Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Gas ***. The word that is being filtered out by the Dis is another word for donkey. Or a *bad* word for our rear end.

S. Carolina is where we're planning on going but today I had this brainstorm (that I've NOT discussed w/ DH yet :teeth: ) is that we are young w/ no kidlets and we can move anywhere we want!! Let's just travel around and see the country and decide then where we want to live. You see, we aren't being transferred or anything because of work. Our house has increased in value by 138%. We are set to make a nice profit. Our idea is that we can relocate to an area we both love because neither one of us is in love w/ Delaware. On top of living somewhere we'd like to call home, we'll be able to pay off all of our debt, create and emergency fund of 3-6 months and either be able to pay cash for our new home or have only a tiny mortgage. By doing this DH can go back to school if he wants as can I. Or, he can start out in any position even if it's entry in a new field because w/ no debt how much do you have to make? Of course you don't want to stay at that rate and with that mindset forever but being debt free can provide such opportunity. It will catapault us ahead financially by 15 years. DH is ready to get out of the family business and have his family as his family again and not his business partners and he is just ready to get away from all the family drama and forge our own path. He's excited about it as am I but sometimes I do get a bit emotional even thought I KNOW it's for the best for us. So, there's my story. And I haven't shared my brilliant idea of touring the countryside w/ DH yet. That'll probably go over like a lead balloon. We lived in SC before and we loved it. Should have just stayed. But, then we wouldn't be in a place financially like the sale of this house will allow.
Am I making any sense? I feel my eyelids getting heavier and heavier.

I'm not sure if you all have sensed somewhat of a different tone in my "voice" tonight, and you'll probably all laugh at me, but here's the story.
I was out all day, had a nice lunch, movie, a bit of shopping with my family. I was driving home and it was dinner time. I didn't feel like cooking, so I decided to stop and get a salad. I also decided that I was going to "treat" myself to a glass of wine. Now, keep in mind that I very rarely drink due to medication, so this is a stretch for me. Anyway, I took my salad home, drank my wine and now I am soooooo mellow!!!

I just think it is funny because you all probably wonder what I am drinking on those crazy nights and the one night that I do have a teeny glass of wine, I cannot think of anything witty to save my life. Just call me a lightweight ninny.

So, needless to say, I am going to sleep soon because I cannot keep my eyes awake, or any other part of me for that matter.

Have a good night!! :grouphug:

hoo

Good Evening All!!!

I think I have technically been up since 3am. With the time change from eastern to central time I get confused. :confused3 I find my fingers and mind do not have the capability to function well together!! (But, why should that keep me from posting!)

April:: Glad to hear things are coming along on your home selling. Went through that about 2 years ago when we decided to sell our house and build. I never realized what kind of junk...I mean highly collectible memorabilia(sp?) we had accumulated!! I finally called a junk hauling service to clean out the storage shed!! :rotfl2:

2xcited2slp::You asked me a lot of questions the other night when I was trying to access the internet via DH's Blackberry. Yes, the castle still turns colors. Are they getting rid of the anniversary decorations? I haven't heard much discussion about that. Would be awful for that to be going on during a visit!!YEECH

YourMajesty::I think I referred to your 9 year-old child as a DD. Is she a boy?? Why did I think otherwise? I'm sorry for the mistake.

My first trip to WDW was with my DSis(she is 18 months younger than I). The only park I knew of was MK, but EPCOT might have been open I just didn't know it. My next trip was in 1990 with DH. Just wanted somewhere to get away for a week and started doing a little digging into WDW. That was probably the trip that started it all for me as far as WDW is concerned. As a young kid we had relatives in Whittier that we visited abouit every summer...and of course DL was always on the agenda!!

I think I may have to go to bed now....getting tired.. :cloud9:

2xcited:: Whoops I took too long to post. I had to put DS to bed, he was falling asleep on the couch. Nite-Nite and have a good Sunday. Will talk to you all tomorrow night? Gotta dig myself out from this laundry..help help

Whoopsy, I missed all the late night activity tonight. Looks like 2x2s is this weekend's designated drinker! Ha! I'm not supposed to drink on my meds either, but I occasionally do. Heck the meds don't really work anyway.

My 1st trip to WDW that I can remember was in I think 1981, 2nd grade. I was all of 6 or 7 years old. The only thing I really remember was that it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. (Don't they all start out that way?) Then not a year later, my dad got transferred to.... Orlando! Before we even moved into our house, we went back to WDW. By this time I had a new brother and Epcot was open. I remember they had these robots that would draw your picture, and we had to wait in line so long for that, that we missed the laser light show. Another night we stayed in the MK for the Main Street Electrical Parade and I was allowed to stay up until (gasp!) 1am!! I remember cutting my leg trying to step over a chain while waiting for the tram to go back to the car, and I was bleeding all over the tram, and nobody said or did anything. But I wouldn't cry until we left Disney property. Last year was my first time staying on property, and with the DDP I discovered table service! Between those two things, I rediscovered Disney in a whole new way.

So I guess I've always been a Disney freak. And now I'm passing it on to my kids... I took Emma for her birthday this year in May (well ok technically I took her before her b-day, because that way she could still fly for free!) and she still will say to me "castle, Disney, Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy!" out of the blue. They are the only words she really says clearly enough that anyone can understand!!

I just realized I gush about my kids a LOT. If my yammering is too much, please feel free to stop me. They are really the only thing I have in my life that means anything, so I do tend to go on about them.

April, I can't decide if that prancing Spiderman is hilarious or deeply disturbing. Where on earth did you find him, and perhaps more importantly... why??

2x2s, I showed Lyzzie a JD POTC2 puzzle in the store today (she doesn't know I bought it for her, for her b-day) and said "oh look it's your boyfriend!" and she said "yup" so I guess we are both out of luck. :confused3

It certainly is, isn't it? Where's the yawning smiley?

There was apparently a party at the pool here last night until almost 3am. From 2 buildings away, at the far end of the building, upstairs... I could hear laughing, yelling, squealing, and the occasional "Hey gimme another beer!" :thumbsup2 to the late-night partiers (not a thumb).

Absolutely!! :thumbsup2

The Kitchen breakfast buffet was fabulous!!! :woohoo:

Morning, all! A beautiful, hot Sunday mornin' it is!

Pozey No offense dahling, but I can't divulge the answer to your "where does she work" question. ;) Would you believe she had to close last night, though, and she didn't get home until 1:00!!! The stores were a wreck, and she has to clean up after the slobs who leave all their stuff in the fitting rooms, and tear up the displays. Those poor kids! Oh, well, those hours will change when school starts next week.

A good morning to Lyzziesmom, Donna, Linda, Nicole, Amber, Ashley, April, and anyone I've left out... I'm off to church but will check in later!

Good Morning!

Welcome back Donna! :wave2: I hope you had a great trip! Thanks for breakfast!

Lyzziesmom- Well since I don't have any kids I'm kind of a bad judge as to whether not Talladega Nights is ok for kids. It is kind of raunchy.

That spiderman smilie is creepy!

My love for WDW came last year. I guess this site helps fuel that addiction too. In a good way! I first went to WDW in 1991 as a kid and loved it, then I went in 1997, (whenever the castle was a cake) I decided then I would move to Florida when I graduated HS to go to college. Well as you can see that never happened. Then last year for my Dsis's bday celebration us and some friends went to WDW and I found this site through another message board I lurk at and the rest is history! I then decided that I had to take DBF there, he had been to DL many times as a child but had to experince WDW.

My mom said a few days ago that when her and my dad retire they might move to Florida! I'm surprised she didn't say Las Vegas. She loves it there. I doubt it will happen but it would be nice if it did!

That breakfast buffet really hit the spot, thanks Donna! So nice to have you back with us.

Well I'm off to take the kiddos to the Kansas City Museum. We've never been there and it seems interesting. It's too darn hot to be outdoors today, but we must venture farther than Target once every weekend. My mission lately is to be "tourist in my hometown" and see all the sights that I have yet to see. I'm discovering that this is quite the busy town!

I'm really enjoying everyone's "beginning of the addiction stories," what fun!

Good whatever time of the day it is right now to all you crazy kids out there in cliqueless land.--

How was everyone's night??

Soon after I spoke to you last night I read maybe about two pages in my book, turned a nice soothing CD on, set the sleep timer on it and don't even think I made it through the first song. I was out like a light. Hmmm, makes me think I should have a glass of wine before bed every night?? :rotfl: Maybe the solution to my in-som-knee-ya problems. Nah--wouldn't want to get a reputation. :teeth:

April--I will be your luggage carrier, personal assistant, chef, floor mopper, back scratcher, light turner on-er, ANYTHING if you let me go with you on your worldly adventures. I read this is AWE--had to pick my jaw of the ground. You are so fortunate to be in the situation that you are in!! What type of family business does your DH have?? What part of SC?? Remember the "my spot" link you gave a while back??--many of my choices came up as the Carolinas. :)

Donna--Are you getting your things done?? Vacation is so enjoyable but it is kind of poopy when you get back. All of that catching up to do--here!! :teeth:

Darn I missed breakfast, maybe tomorrow---good to have ya back!!! ;) ;)

Lyzziesmom--designated drinker my booty. I just can't do it anymore. tisk tisk--lightweight, I'm sayin'.

Don't you love seeing the kids' faces when they see something at WDW (or anywhere for that matter) for the first time?? I was fortunate to be with my niece on her second B-day at WDW. Her eyes were like saucers on every ride. She LOVED, loved, loved the characters. She would actually run up to them and give them a big hug. We were at a meet and greet and she just got her photo with Donald. When she was finished she was walking backwards, waving her little hand and saying "bye duck, see ya morrow". We then took her to a character breakfast at Artist Point at WL--which they don't offer anymore, btw-- and it was Winnie the Pooh themed. Eeyore fell in love with her. He hung around alot, sneeking up on her, helping her color, etc. We have everything on video--she would look around the room saying "hi pooh, hi gigger, hi donkey (which actually sounded more like "donggie" with a nasaly n). She said this in a strange sing-songy voice. sigh--melts my heart.

Please do not stop talking about Lyzzie and Emma!! I love hearing about the little ones. Since I do not have any and most likely never will, I must live vicariously through you guys. This is why it is going to be hard having my "kids" move away. You made me tear up at your comment about how yours are the only thing in your life that really means anything. What is it with you and making me cry, girl?? ;) Really touching, seriously.

I guess I should give up on JD because I don't stand a chance against Lyzzie!!
We fought a good fight, though.

When are we going to Paris?? :artist: One of my favorite songs is "La Vie en Rose". I go around humming it alot. Yep, that's me--life through rose colored glasses. So cliche.

DznyFan--wow, your DD has more talent in her big toe than I could ever wish to have!!!! I love musicals, theater, opera, all of that crazy, stuffy stuff--yeah, that makes sense  . Anyway, I love it all and always wished I had some talent in that area--but, well, no such luck. I'm a good singer in the shower and in my car and around my house, though. At least that's what I think. But, I still enjoy every minute of other peoples' talents.

It's sad that the politics rule even things like regional theatre. It always comes down the the mighty dollar. :sad2:

Nicole--that would be wonderful if your parents could retire in Florida!! What part do you think they would reside??

Hi to everyone else who has not visited yet today.

I met a friend at Starbuck's this morning so I must get some things done around the house today. I will try to check back in a bit.

Thanks for everyone's "How It All Began" stories. It is interesting to hear why we are all utlimately here.

Have a glorious day!!!!
