Let's try this song tonight:

Little red caboose, little red caboose
Little red caboose behind the train

Smoke stack on it's back
Comin' down the track
Little red caboose behind the train

:rotfl2:

Me and my brother always sang this when we saw a train or version is a little different but basically the same:

Little red caboose chug chug chug, little red caboose chug chug chug little red caboose behind the train, train, train, train.
Smoke stack on it's back, back, back, back
Comin' down the track, track, track, track
Little red caboose behind the train, toot, toot!

I sing it for my boys when we see a train and we're traveling! Thanks for taking me back..... :goodvibes

Precious pixie- I'm so glad you did well on the exam! I know Boca very well. I was born and raised in South Florida- Ft.Lauderdale. (Plantation). DH & I plan to move back down very soon, we live in Virginia right now, since December 2004. All of my family is down there too! Its a very nice place to live.

pixie, I know Boca too! I lived in Coral Springs for about 15 years and up until 5 years ago, I worked in Boca. I went to FAU for a while too. I never really liked it in FL though, but I do miss being able to hop on up to Disney for a weekend!

Mom was here this evening to help with the packing, the place looks like a tornado has hit! There's boxes everywhere, full, empty, 1/2 full, forts, flat... it's like a maze. The kids love it. We had a yummy Papa John's pizza - it's the only kind Lyzzie will eat because she is addicted to the garlic sauce. The girl does have good taste.

It suddenly hit me that we close on the new house in FOUR DAYS!! Yikes!! We've decided that the girls room will be a princess room (or is that a pin-cess room?), since they already have mostly princess decorations. I got a really cool wall mural of Cindy's castle... I'm really looking forward to redecorating everything! Lyzzie really wanted to switch over to a Tinkerbell room but I said I am NOT buying all new stuff! We just did that last year when we moved IN to this apartment! Her room used to be decorated all in stars, it was soooo cute. So anyway, we compromised and the playroom will be Tinkerbell colors. That side of the house is going to look be so colorful! If you can't tell, I'm very excited! (insert loads of smileys here -- I am too lazy to "go advanced" right now.)

Wouldn't you know it, I finished Plum #1 and have not yet bought #2. It was funny, one of the guys at work saw me reading yesterday during my break and said "Oh I see you've started the Stephanie Plum books, aren't they good?" That really caught me by surprise! Turns out his wife is a big fan and he picked one up & ended reading all of hers! (insert laughing smiley -- still too lazy.)

I'd love to join the sing-a-long, but I grew up under a rock and don't know these songs you gals are busting out with! Speaking of singing... have any of you been to the campfire at Ft. Wilderness? We are planning on going to that on our arrival day (in THREE WEEKS!!!) and I was wondering what are some of the songs they sing, so I can make sure the girls (and I) know at least a couple of them. I only went to camp once and it was a Christian camp, we only sang Bible songs, so I am woefully unprepared.

Lesa, don't worry about getting names & such mixed up. You jumped right in here with both feet (very nice jumping, I might add!) and I've been here all along and STILL have to struggle to remember who said what... and I just read it!! See the last line in my signature? Sadly, it is truer than I'd like to admit.

Tomorrow is the city's Classic Car Show. So we will walk down and take a look. It is always good to people watch and get caught up on some of the gossip :rolleyes1

MIL called this afternoon. Blake's birthday is our first day at Disney so she wants to celebrate on Sunday. His family ALWAYS celebrates on Sundays at 4:30. You could literally set your watches by his family. I am so bad, once we started having kids and I was in charge of some of the parties I would change the days and times just to mess with them :lmao: When the kids were little I insisted that birthdays be on the actual birthday, a completely novel concept to them but they went along. Now we do things on a convienent weekend but I sometimes will make it Saturday at 1:00!!! Just to make them  So we will be at the IL's Sunday afternoon. She is also the worst cook so I offered to bring spaghetti sauce. I told her to get the noodles. In his family we all bring something.

Pixie...Good for you on your exam :cheer2: I predict wonderful things for your future, now where is a gypsy smilie when you need one

SSHHH!!!! don't tell anyone but when Blake was in Beijing he bought a DVD of Pirates 2, Dead Man's Chest :ssst: So I watched it this morning but fast-forwarded thru all the parts that didn't have Johnny Depp in them pirate: Had to get my pirate fix

song for the day--sing it with me now

"I will survive--
so as long as I know how to live, I know I'll stay alive.
I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give--
I'll survive, I will surviiiiiiive
Hey Hey."

Love singing with 2xcited :rockband:

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I

Anyone else want to sing...I had such a long week I'm thinking about maybe

So bring me two pina coladas
One for each hand
Let's set sail with Captin Morgan
And never leave dry land

Troubles I forgot 'em
I buried 'em in the sand
So bring me two pina coladas

Oh Michele, you lucky girl you!! Not only are you so close to going to Disney that it hurts, but you have POTC2! Send a copy my way, I won't tell anyone.

SSHHH!!! I do have a DVD burner program ( thanks Lesa ) but it wouldn't work!! I tried. :confused3 I think it was my computer and not that the DVD was protected so I am going to try again :ssst:

But I have watched it a couple of times and I still don't see the boots in Tia Dolma's ( I know I spelled THAT wrong) cabin. Is is right when the monkey leaves the cage or later?

YourMajesty, have you had a few snorts as Grandma Mazur would say?? What songs are you singing? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have some drinks for you and they even have umbrellas.

You'll have to excuse me I can't carry a tune for the life of me but I am always the loudest and proudest one singing

I will survive
For as long as i know how to love I know I'll stay alive
I should have changed that stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If Id of known for just one second that you'd be back to bother me
:dance3: (oh yeah I dance too)

Evenin' Ladies.

Been a bummer the last couple of hours. The TV in the bedroom sorta died. And it's pretty much brand new. And of course.....the manufacturer's technical support only works mon-fri. :confused3

My favorite childhood song my grandma sang to me was

Peanut sat on a railroad track
His heart was all a flutter
Along came a choo choo train
Whoo Whoo peanutbutter

DD still likes me to sing that to her.

Michele...You had better lock your doors and windows and pull the shades! They're coming to get you! ;)
P.S. Send a copy my way will ya! :teeth:

Hi Michele :wave2: You made me chuckle about your MIL being a bad cook. My MIL actually can cook pretty good but could never understand why her stuffing tasted funny at Thanksgiving. She saved old biscuits, bread, and cornbread throughout the year (whole year...can you say f-r-e-e-z-e-r b-u-r-n) and then used this to make her yummy stuffing. I tried to explain that if she made fresh cornbread etc and let it dry a day or two it might be tastier...or a mix from the store would work. :yay:

Precious Pixie::Terrific news about the exam!! Sounds like a new career is in the future!!
It was an exciting evening at our house. DS(and DH) got their first 4-wheeler. DS is still a little unsure of himself, but will get more confident I'm sure. We are stressing safety right now!! Several of our neighbors and my Sis and Niece came over to check it out!! We've only lived in the country for a little over a year and these toys are new to DS.

MI mom of 3::you have the POTC2 DVD??!! You should auction it off on this thread-bet you would make a fortune!! pirate: (aargh) That trip is getting closer. It's hard to believe last week at this time I was in Orlando!! Gee, I love that place!! :lovestruc

Hey pozey...I'm just sitting her watchin a little :happytv: (just kidding)...I'm dising...going through withdrawal after my busy week. Do you have a rain gauge? My DS said we had 1/4" in ours but I'm not too sure about that reading. Good luck with the techincal support.

Oh no pozey, no TV??? Isn't that the unwritten rule of tech support: things will only break when support is closed. Until they reopen, you are welcome to join the sing-a-long! They've finally tossed in a few that I know. I remember the eeples and baneenees song from when my DB used to love Raffi. Man that guy is annoying. And of course I Will Survive... every girl knows that one, it's the Unofficial Song of Womandom!

My mom used to sing this song -- I'm fairly certain made it up because I've never heard it anywhere else, it makes no sense, and has pretty much no melody:

Chicken and cheese
Chicken and cheese
There's nothing so lovely as
Chicken and cheeeeee-eeeese

And my brother made this one up when he was little:

I like carrots better than ice cream
Because I know I should
I like carrots better than ice cream
Because they taste so good

The sad part is, it was true. He really DID like carrots better than ice cream. I always knew there was something wrong with that kid.

Here's a lullaby that Lyzzie made up when she was about 3:

Love you in the morning
Love you in the evening
Love you when the sun goes-down-to-the-ground-and-the-moon-comes-up-and-the-stars-come-out-and-I-go-to-bed-and-it's-nighttiiiii-iiiiiiiime!

Hi Gracie... :rotfl: just kidding...I was catching up on the thread and got a laugh out of that. Your song reminded me of another childhood favorite...do you remember this one:

Found a peanut, found a peanut,
Found a peanut just now,
Just now I found a peanut,
Found a peanut just now.

Cracked it open, cracked it open,
Cracked it open just now,
Just now I cracked it open,
Cracked it open just now.

It was rotten, it was rotten,
It was rotten just now,
Just now it was rotten,
It was rotten just now.

Ate it anyway, ate it anyway,
Ate it anyway just now,
Just now I ate it anyway,
Ate it anyway just now.

Got a stomach ache, got a stomach ache,
Got a stomach ache just now,
Just now I got a stomach ache,
Got a stomach ache just now. :dance3:

Do we need some musical accompaniment for our sing-a-long? I've got just the thing:

Hey lyzziesmom...I'm so ashamed...I still haven't seen Pirates one or two and Johnny scared the beejeebees out of my 6 year old (5 at the time) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... :rotfl:
