It looks like we'll come up on 44. Then we take 55 out?? I think the DH might want to eat somewhere with a view of the arch. I'd like to keep it ON the beaten path, so we add too much time on to our drive. We're going up Labor day weekend - driving up on Friday the 1st. Italian... mmmm.

If you want to have a view of the Arch, hmmm, I'm thinking. There are some hotels around--Adams Mark, Sheridan, ie. that have restaurants in them. I don't know how fancy, though. To be honest with you, I can't tell you the last time I was actually in the downtown area, even though I don't live far by highway. It's hard to explain if you're not familiar with St. Louis.
This is one complaint that St. Louisans have is that the "downtown" area is not like Chicago--where alot goes on at night. It seems like more stays open later in the evening in the suburbs. They are working on it, however.

If you take Hwy. 44 up to the Kingshighway exit or Hampton exit (where the zoo is), the Hill area where I was speaking of is not far at all--maybe 10 min. from the Arch by highway. You just won't be able to see the Arch.

Forest Park is another area you may want to consider--the zoo, Art Museum, there is a restaurant in the Park called the Boathouse which is kind of fun.
I'll keep thinking.

Ooh, look at the time. I must start getting ready for work.

good day all!!

kiss kiss-----------this is a general kiss kiss---------not just for some of you. :teeth: :teeth:

Isn't this a clique of people who aren't in any cliques? :rotfl:

2xcited- my poor, departed computer turned suddenly black & we couldn't restore it (old compaq). I'm pretty good @ restoring computers - self preservation LOL. Got lots of security installed on new one, not sure if DH put it on because of my DS or me:) . so far, so good. BTW, always wanted to see, ride in??? St. Louis arch...anything else cool to do there?

lizziesmom - do you want the box or what's behind curtain #1:banana: .

anyone else order off disneyshopping.com? I ordered 3 bs & they were sooo big, fussed a bit & they're sending out new ones, even exchange. Rarely, is any online purchase of clothing fit me loosely.

Maybe we'll go without an Arch view... Just whatever is convenient, good, and maybe a St. Louis exclusive. We're anticipating being up there I guess noon to 1-ish, grab lunch, and hit the road again.

Bad news for you, pin-cess.... the whoopsiness has passed and I was able to easily overtake a package of chocolate donuts. So WATCH OUT!! However, it being Friday and all, maybe I will grant you a reprieve. After all, I did get the double-cheek kiss again.

I'm gone.

2xited----you are cracking me up today :lmao: :lmao: You know I never thought much about the tickers but now that you mention it, I guess it could mean I am "THIS big". Obvious things like that I can't see but other deeper issues such as why does "Little Bear" (from kids show Little Bear) not wear clothes and his parents do? :confused3 Does this mean Little Bear walk around nekkid in the woods with his friends?

Linda- Kenny is a doll, I could eat him up. That picture made me smile

Anybody know anything about photoshop elements? I have been trying like crazy to put a border on a picture I took of Connor this morning and fix it(he has a chronic blinking problem associated with flashes even with the flash off he hears the click and blinks!!). The photoshop gianormous book dosen't explain what I need, I need something that says 1. Do this 2. Now do this 3. you get the point.

Alright it is 1:51pm and still no poop, off to plop the Benmiester on the pot-tay. Check you later!

wow - that had to stink. At least you passed... I'm with everyone else, at that hour, no way I'd have passed! Have you looked at the real estate prices down there? :scared1:  :faint: We're so spoiled here.
Yes, I have looked at real estate...... :scared1: That is the biggest drawback of a possible move to Florida. Well, that and my EXTREME phobia of snakes.... :rolleyes1

It looks like you are going to be headed to FL one way or another, doesn't it? And just where are your tattoos, anyway? Could I possibly ask you any more questions? I'm sure I could, but wouldn't that be annoying?
Well, the move to Florida is certainly not definite.
Right Shoulderblade.....
No, I will answer most any question........
And nobody here has ever said anything the least bit annoying...... :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Ashley, 2x2s, and Angela :grouphug: He's my one and only baby :cloud9:

Sorry Angela...I know nothing about photoshop...and a lot of other computer things :rolleyes1

Keishashadow... I ordered from disneyshopping.com but my order hasn't come yet. I'd much rather have things run too big than too small!

Actually, that would be chocolate tossed donuts.

Picked up the package from Panera (that's a lot of p's!) and I'm sorry to say it was not yummy. On the bright side, it was not explosive either. Apparently my ex (Emma's dad) is working at a Panera and they received the court order for him to provide health insurance, so it was a packet of information. I hope this doesn't screw up the coverage I already have for her, because this is the sign that as soon as he sees the deduction on his check, he will be quitting his job. How do I know this, you may ask? Well, because shortly before he left us, the same thing happened to him - the courts found him and deducted for insurance for his other daughter (who we have never met, she was not from his previous marriage. I know I know, I'm jumping into Linda's TMI boat here! splish splash!) and the next week he quit that job because, and I quote loosely, "This is a bunch of male cow doody!" So it looks like I can shortly say sayonara to the little bit of child support I recently started to get. On the brighter side, if he bolts, then that will increase the chance that the courts can't find him and Emma can get her name change. Whew, got all that straight? Good, someone want to explain it to me?

Angela... LOVE that bit about Little Bear! These are the kinds of things that keep me up at night - pondering the mysteries of children's television.

Oh and for 2x2s again... I didn't add anything to my signature, but something has disappeared. There appears to be a Ticker Bandit lurking somewhere on the DIS.

lyzziesmom :grouphug: I hope he doesn't quit and skip town on you! I know what you mean though... it makes it harder than it is worth sometimes. It may make his insurance the new primary and yours the secondary? That is the exact reason I demanded that in our divorce that I provide his health insurance. He was ordered to cover his other son...and he wouldn't...he was paying $23 a month for himself only :sad2: I was paying over $600 just for he and I...but he had to pay 1/2 in the child support calculation :teeth: ... now we're both covered on Mikes and its was FREE...now he's retired it's only $50 a month :woohoo: much better!!!! Good luck I'll be praying for you!!

Linda---I just now saw your link to your wedding photos, SOOO cute. I especially love the ones of the FOOD :rotfl: :lmao: I guess I'm really hungry right now. The ones of the rings and the one of you in the sepia tone or b/w, very pretty. Cute fam

lyzziesmom--I used to work in accounting dept at a Mercedes dealership and we had a few guys you got their wages garnished for child support. One was just lazy ("I was waiting for this to happen, so I don't have to write a check", WHAT?) and when another found out he acted real sorry that we had to deal with it extra, then he quit. I don't get it. I hope things work out for you I can only imagine how heavy all of it is. :grouphug:

Just found out Dh is having some men over from church now I got to speed clean the downstairs. What up with that? :teeth:

Thank you :cloud9: We were just married April 27 while on our 10 night stay at wdw

some really tasty pix...now I'm hungry too! That filet looks so good!!!

It's almost time to go HOME!! Yay! Well actually, go pick up my car and then go HOME!! Yay! Ok so technically, go drop off the rental, then go pick up my car and then go HOME!! Yay!

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? I want to take the kids to the county fair tomorrow, and of course packing, and I have a couple weeks worth of laundry to catch up on. Woohoo! I've been kind of afraid of laundry since the Great Flood of the Utility Room, but that might just have been an excuse to not do the hateful chore. I also have to make a trip to the mall to load up the Disney gift cards again and we've got a JC Penney gift card from returning school clothes that Lyzzie's grandparents sent - I still don't think they understand that most of the school year the weather is COLD - so we have a little bit of wardrobe shopping to finish up. And then of course we must get the obligatory pretzel bites and orange smoothie, and ride the train and/or carousel. Oh joy!

HOME! Yay! Home! After a day of working on legal documents all day, my brain is mush and I'm
Plans? Read (#2 Stephanie Plum) going to dinner tonight, going to friends for movie watching/couch potatoing tomorrow night. I need to clean my house but I can't find those *&)#^&% cleaning maidies!
Later!

Lyzziesmom: Looks like you have an eventful weekend coming up!!

As for me, I'm not really sure. I think DH wants to go look at some tattoo parlors. :confused3 We'll see how that goes.

My mom, me, and my 3 Aunts want to get matching tattoo's. We want to get a bluebird, atleast we are thinking about it. The bluebird is for my Great-grandma, Mama. (Their Grandma). Mama died in September, she was 92 years old. When I moved to Virginia in December 2004, she gave me a tiny bluebird statue that she has had in her house for many years. She wanted me to have something in my house that has been in hers and she wanted to give me a "bluebird of happiness" so that we could have a happy household. After she gave that to me, she wanted everyone to have one so she ordered all the girls a similar one and we all have it. Now that she passed away, we want to have something that signifies her and a bond that we all have. So I guess we are just looking for some ideas.

Other then that, we have to go grocery shopping and I want to go to the pool!!! And ofcourse, the weekly stop at Target. :sunny:

:wave2: Hey, everyone!!!

Have been home from work for about an hour. Trying to catch up on the posts! DH and DS are not back from their Ozark excursion yet, but should be within the hour.

Luvdzne::I think Mommyintn(Angela's) son is named Connor. My 7 year-old 2nd graders name is Nathan. I just don't understand why you got confused!! :rotfl2: :sunny:

2xcited::Glad to have you back and in rare form I might add!! Just trying to help out with Dznyfan's lunch dilema-What restaurants are at The Landing these days? Way-back-when The Old Spag.Factory used to be the place I liked to go. Is it still there? Getting down there might be a little awkward coming from that direction, though. Whatyathink??

I am so happy to see new posters joining our merry little non-clique!! :wave2:

Have a magical weekend everyone!!! :wizard:

Oops! At least I got the age part right. ;) :teeth:

:wave2: Hi everyone! Thankyou everyone for your pixie dust. :grouphug: I did awesome on my exam!!! I was ecspecially excited that instead of making people wait until the time is up to leave you were able to leave when you finished! The test was done on computers so your score was printed out when you were done. I met with the program director and I am almost in. She was impressed with me and she said it sounds like I would be a great fit. I have to meet with one more person on Tuesday but that is only going to like 15 minutes and the director said that I don't have anything to worry about. I am so excited!!

2xctd2slp--thats funny that you know Boca. I was actually born in Chicago and my family moved to Boca when I was in grade school. Then afer school I moved to Boston and lived there for 4 years. I miss it like crazy. We moved down here because DH wanted to give it a try and so here we are. When I am done with the nursing program we decided to move back. I really loved living in Boston!

So I asked DH what we were going to do and he said "football season is finally here there are games to watch I have to get ready for the draft you know" like hes a coach hahahaha. He never even wins in the fantasy leagues. But heck I am addicted to Disney and the Dis so I can understand.

Lyzziesmom- I hope your ex dosen't quit and leave. :grouphug:

I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend. I have a few errands to run tomorrow and that's about it!
