Welcome back Donna! :wave2:

DznyFan....Talladega Nights does look funny. I probably won't see it at the theater though.....probably will have to wait for DVD. Have your DD give us a review.

Just returned from Ted's. Got a full tummy now. And enough leftovers for at least a couple of days.

However.......there's always room for ice cream!! :thumbsup2

Hey pozey, after you posted you were going to Ted's I've been so hungry. My mom is brining dinner out (my sister is going out of town and we have all of her grandkids out here in Owasso). We went to Wooland Hills today...you would have thought it was xmas...but I refrained from getting anywhere near Ted's. It's so hard to find t-shirt for little boys this time of year. Glad you enjoyed your lunch!

Dznyfan...yes, that would seem odd to me. It's nice that they are friendly with the neighbors but that was a bit intrusive...I'm kind of an introvert myself...so I understand what you are saying. Well, I bet the beignets were good even if they were only chips...at least DD got out of bed. :thumbsup2

We always go to the Disney store...probably walked right by you. :cheer2:

Hey Linda, have fun at the mall. I have to scoot...need to clean my dining room table off before the family gets here. :yay: I'll be back a little later...I'm going to need to celebrate my post count soon. :woohoo:

Donna! Glad to hear you made it back safely, but now you'll be in the Post-Disney depression as previously discussed. Sorry for you for that. Hope your trip was magical!

Ok we're back :)... we got the Harley out and rode down about 45 min. to the Polaris Mall which is at the north end of Columbus...yes I'm in Cols. 5 days a week and can't stop through the week...I wanted to go to Sephora and re-supply my Bare Escentuals make up, get some shine spray for my hair and of coarse stop at the Disney Store...got Kenny a power rangers polo and a Mickey shirt... had to watch the buying..can only fit so much in the saddle bags... we got home and threw some steaks and corn on the grill..YUMMM and then hopped back on the bike and went to our local mall...got Kenny some more clothes at Gymboree and Gap :rolleyes1 I guess I shop a little too much for him... but he's an only child what do you expect? :) I've gotten him 21 shirts for school...I think that is more than plenty and 6 pr jeans and all the other necessities...

2xcited2slp-no more creme brulee...had to be the sickness. Mike will not touch pineapple since it made him sick one time... You might like the choc. kind :goodvibes Yes...we loved the low crowd levels. It wasn't bad at all plus w/fastpasses... no problem at all :thumbsup2 Your poor mom has every right to be upset!! It will be nice to be able to visit them in FL...but you do get so attached..and your poor neice!!!! :grouphug: cherish the time now b/c Sept. 1 will be here before you know it. Maybe they'll move back and not like it there?

Loved the pix Pozey...your weather is like Ohio... UNPREDICTABLE! It will change from one minute to the next!

YourMajesty- I HOPE and PRAY I can work from home soon... even if ony a few days a week...I'm getting so excited :Pinkbounc but I know I have to wait and see...It is driving me  I couldn't hardly go to sleep last night I was so excited.

Lyzziesmom... uncle I don't know... :rotfl: that is so cute! and no spiders in the rear... oh my... that child can come up w/some good ones can't she!!! How is the packing coming along? Counting down the trip to wdw I'm sure!

Dznyfan :grouphug: so sorry your dh party got crashed by rude neighbors...we are very close to our neighbors...but they don't invite themselves in and go through stuff like that. We have respect for each others property and their company...but I would think that is just common sense??? :sad2:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend... Michele..so glad Blake is home and had a great bag of goodies for you guys. I'll have to remember the hockey sale...Kenny may want to play someday? Now he's starting soccer.. Hope you guys had plenty of time to be re-aquainted;)

Hi April, Ashley,Amber, and everyone else I forgot... :)

/
....it's past 7pm and I'm still reading these posts when I SHOULD be sorting laundry!!! Where are those laundry Maidsies?? YOO HOO YOO HOO!!! :thumbsup2 (THAT is NOT a thumb for the laundry!!!)

Donna, good to see you back! Hope you had a great time, I bet it was hot hot HOT. This was my least favorite time of year when I lived in FL... although everything but a couple of weeks in Feb. felt pretty much the same. As much as I grumble in the winter now, I really missed having seasons. Anyway, I see you got caught up on the posts! :thumbsup2 A few of us have some less than stellar moments lately. Ok it was mostly me, but who's counting?

Nicole, we saw the trailer for Talladega Nights before POTC2 and Lyzzie nearly fell out of her chair laughing. It looks pretty good, but would you say it's appropriate for kids? I mean, she does have a pretty silly sense of humor (wonder where that comes from?) and she knows the difference between what's ok to repeat in public and what's not, but I still don't like to take her to anything with raunchy humor, and with Will Ferrell you never know!

Wow Linda, pozey, YM... I almost went to the mall today too, how funny! Of course, I would not have seen any of you since I'm a little far away from everyone. After this morning's packing frenzy I was beat and too sore to move for a while, so I rested and then we went to Target. Wouldn't you know, I just went for milk & cheese and ended up dropping about 60 bucks. I have a love/hate relationship with that place. 2x2s, I think I saw the shower curtain you were telling me about and I'm pretty sure it's the same one I was eyeing last week but I'm waiting for it to go on sale. There were actually about 3 I really liked, but since I already have green stripey towels, I really like your ideas! I was laughing to myself in the bathroom aisle, thinking about how this silly anonymous chick I've never even met is thinking of my pink bathroom while she shops!

Ok well I bought Lyzzie a new computer game and the girl is going to strangle me if I don't let her play it.

Oh I almost forgot... I picked up One for the Money today and will probably start it tonight. I usually read horror/thrillers so this looks like it'll be a change from what I'm used to, but it came highly recommended so I figured what the hey? It was weird, they had #'s 1 and 2, and then I think it skipped to 9 (which I at first misread as To the Ninny!)

YourMajesty said:

Yep....probably.....

Did you see a guy who looked JUST LIKE Johnny.....oh, never mind.... :rotfl:

I would have been pushing my little Courtney in her stroller.

Well kids, you know you're on the DIS too much when you are having a conversation with someone and in your head you are inserting smilies as you speak.

Oh, you enjoyed your lunch?? good vibes shaky smilie.
Oh, that was so funny what you just told me. little green slappy slappy laughy smilie.
Oh, you just cut me off in the mall parking lot. not a thumb smilie.

Roll eyes smilie and big toothy grin smilie for me maybe losing it just a bit.

Nicole--oh, I knew that. I had been seeing previews for this but just didn't know what it was called. I am not a huge Will Ferrell fan but cracked up at the movie ELF, so maybe I will see it since you thought it was so funny. I'll let you know.

YM-- :worship: :worship: No, let's not give addresses over the net. I'm sure they would not appreciate that. Wow, it is a small world though.

It's funny that you mention about what high school your cousin went to. Do you know that this is "THE" question to ask St. Louisans. I have no idea whatsoever why. I never realized it was just in our city until about 5 years ago. St. Louis is such a clique-ey city (gasp) and this question gives a person an idea of what the others are like according to where they grew up. Makes no sense to me and to be honest, I hate it because people really start stereotyping according to their areas and what high school. You can be 50 years old and still have this question asked to you--I have heard it personally in a very chic exclusive store--two woman, at least late 50's, early 60's were talking and one asked the other--"so, where did you go to high school??" I almost PP'd in my pants pants. :lmao:

p.s. I am assuming that your spelling of supercalfragaleeelllaaaalooooo is correct?? because, as you know we have a spelling nazi in our midst. :magnify:

::cop: could this be?? our dear friend Morelli??

Pozey--Good answer, good answer. You're momma did raise you right. We knew you're a keeper. :smooth:
Thanks, BTW--is that a Bernaise sauce I see with that steak?? I can't tell what's in the little dish. Looks yumm-o either way!!

DznyFan--wow, only two weeks ago. People were making it sound like it was months and months ahead of time. Gives me hope, because, other than WDW, I have become kind of a spur of the moment gal.
Okay, your friends' neighbors gives a whole new meaning to "can I borrow a cup of sugar". Yes, I think this is pretty nervy. What was your friend's reaction?? Could they tell you were uncomfortable?? It was YOUR DH's b-day, for goodness sakes.

Lyzziesmom--YOU----WITTY???---------never!!!!!!!!!!!! :badpc: :badpc: :stir:

DONNA-------------WELCOME HOME CHICA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was thinking about you this morning, wondering if you were on the plane back to the midwest. Did the laundry maidies make themselves known yet?? Send them my way when you're finished. :laundy:

Yes, I keep telling Lyzziesmom that Capt'n Jack aka Johnny D. is MINE but she just doesn't believe me. I don't know what more to say to her to make her know that it IS true!!!!! pirate: She just gets so jealous. :confused3 :teeth:

Am I getting this straight?? Pozey, YM and DznyFan all at the same mall at the same time??? WIERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

And why do I have the sudden urge to hop a plane to go to Ted's?? answer that one for me, will ya??

Linda--yes, I guess I will try some chocolate creme brulee--don't have to twist my arm--in fact, I am sure I am over the other fear by now but I won't go out of my way to make it or order it. I'm into chocolate molten cakes, or souffles (very similar) right now. Also into lemon right now, lemon tarts, lemon curd filled profiteroles, etc. even though I am a dark chocolate diva.

Kenny must have quite the wardrobe!!!!!

Thanks for your concern as well for my sister's moving situation. Unfortunately, they lived in Florida for a little over ten years, moved to Charlotte for a year, then back home to St. Louis. My BIL's company is based out of the Ft. Lauderdale area and his boss was "doing him a favor" by letting him work from St. Louis. Well, the boss got tired of commuting him back and forth every couple of months so insists they transfer back to Florida. What else can they do?? not much. Yes, we will visit often. It was kind of a second home to me when they lived there so I know it quite well.

Yep, just call me the phantom shopper.
I don't know if they run sales at the same time, but I am in Target fairly often--but then again, so are you, it seems--so if I see it on sale, I will let you know.

And, Yay for your first Plum book. If you read thriller/horror, then you will have no problem with the suspense part of these books. As I have mentioned before, I am a huge chicken. These just have this, plus comedy, plus steaminess in them. :smokin: We can't wait to hear what you think of them.
and yes, the author dedicated #9 to me--the ninny.

Where is everyone?? No one wants to be my date for the evening?? :guilty:

Hi to April--how's it going with the house??
Ash, Amber, MImom
and anyone else I may have forgotten

I am a bit concerned about Dolphinrescuegirl. Anyone else?? Anyone seen or heard from her?? Don't know if there is anything we can do, though.
If you're out there, please just let us know you're good.

I think we all had a meet without meeting. The fam and I went to WH Mall today, too - OMG what a zoo!!!! DD works there and she said it was nuts last night - she was right. We ate at Pei Wei after - about 3:00.. mmmmmmm, good. DD has to work again, and she was dreading the mall crowd. Can't say as I blame her.
Yes it was a zoo.

Which store does your DD work in?

Reading one of YM's posts made me think of something. She mentioned that she did not go to WDW as a kid, so I was just wondering how and when you all got hooked on WDW. This is a Disney board, is it not?? So, let's talk the talk.

For me, my story is that my aunt lives in S. Florida so when we were kids we used to visit her every other year, if not every year. As a family, we would visit her first, then drive to WDW. Sometimes we would even skip visiting her and fly directly to Orlando. So, my first trip was when I was about 4. My mom had it down pat with the requests of room assignments in the Poly. :sunny:

I know this is a really mellow conversation, especially for me, but I was just curious. princess:

I am so JEALOUS!! I would love to have a Harley.

My former neighbor used to own a Yamaha dealership. He let me borrow anything I wanted at any time. I miss that. We once drove up to Colorado and rode through the mountains for a couple of days.

I miss that.

Well, I'm back after a day of being a gas *** and running the roads. Am I allowed to say that on the Dis? :teeth:

Went shopping early this AM for parts.

Then, I went to our local Peach Festival and ate food I should not have eaten. Went to dinner and had food I shouldn't have eaten. Went to our local Bruster's AND REALLY had food I shouldn't have eaten. That ice cream alone probably had 17-22 points in it :faint: and my daily allowance is 24 points a day. Let's just say that I absolutely BLEW it today!! So much for WW. I used so many points today that I should be able to eat again maybe by . . . . . . ummm :scratchin . . . . . . . . Tuesday? :rolleyes2

Went to the nursery today and picked up the rest of our plants for landscaping tomorrow and also had our house measured for new carpet.

I spent the day w/ my sister and brother in law and I'm sad :sad1: because I know it won't be long now when we won't have the opportunity with us moving out of state 12 hours away but it's what's best for our family (mine and DH). Still it makes me get a little emotional and I just have to push it out of my mind and will myself to enjoy the now and stop worrying about what is to come. Still, it's not easy.

I'm pretty tired and I need a shower. I'm dusty and dirty from walking around the peach orchards and morning and church comes early.

I don't know if I'll get caught up tonight or tomorrow. I need to go to sleep.

Let's see.....how it all began......

I was born in Florida, albeit quite a bit south of Orlando. However, my family did make the trek northward to Disney a few times early in my childhood.

Fast forward several years.....Okay, more than a several....
I was living in Oklahoma and my oldest brother and my mother were still in Florida. So, me and my youngest brother would drive to Florida to visit. We would always stop by Disney at least for a day or two. I can vaguely recall going to Epcot not long after it opend.

Fast forward a few more years....me, my future wife, and our best friends hopped in a car and headed to Florida to visit my mom and brother. Once again, we took a little detour to the World. That would be the beginning of true love for my DW.....not with me.....with Disney World. pirate:

Fast forward a few more years....Here Comes the Bride, Here comes the Bride......One day after the "I Do's", DW and I are on a plane to Disney World

Since that time, we have visited in 2000, 2001, 2005, and 2006.

Hi April girlie--

Well, I'm back after a day of being a gas *** and running the roads. Am I allowed to say that on the Dis? :teeth:

okay, you've got me on this one. Give me a hint. and I thought I was a professional. :teeth:

Don't worry about WW. Tomorrow is another day. Don't beat yourself up over it--you are at least aware of what happened. You should be able to enjoy yourself once in a while.

Are you moving to N.Carolina or S.Carolina--sorry I cannot remember. Yes, I know too well what it is like to be away from family. :grouphug: :grouphug: Sounds like we may be in very similar situations.

That "smilie" or whatever you call it is the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Yikes. I have never seen Napoleon Dynamite, though. It's on my list, though because people say it is funny in a really stupid kind of way.

Get some rest, you have been working very hard lately. :sunny:

Awww, Pozey--very sweet story!!!

You and DW sound awesome. :sunny:

Oh, and BTW--I was scrolling through some old cliqueless posts a while back and I guess there were several that I skipped or something because I don't ever recall seeing the photo of your daughter. Oh my goodness--she is absolutely beautiful!! You'll be beating the guys away from your door when she gets older!!
