I just pm'd you with the meaning.

Don't you love the Stephanie Plum books. Somebody has to make these into a movie. I was thinking about the casting the other day and the only one I knew for sure should be in it is Queen Latifah would make a great Lula.

Come on everyone...who do you all think should play the parts?
I think Queen L as Lula would be great! :rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone!

I am going to try and catch up with all the posts.

hellokitty86, I LOVE school supplies too. I have a serious collection of pens. It's a sickness.

ForTheLoveofDisney and hellokitty86, DH and I also have a hard time shopping. He does all the cooking, so even though we try and plan meals ahead of time, somedays he doesn't want to actually cook. We either end up going out to eat or we'll go to the store and buy a bunch of junk. We usually try to shop every other week. We'll plan our meals and get veggies. Well, within a few days, the veggies are bad (according to DH, he won't eat anything even near the exp. date). That's more money down the drain.

My birthday is today and I spent an hour of it at the DMV. It didn't open until 8:30am so I thought if I got there by 8, I would be first in line. WRONG! I waited in a huge line outside (it was near 90º) then I finally was able to actually go inside. My picture looks horrible, because I was so hot. YUCK!

I then get to work and my co workers had covered my desk in balloons, streamers, banners. It was crazy, but it brightened my day. I did go last night to my mom's house for my "party". It was just some family, but it was nice. She got me a Cinderella cake with glass slipper. Very cute. DH got me a Winnie the Pooh cake, and my coworkers just made me a cake. I can't eat anymore cake!

OMG... I left for the weekend and had like 8 pages of reading to try to catch up!! DS was sick all weekend. I took him to the Dr. Friday morning and they were cracking up at him... he was telling them...I've got a headache, a fever, my stomach hurts, I've been throwing up, I have a ear ache and my glands are swollen, I need drugs! They were calling him Dr. Kenny and asking him if he wanted to work there... He is friends w/the Dr.'s son. She is great, the sweetest most comfortable Dr. in the world :grouphug: She gave him some antibiotics and he was sick until last night... he finally asked for some food this morning. Poor little guy couldn't keep anything down.

Wow...I missed so much!!

Lucas-that is awesome your birthday is on our anniversary :)

I was having withdrawl big time... no internet at our cabin in KY:(!!!! I hope you all had a great weekend... I hope things get better... seems like quite a few of you had an interesting weekend.

So sorry to hear things were so rough for your little guy. I had hoped he would have been feeling better. :guilty: Glad he's starting to feel like his old self now, though. :) We missed you and are glad you're back. But it's nice to get away sometimes too.

Thanks so much April :) He's much better now, thankfully!
I think we should have just stayed home and went down another time, but he wanted to go so bad..and so did dh... we went ahead and went down. Dr. said it would be fine...so I went ahead and tried it. He did good... dh's brother and 2 nephews were also going so I didn't want to change everyone's plans... the guys picked about 5 gallons of blackberries!! Yummm!!! Of coarse they all had a blast riding the atv's! I took care of ds and cropped tons of pictures for our WDW scrapbook that I need to do :)!!!

Happy Birthday Amber!!! party: :rockband: :bday: :cake:

Linda, I have a few pictures from my WDW trip from Dec that need to be put in a scrapbook that are just sitting around waiting for me to become creative! I have everything I need. Maybe this weekend I'll get started on it. It's so sad, they've been sitting there for over 7 months. I am just so uncreative. My next trip will probably be over and they'll still be sitting there.

7 months? You're doing great Nicole! :teeth: I took 15 rolls of film when I went down in 2003. That is like a ton of pictures!! Anyway, I was snapping pictures of everything. All the buildings and the architecture. Iwanted to capture and remember it all!!
icon_dazed.gif

I even became crazed one day in Toontown Fair. I had only brought in two rolls of film that morning. We were there for Early Entry and ended up in a virtually empty park. It took no time going through those two little rolls of film when I was capturing every single building and scene with no one in the park. Eventually we made it over to an empty Toontown and AAAAGGGGHHHH the horror. I was out of film. Quick I say to DH like a film junkie, "Quick, I need some money!! I need more film."
icon_please.gif
icon_panic.gif
And he was like, "For what haven't you taken enough pictures this morning?" And I was like, "Don't question me just give me some money!" So we walked over to the little stand and it was like $10.00 for a roll of film. Now before we even went down there I had gotten a 8 rolls of film for like $12.00 at Sam's. But I didn't care, I NEEDED the film. So, I bought it. Yes, just stick a joker's hat on me and call me crazy! :joker: Not one of my best moments I'll admit. Luckily, these pictures did make it in the scrapbook.

Anyway, I came home and it cost me a small fortune to develop all the pictures.

I started scrapping and scrapping and scrapping. And then I ran out of steam. And I felt burnt out as you probably can imagine.
I finally finished Magic Kingdom last year and I feel so burnt out to even attempt the other 3 parks.

I've since been 3 other times and I'm lucky if I even took a roll of film on each of those trips.

I'm ready to just say forget my attempt at the 360 pictures from 2003 and just start over with a few well meaning pictures. What do you all think?

Also, I need to broaden my horizons. I have like 50 gazillion pictures of Disney(ok, maybe not that many) and only a very small few of real life. I need to just start capturing real life moments.

Oh the joys of scrapbooking.

That's so funny April! :rotfl: In Dec I took about 300 pics. But I narrowed that down. For the Osborne Family Lights I took 2 pics of of everything one with flash and one without! :rotfl2: Then I just picked the best ones! I have absolutely no pictures from my June 2005 trip though. :sad2: When I got home I tried to delete one from my camera and accidentally deleted them all! :sad2: All my memories down the drain. And my Dsis's too. It was her B-day trip. She was sooo mad when I told her. That's why I had to go back in Dec! :teeth:

Oh, goodness, April - that sounds just like me!!! I never really finished my 2003 book. Just "ran out of steam" as you put it. Then in 2004 I bought a Disney Cruise Line scrapbook on the ship that is still sitting around. I still haven't had any of those photos printed. Then the Christmas '05 trip (not printed) and the May/June '06 trip (not printed). Then there's 11 years of trips prior to the 2003 trip all on film that I said I wanted to scrapbook each trip - HA HA HA HA HA - WHAT WAS I THINKING?? :lmao: It is a grocery bag FULL of Disney trips photos.
You know, I suppose if I didn't work full time and have a teenager, I might actually get it accomplished. I suppose I need to put that on a "things to do before I die" list - scrapbook all the Disney trips. Of course, at the rate I go, it would take me the rest of my life to get it all finished.

Amber ~ Happy Birthday!!:bday:

I had all the stuff too...It took me almost 5 years to get ds's scrapbook even started, but once I did...I had it done in a few days. Then I did one a week later of our trip last year to Yellowstone... now I'm about done w/ our wedding scrapbook and then I'll start our disney one. I know how you feel about being creative!! I just take examples from other things I've seen... use the die cuts, stickers..whatever...I'll post some pix sometime...I think they have some on the scrap portion here on the dis too.. just set aside a time to start cropping them...and you'll get in the mood to do it. It'll be done in no time :) I had about 50 pages to crop this weekend...I did about 1/2 of them. It is very time consuming, but once I drag all that stuff out... I go crazy! I love it! It is fun!!

April!! You sound like me :) I took 616 pix. on our last trip... I think you need a digital camera :)!!!! No film, no developing!! I just download them to my computer, put them on a disc just in case something happens to the computer... I have a photo printer...I can print up to an 11x14...so that works just fine for us... I have a 6 gig card for my camera so I can take about 1800 pictures just on that memory card :woohoo: that is at high res too!! :) then I can just sit and decide the size I want for the scrapbooks and start printing away.

If I have the time to do this... anyone can! I'm gone 6:30 am-6:30pm working, get home, eat, spend about 1 hour w/ds and dh..give ds a bath and then chill for about an hour or so... do some scrapbooking, watch some tv, get on the dis...whatever...and it's time to go to bed and do it all over again. Trust me, you guys can do it :)

I just scanned some great recipies if any of you are interested, I can email them to you. Just pm me your email addresses. dh made the cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster
yumyum.gif
there are ones for Olive Garden, Wendys,Cheesecake Factory, Honeybaked Ham, KFC, Ihop, Cinnabon.... several tasty ones!!

You know unless your card was completely full, you can recover those pictures!!! My co-worker has done that before. If it wasn't full, let me know and I'll get the info on how to re-capture those pix!!!!

Too bad we're all so spread out...we'd have to get together and do some scrapping!! Just a little motivation and our books would be done :) I've got about everything Creative Memories a person would need!!

DsnyFan.....sounds like you guys had a pretty good day at the Art of Barbeque. Those results are pretty good. I e-mailed my friend earlier this morning to see how they finished, but haven't heard back from him.

Our company had a picnic this weekend. They had a dessert contest and I won 1st prize. I made a chocolate marble cheesecake (my specialty). I won $50. :cool1:

And welcom to Ready to go in Ok........another Tulsa area DISer who is in the cliqueless Clique. :thumbsup2

Hey everybody :sunny:

I had another rough night last night! I was dreaming about something, I can't really remember what it was but I started screaming VERY loud in my sleep last night. My DH kept talking to me to calm me down, but I think I thought I was still dreaming so I kept screaming.?? I don't know, but this morning he said he was afraid I would wake the neighbors or they were going to call the poilce,so he sat awake most of the night and he said I hurt his ears. Sorry DH. I feel bad now.

Amber-
Happy Birthday! I could go for some cake right about now, send it over here if your done with it. Hope you have a great day!! :)

April and Amber:
I absolutely hate grocery shopping. Like I said, we went to the grocery store Saturday and I was hungry (big mistake) and had no grocery list, so I got all this crap that I don't normally eat in the first place. Now I have all this junkfood laying around the house! Doesn't do much good for my diet.

April again :)
We really want to buy a new digital camera for this trip, but I don't think thats gonna happen, so I'm going to bring my trusty old camera. I really want to start taking more pictures in general too, so I hope I will remember for the trip and then I will just scan them in. (And remember to take pics for the food porn thread!) They come out pretty good, the pictures I took from the 2004 trip, I will post some pictures from that trip on here, I think they are pretty clear?? Actually I think I only have 2 pics on the computer from tht trip but I'll post them anyway. However, I don't think I'd even attempt scrapbooking. I'm not very good at that type of stuff, and it would be just like me to buy a whole bunch of scrap booking supplies and have them sitting in the closet.

Nicole: I'm sorry to hear about your digital pictures being deleted. Thats sad :sad2:

pozey: Congrats on winning the dessert contest! Can you share the recipe, or is it top secret?

No cliques here. Don't do 'em in real life; don't do 'em on the internet. I've been on this board for a logn time too; just don't post too much.

congratulations!! That's awesome! And despite just having eaten lunch, making me hungry....

Do you have any idea what your friend's team name is? I don't have the results in front of me, but I'd know if I recognized the name if it's a team that placed in anything.

Congratulations Pozey!!! A chocolate marble cheesecake sounds good right about now!

Ashley, pixiedust: Here's some pixie dust for good dreams.

Linda, I don't think the card was full. When it happened, I asked on here if there was anything I could do and someone said that if I didn't touch anything else, and didn't take anymore pics I might be able to get them back. Well I took another picture after everything got erased! So I just said oh well, lesson learned. But if there is a way to get them back....

there are undelete programs that you can use to get them back. He did the same thing you did and recovered them. He wasn't sure exactly which one he used. He said he'll look tonight. I did a search on undelete programs and looks like this should work:http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/

or maybe this one:http://www.2brightsparks.com/uoc/index.html

I hope you can recover them! That would be awesome!!

ETA:
Oh...did you try the photo rescue site that was on the other thread? Looks like that site might have worked as well. You should be able to get them back!!
