Pozey...do you do most of the cooking in your house? DH is the much better cook of the 2 of us. He does most of it on the weekends. I hate cooking. I don't mind the cooking, it's the deciding that makes me

Yes, I do most of the cooking.....but only on the weekends. During the week, I don't get to come home......Both boys have swim team practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. So, usually I pick the boys up and we grab something to eat before practice.

On weekends........I love cooking!!

I talked to my mom. This got me wondering how they decided to take us all to Disney. She said that we watched the Wonderful World of Disney and followed the progress of WDW. They always wanted to take us but wouldn't have managed it except my Dad's mom passed away and left them enough money to buy the camper. So thanks to whomever asked that question originally. I got some info I never would have thought to ask.

Lyzziesmom--Hey punkin!!!! Good time at the museum?? Yum, your cherry soda float sounds delish. I actually had DQ for dinner so I guess we are on the same page. I had a strawberry sundae with chocolate ice cream--kind of like a chocolate covered strawberry. Aren't I creative?? whatever.

MImom--Plum books are good for anytime. I love that you were reading it at a baseball game. (baseball, right??--told you I'm not much of a sports fan--forgive me)

MI Mom of 3:: So happy your Hubby made it home safely. I know you're sleeping better knowing he's home safely. I was trying to keep up with his travel status, but was having a hard time with the laptop.DH doesn't believe in paying for highspeed internet at hotels. He believes in this day and age it should be a given, but most resorts do charge. Good thing you took Steph Plum to entertain you at the game!!

Well 2 hours later and maintenance man has arrived. No it's not Buttcrack Boy, but I swear this dude is his EXACT CLONE! It's scary, really. He came in, replaced the air filter, and that's the last I saw of him 23 minutes ago. I did spy him outside having a smoke, so maybe he's coming back?? I tell you, you can't turn your back on these guys for a second! I turned the corner to change Emma into her jammies (didn't want to do it in front of him, never know who the perverts are) and poof! he was gone. Now it's up to 86 degrees downstairs.

2x2s, you're gonna give up your man JD that easily to a (much) younger woman? For shame!

Ok the guy just came back while I was posting... I swear the way this guy has eyeballs on me he makes me want to wear a burqa, sweltering heat or not. Ick! I still don't really know what he did, something about checking meters and hosing things off, and I'm still hot, but I'm told it's fixed. We shall see.

I started reading the Plum book last night, didn't get too far before my eyes refused to focus but I thought holy crapoly! This chick could be me! Except for the Jersey thing that is. I too am 5'7", shoulder length untameable brown hair and blue eyes, and let's not forget how I am the Queen of Bad Decisions. I think I'm going to enjoy these books. Easy reading too, just the thing to whip through. It was a little daunting to think that if I like 'em, theres TWELVE of 'em, but that's ok. I'm such a nerd, I read during my breaks at work and even in traffic while driving - I actually look forward to getting stuck at a red light or in a construction zone. Thanks for the recommendations!! Have any of you read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King? That's my absolute favorite, there's no way to describe it. A very long read but a must-do. In fact, after these Plum adventures I think I will tackle re-reading the Tower.

I must go lie down under the fan now. I'm sweaty in places I forgot I had. Ugh.

I know what you mean about some service men--(no offense service men here). Some are quite scary. I always preface a conversation by saying "we" are having a problem with the air, etc. as in to say "no, I do not live alone"--I hope I am believable.

Yes, his pb popcorn is really verrry good!! Just pop some popcorn and melt a mixture of corn syrup, peanut butter and sugar.You take this mixture and pour over the popcorn and stir a little bit. Very low-cal and good for you too!!

Lyzziesmom - I've been a Stephen King fan for years - since I was younger than my daughter... I never did finish the Dark Tower series, though. In fact, I've lost track of what books are out - did he ever finish the series? I love his stuff, but I always had a problem getting through the DT books, and I've read through the first three about three times. It sounds like you read the same kind of books I do.
I read the first Stephanie Plum (because of these other girls here) and loved the first one - I'm now on the 2nd.
