee for 20 minutes and can't find my coworker to cover the front desk! I will probably just get up and go and hope nobody walks in or the corporate office doesn't call.

Yesterday my boss called me and scared the crap out of me. She said, "Do you have a minute? We need to talk about the monthly reports that you prepare. I met with the new head of finance and she has some issues with them that we need to go over." I was thinking I screwed up bigtime and was about to get chewed out. Turns out they decided not to do most of those reports anymore, which is great because they give me huge headaches but also means I have even LESS work to do which I didn't know was even possible. I yelled at my boss, I told her, "Don't scare me like that!!"

The place where I work is going to be screwed when we're gone. They are keeping a few people, but they are getting rid of the manager who does EVERYTHING. No one else knows how to run the business side of the company. One guy they are letting go is bad mouthing other employees, trying to get them to keep him. :rolleyes2

Nicole: That sounds like a dumb strategy! Is he trying to make himself look better in comparison? Like they're going to think, Hey! Let's keep the guy who talks behind everyone's back, he's awesome! Sheesh.

I am so mad. I checked the MO public records to see what's up with Emma's dad's domestic violence/stalking case. The girl DROPPED THE CHARGES!! This is his MO -- he hides until it becomes too much of a pain in the rear and too expensive to pay a lawyer to keep postponing the court date, and hopes that the other person will eventually give up. So he gets away with all this crap and it isn't officially on his record because there was never a conviction. Dang it! I was hoping this would help the court system catch up with him and nab him for the child support nonpayment -- it's up to $6700 now. I wish my job had a legal plan like my old job did so I could hire my lawyer again (she was great!) and reopen the case, I'm sure she'd be able to think of some loophole to get him on. Oh well, I know at some point he WILL mess up again and WILL get caught. Emma will most likely never get her money but I just want him to have to pay, one way or another, for all the crimes he commits and gets away with and realize that he is hurting other real human people and it's not a big game and he's not winning.

I'm mad at the girl too, I don't even know who she is but it looks like she tried several times to have him served with a restraining order, and every time it came back non served, and then she just dropped the charges. Maybe she figures he has disappeared, or maybe she just couldn't keep going back to court only to be rescheduled again. I don't know. But it makes me mad and sad when I see women who are abused and just let it happen, and don't pursue any legal action and let the abuser go free to do it again to someone else.

Hi everyone!!!

Nothing new with me, I am just really annoyed with my insurance company (as usual  ) They keep DENYING my claims to any doctor I go to - and claiming they are just wanting "extra information" from the doctor and they haven't recieved it yet....

My doctor sent this info numerous times! Finally she is so frusterated she sent me a copy of what she sent them and Jeremiah faxed that to them today, so they can't deny getting it.

I have another neurologist appointment this Friday that I don't want to go to, because he charged me $300 for just a consultation last time and I don't know if they charge extra money for the re-evaluation  I know when I had to get a root canal the endodontist didn't charge for the re-eval but I don't know if this doctor has the same policy...I don't want to go to the doctor and find out I owe him $600, and my other doctor who knows how much money because my insurance isn't putting up the money   I guess they are trying to determine if this is a pre-existing condition.

I really should go though because I am wanting to get blood work done because I think I am having some kidney problems (atleast that is what I think this is and I'm not sure if its directly related to the medicine I'm taking)....trust me, this is the last thing I need in my life right now.   I am not even sure if the neuro can order blood work for that but I don't want to go to my other doctor, she is really pissed that the insurance hasn't paid her for an August appointment :sad2: So if I have to pay the neuro for another 'consultation' then it would save me some $$ if I didn't have to go to the other doctor to just order blood work  I'm sure she would charge me an exam fee too.

Anyways........

Lyzziesmom, sorry Emma got Petie dirty :rolleyes1 I read that thread about WNTW a while ago!!! I hope I can remember to DVR that episode, I don't want that show normally unless I am flipping through and see that its on.

Amber, sorry Mike's job is so stressful. Thats very annoying and I know just how you feel!! Vent away anytime.

Nicole- wouldn't that be great if you could add days to your trip!!

Dznyfan- Congrats on your new washer :woohoo: I hate the washer and dryer at my apartment, it is so small and pretty ancient!! But I can't complain, its better than having none at all...I refused to live in a place that didn't have one in the units, I hate going to the laundry mat!!!

Oh, Lyzziesmom, I'm so sorry about Emma's dad. You're right, it is very sad that that woman dropped the charges. Don't worry, there is a little thing called Karma that is going to get him one day :rolleyes1

Hey, guess who just cancelled tonight's dinner?! hint: it wasn't me Oh well, Lyzzie has a ton of homework she needs to get done. At least it wasn't a last minute cancellation.

:headache: :headache:

Maybe you can still go since its Kids Eat Free!! Invite your parents, haven't they paid at Lone Star before

Ashley: That stinks about the insurance company. I think a pre-existing condition is something that you've received treatment for in the last 6 months before you began your insurance coverage - sometimes it's a year or even more. But if the problem is even slightly different, then it should be considered a new diagnosis. Usually if the dr visit is for a follow-up to a previous visit they don't charge again. Of course not every dr works the same way. What a pain -- it's almost enough to make you want to move to Canada! (Don't they have better healthcare there?)

I just remembered last night that I was supposed to contact my dr's office by 11/05 and arrange payment or they won't see me anymore -- and I can't get a hold of the new pain center they referred me to. I'm afraid of what might happen, but there is just no way I can pay them right now and I'm pretty sure a lot of what they think I owe them is wrong, but since they won't break it down for me I don't know for sure. I can't really make phone calls from work because I need to answer every incoming call and can't keep putting someone on hold -- and of course that is when all the calls start coming, is when I'm on an important personal call! I just have to keep my appointment for next week and hope for the best, and keep trying to get in touch with the new place I guess.

That's what I thought about the pre-existing condition, but their definition is kind of tricky. I definitely haven't gone to the doctor for this before (the last time I went to the doctor was the gyno in Jan 2005) but I think they say if you have the 'symptoms' of your sickness before you are under their insurance they consider it a pre-existing condition, even if you didn't go to the doctor. They can't prove I had the symptoms before I was insured (my insurance coverage started on July 24 and I went to the doc August 12, while suspicious they still can't prove it and I told my doc I'd been experiencing symptoms for 2 weeks putting it after July 24...)

ETA, Here is the definition from my insurance company of a pre-existing condition:
Pre-existing condition: These policies have a 12-month waiting period before "pre-existing conditions" are covered. A pre-existing condition is any medical condition you had in the 12 months before you are officially covered by this policy. If you received medical advice, diagnosis or care for a condition you had during that time, it is a pre-existing condition. A pre-existing condition is also a condition that would cause a prudent person to seek medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment. This means that if you had symptoms that would make an ordinary person seek treatment for the condition, that condition is a pre-existing condition, whether you went to the doctor or decided to wait (for whatever reason).

Kind of tricky!!!

Yes, I always say that about Canada...Too bad its too far from WDW (and family :rolleyes1 ) Everyone I talk to who is from Canada LOVES it there!!

Not to be too politicial and I don't really like to talk about politics with others because it is a hot topic, but the United States is really behind on their ideas about Universal Healthcare. They need to take the lead from other countries and see that is the best for all citizens! People DIE everyday because they can't afford medical care, and its from things that are treatable and preventable....

I agree with you 110% :thumbsup2 (thumb)

Wow Ashley, that insurance company really does not want to pay out on things do they! They pretty much make sure that THEY are the ones to define a pre-existing condition. What a pain! I hope you get it worked out. There is no way that they can prove when you had symptoms or what a "prudent person" might or might not do. What a load!

All this healthcare talk prompted me to call the new pain center and lo and behold, I finally got a hold of the lady! She said they just switched their phone carrier and have been having trouble getting their messages. So I've got an appointment for next week, but this place is weird. It IS a pain center, but the first meeting is with a psychiatrist (who founded the place) and then the staff meets to discuss the case and what type of treatment is needed, they do a combo physical therapy, medication and psychotherapy. So it looks like there aren't really any pain specialists there, weird. Oh well, I'm willing to try it because my back has been really bad and the cold weather only makes it worse, and I'm getting frustrated with my dr.

It sounds like a great place. I'm glad you are giving it a try! Maybe they will be the ticket to getting you the help you really need.
