Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Good morning everyone! Things are crazy around here, I'll be glad when this week is over! We're getting a new phone system at work which is long overdue, but they're doing the installation during business hours - it's nuts! Our long distance service went out this morning (again) and my boss won't put out an internal email about it, so I'm getting tons of calls from employees to "let me know" that it doesn't work... even though I have absolutely nothing to do with it and they know that. The phones are going crazy, either not working or ringing but there's no call coming in -- can I just go back to bed?!

This morning at home my dad started bugging me about looking for another job. He was pushing me to try for a production position at this company (publishing). I tried to explain that a) the production jobs are few & far between, and most employees have been here for 20+ years and aren't leaving, and b) I have been out of the design business for over 10 years and my experience is hopelessly outdated, I'd need to pretty much start over with schooling, and c) I DON'T WANT TO! He said, "You are the smartest person I've ever met. Why are you such an idiot?" Thanks Dad. :headache:

Lyzziesmom, its great you could be going to WDW!!! Why do you have to take Lyzzies's dad and his parents to be able to go? nevermind, I just read its because its hard to travel with both girls! I hope you are able to go. Fingers crossed!!

Yes, that and I need them to pay for Lyzzie's airfare. I can't afford the trip on my own, but if they come with then they can pay for her and my parents will pay for Emma, and I have a free flight voucher. That leaves me only with the room cost and food - that way I can do a week at WDW for under $500! I'm still waiting to hear back from them, I hope they got my email. This is killing me, I want to just start planning already!! Glad to hear Ruby is ok. I wonder what prompted them to check her ears? We put our tree up yesterday, it's not decorated yet but it's out of the basement. Roxy spent a good part of the evening chewing on the light cords, and I spent just as much time chasing her away. My dad says, "Oh she'll stop when she gets zapped." :scared1: Uh.. no thanks! We are already losing one cat, I don't want to lose the other one too!

lyzziesmom:: I hope Lyzzie's grandparents come through with the airfare!! A trip in the planning sounds like such fun!!

I hope so too! I'm obsessively checking my email!

It was so hard getting up this morning. I got used to not having to get up for work.

Oh I had the same problem. I called my alarm clock a liar this morning! What happened to it being light in the morning?? That didn't last long. Glad you made it to work on time! It seems like we are perpetually running late in the mornings, it drives me nuts. Of course, if I could wake up on time.... :rolleyes1

The girls didn't want to go to sleep last night, so of course that made this morning especially rough. Emma "needed me" at 9:30 -- they'd been in bed for 2 hours -- to keep her company and sing to her. So we had an impromptu singalong of Bingo and Old MacDonald. It's times like these I'm glad we don't live in an apartment any more! :scared: Emma was very cute trying to keep up with the Bingo clapping, and making up animals that lived on Old MacD's farm. At one point her version went like this:
...and on his farm he had a Lyzzie! EIEIO
with a LyzzieLyzzie here and a LyzzieLyzzie here
there goes Lyzzie theres Lyzzie everywhere Lyzzie MacDonald... EIEIO!

We were cracking up, and I knew she needed to sleep but it was so much fun I didn't want to stop. I paid for it this morning though.

Lyzziesmom----hope you get to go to WDW!!!
did I miss Lyzzie's birthday???? or I am I losing my mind??

Howdy stranger! Lyzzie's birthday was back in September, just after we got back from our family trip to WDW. She's 9 and definitely a preteen, attitude and all! Oh my, so they had you hauling bags of laundry back & forth? I can't even keep up with my own laundry, they'd have to pay me quite a bit extra to bring that dirty work home with me. Would that be considered overtime? ;)

YM: Only three weeks! I'm so jealous!! Do you need a photographer? A videographer? A luggage schlepper? A keeper of the ADR's? Anything?? Bueller?

How about a little napkin waving this morning? Last one to Chef Mickey's is a rotten egg!!

My favorite Chef Mickey's picture, from back in May of last year:
DisneyMay06265.jpg

Lizziesmom....Cool, an unexpected trip to Disney!

Well hopefully, maybe... don't really know yet. I don't like that I have to depend on someone else to determine if we can go. I originally wanted to take a January trip with just Lyzzie, but then got the car & WDW was pushed out of the budget. Now my parents are encouraging me to go, so they can take their cruise at the same time. That's why they agreed to pay for Emma's airfare if Lyzzie's family will pay for hers. It would be as a Christmas gift.

well, it's officially the holiday season!!!
I have the tv on and this is the commercial that was just on..................

sing it with me now....

ch, ch, ch..........

I remember posting this last year. sad, but true.

some cute niece and nephew stories.....(can you tell I miss them terribly??:sad1: )

I was talking to my sister and she was saying that her turkey for Thanksgiving was a bit dry. I then hear my nephew in the background saying, "it tasted good with ranch". :lmao: Ahh, everything's better with a ranch dipper.:sad2: :lmao: What a gourmet.

Then she was telling me that they were playing "restaurant" and my niece was really putting on her acting skills. She said in her best :snooty: voice......."ah, yes, I will have a bowl of your most flavored cereal". My sister brings her cheerios and my niece said "I said MOST flavored, not LEAST flavored".

Nicole---how did your printer hold up??
hopefully you will hear about the CP soon.

Ash---practice, practice, practice with your new camera. I was caught several times with switching settings, etc. to get a better picture.
I forgot to tell you that I glanced at your GF photos----they are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

YM said:
Did you say poop?
nope, typed it.:dance3:

My parents are in Chesterfield.

Can't forget DiGregorio's market on the Hill.

I know, isn't the laundry thing crazy?? What is worse is that the new washer was put in during business hours. Try giving a facial during drilling and workman "talk".:sad2:

let us know what the dr. says about DS' ankle.

Donna---thanks for breakfast at CM!!!
We are trying to find a day to go to Our Lady of Snows. I think we may wait until my sister comes in for Christmas. Do you ever go???? For some reason it has become a tradition for us.
How is Nathan feeling??

Shannon----finally a hot shower for you!!! Congrats!!!

Lesa---no, it's not fair to Maddie!!:sad2: These systems and all of their hoops you have to jump through are ridiculous!!! Hopefully things will get straightened out soon!!!

hmm, who in the world am I thinking of then?? I've lost it.:headache:
no, no overtime (I am commission only)----no $$$$$ for our time, water, detergent, etc. It's part of being a "team player". whatever.

good morning Pozey!!! how are things going for you??

I must run and start getting ready for work.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!!

oh, I forgot to ask.......

are we doing the Christmas card/recipe exchange again this year???? I vote yes, but let me know.

later dude and dudettes.

Hope all is well with everyone today!!!

we have several people out today so it is busy busy!! It doesn't help that my mind is on our trip, not work:rolleyes1 :rotfl: but I guess that is pretty normal:laughing: I've tried posting a few times and darn thing won't cooperate! I'll try to catch up more later.

take care everybody:flower3:

Things sure have quieted down around here! The phone's still not working right so it's dead quiet (yay!), and it'll be shut down entirely at 4pm for the new system installation. Supposed to be up & running tomorrow morning, and I have no idea how to use the new system, haven't even seen the switchboard! Should be fun.

The shopping gods are smiling upon me today. I was on my way home for lunch when something told me to stop at WalMart and check their Nintendo DS prices. They are the same price as everywhere else, but wouldn't you know it there was ONE that had been previously returned and was selling for $30 less! I had the electronics manager open it up, make sure it has all the parts & works, and I bought it. Got her a game too, and all together it was still $10 less than the regular price of the system alone. It's even the pink color that Lyzzie wanted! Of course I've been spending the last 1/2 hour getting it all set up for her, programming her name into it and stuff, and I'm about to try out the game I bought her. Y'know, I have to make sure it's fun... I mean it works. Yeah, that's it. ;)

I am so mad right now! I am on hold once again with the insurance company while they call the peds office to tell them Madison is covered for the speech. The girl at the peds office keeps insisting that they will not give Madison a referral because they don't feel this will help her and they don't feel they will see progress within 90 days. How do they know that, until she does it. I don't get why they are being so difficult on getting a referral.:sad2:

Arrgh...I've been on hold for 20 minutes with our Peds office...I'm just trying to make an appt....what's up with that? Thank goodness for the computer to help fill the time.:rolleyes1

Lesa...that is so rediculous that they don't want to refer Maddie. You would think that it is personally coming out of their pockets. You are right...there is no way to know if they can help her until she is EVALUATED by a professional. Come on.....:headache:

EEK! What a day!

Just now getting a chance to pop in and see what's going on!

Thanks for a wonderful Chef Mickey's breakfast, Donna!! Strep ear?? Never heard of it, but the explanation about the strep virus being able to live in/on other parts of the body makes sense to me.

Ashley - a new camera?? How fun!! How's Miss Ruby doing today?

2X!! We are graced by your presence today! I'm very excited to see you again - we miss you!! We still don't have a lunch date picked... but I'll be sure to let you know! Can you stop by KS City on your way down here and pick up Lyzziesmom? It's just a little ways out of your way.

Lyzziesmom - OK, what is it with your parents?? I know I'm passing judgement sight-unseen, but it seems to me like with your brother and his issues that they could certainly lighten up on you just a little bit. I mean after all, when's the last time they found you passed out on the floor?! You're doing a great job as single mom bringing up those two girls and they can only belittle you?
Nice job on the Nintendo DS deal!

Hi, Linda!

OK, I started this post over an hour ago and with miscellaneous interruptions I'm just now attempting to finish? What a day!! I had to empty out three FULL four drawer lateral files because I had construction guys in my office building shelves; I lost a complete Excel spreadsheet that I had to completely rebuild. It apparently got deleted somehow...
I can't get a post done.
.....I should have stayed in bed.

Hey guys!!

Ruby is doing fine today. She doesn't seem to be acting any different so I guess thats good (although she is BAD when she wants to be....)

Anyways

YM...I was going to ask you, did you just call your Doc to get the phenegren prescription? I don't want to go for a visit just for that...but I'm actually hesistant to call her because the insurance is still giving her trouble  I don't want her to refuse to write prescriptions because they aren't paying her...I guess it depends on the Doctor. I wish there was something over the counter I could get that is just as effective! I'm not sure if my neuro will write a script for me for that, I can always call and ask but he charges for writing prescriptions over the phone....

(I'm rolling my eyes ALOT today!)

DznyFan, sorry your having a crappy day!!! ITA with your post about Lyzziesmom's parents....you summed it up perfectly!

Bye Linda. Be careful.

Have a great Thanksgiving if I don't "see" you before then.
thanks so much. sorry I didn't get a chance to get on here more...it did take 2 1/2hrs to get home!! I had to run in and grab our pies I ordered. I got home, and sure enough, one of them were wrong...I ordered dutch apple and a choc. cream....they gave me coconut cream instead and I ran down and got the right one! They were so delicious!!! Prices went to $8...but still very worth it! Hope you had a great day too...sure looked like it!
Linda, I hope you beat the traffic...Jeremiah is on his way home now and he said the traffic is horrible!

I don't really like Thanksgiving because its only Jeremiah & I and there is really no point in cooking alot and I miss having my family around!!...I am still going to make a ham steak and homemade macaroni and cheese, and pretzel salad for dessert.

Linda, Jeremiah & I want to get a new camera on black friday!!! We are excited....I think we may get a Canon S5 (its called something like that )
Hope it didn't take Jeremiah too long to get home Wed. We wouldn't have cooked a huge meal just for he and I either...but it was nice having my mom and her bf over. they stayed almost 4 hours...definitely a RECORD!!
That is great you got a new camera!!!

I feel like I should just make them there so I don't have to transport 2 pies, a cake, 2 dogs and overnight stuff for the dogs, me and Chris to my parents house.

Linda, does Kenny's dad have plans for Thanksgiving or is he going to disappear? Any chance you can call over there midday and find out what they are up to, and go get Kenny if you aren't happy with it? Have I told you I can't wait to meet that little guy
wow...sounds pretty busy for you! I'm not sure what Kenny did Thursday, they ate Thanksgiving dinner on SUNDAY:confused3 prob. b/c my exsil always went to her family on Thurs....so... I don't know what he did most of the weekend:guilty: I know I sure missed him!!!
The good thing is, he gets him this weekend and it is the last time before we leave for vacation, last week Thanksgiving and this weekend, they're celebrating Christmas for him. He'll love that! My mom left him a card. Kenny says..."it's probably $50, that's what she gave me last year..." he opens it.... $100...his jaw dropped... he was so excited and then he says...maybe next year there will be 3 $50's :lmao: KIDS!! then last night mom calls and we're talking and she tells me to ask Kenny if she can borrow $100 he just says "sure". too cute!

Linda...hope you didn't have to sit in traffic all afternoon. I was going to take DS for his allergy shots but it got so late I didn't want to mess with the traffic. I just went next door to get DS because he hurt his ankle. I think I just mentioned in a post earlier today about him rolling this ankle frequently. I had to give him a piggy-back ride home. Hopefully he will be able to put some weight on it after some ice.
yeah, it would have been much worse if I didn't leave early. Plus Kenny was being picked up at 6 and I did NOT want to miss him before he left!! Hope your DS's ankle is feeling better!!

I am so mad right now! The Drs office called and said they still won't write a referral.
can another Dr. do a referral? Sorry Lesa!! I know this has to be so frustrating!

I love ALL the "elfyourself" 's those are just awesome!

My DH loves them but never gets to eat them since I wont make them!
I don't like baked beans...so Mike gets them at KFC

A few HOURS? Man that must be a good job. I can't imagine a commute taking that much time out of my day.
I know...I think I've lost it sometimes:sad2:

we went to see Enchanted.
awesome! I can't wait to see it!! bummer at DMV!!

I'll post the recipe for the pretzel salad
that sounds delicious! I'll have to try that!

My Grandparents were chosen to (possibly) be on the show "Sell This House" on A&E.
omg that is so awesome! I hope they get on the show!!! good luck to them!

"excuse me?? Remember me!!!"
Mike would do that too:laughing:
awesome pic too!
Bree and her boyfriend and Zach and his girlfriend all went together to take her!
wow, that is cool they can do that. I love the last one w/Lilly smiling:cloud9:

So, I'm not cooking much this holiday - YAY! Going over to some friends' house for the holiday, and so I just picked up Cheesecake Factory pumpkin cheesecake at Sam's last night... after eating at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. DH leaves right after the meal to go hunting, and this is 'decorating' weekend for me.
that sounds like a great time! Mike did all the cooking. I love to, but he has to be "in charge" so I just let him do it:rolleyes1
Well.....there goes your homemade cheesecake......you are cheating on me with the Cheesecake Factory.
:lmao:
She seemed to be doing fine when we left and made her promise to get to bed and stay off the leg.
Donna!!! I hope your mom is doing ok! thanks for all the wonderful goodies, as usual!!
Well I wouldn't have to cheat on you if I'd get my cheesecake!
YEAH!!!:rotfl:
I know what I forgot....PECAN PIE!
I love pecan pie!!! I made pecan pie bars... thanks for that recipe again 2x ;)!!
We are getting up EARLY and going to Best Buy & Target tomorrow....Wish us luck I may just stay up because Jeremiah is talking about getting to Best Buy at 3:30 am and I KNOW I'll refuse to wake up that early in the morning (or is it late at night...?)

Someone help...my husband is alittle crazy!!!!
Oh I know what you mean... my sister camped ALL NIGHT!!! She got in line w/some friends (tradition, I guess:scared1: ) and were in line THURS. at 8pm at Circuit City!! She was like 30 people back!!! She did end up getting a 52" LCD flat panel for over 1k off...but still...no thanks! and her friend got a 50" plasma.... no way...I HATE to be cold! Just forget it!

Well, we are home with a fire going!
adorable pics!!! and a fire going....Now THAT is what I'm talking about :cloud9:

The caramel pie was to die for! I think next time I might use a shortbread crust tho. The graham cracker made it a little too sweet for me.
it does sound wonderful!!! I'll have to try it!

I turned around......he was massaging the bird!
:lmao: THAT is funny!!!

Hey!!! Don't you know you have to give us men SPECIFIC DETAILS????
that IS true!! sometimes:rotfl:
so here's some links instead. my psycho daughter.
those are AWESOME!!! totally in character!!

Good night Lesa!!! coughlightweightcough
:rotfl:

Day 2 Part 3
Holiday Wishes!!!Day 3 coming up!
omg Nicole...AWESOME!! I can't wait to hear more. I can't wait to see that parade too!!
"There's no parade tonight, the park is closing."
(a nearby woman screeching) "There's NO PARADE?! What the hell have we been waiting for all night?!"

I couldn't help but laugh.
omg...I would too!

Linda- I had a dream about you last night! I was at your house (even though I have no clue what your house looks like!) and met you, Mike, and Kenny! Too funny, huh!
 that is too funny! You're all welcome to our home anytime! You know what part of our house looks like:lmao: Mickey almost everywhere. My mom had to say that too...she went to the bathroom and came out laughing at me b/c the bathroom is Disney too...DUH!!

Here are a few of the photos:
those ARE the most awesome pics ever!! Hi Spencer!!! wow...that is too cool!

Merry Christmas to us
sorry you didn't get the chair, but I am sure Gary was happy about the new tv!!

I spent yesterday at the scrapbooking store.!
that is awesome. I would love that!!!

I survived working Black Friday!
yay!!! that is great to hear. I'm not sure I would have. I don't like huge crowds....yeah...and I'm going to wdw at Christmas...I know:laughing:
I trust TGM!

We got our tree and lights up yesterday.
we're skipping all the decorating at the house this year...we won't be here much anyway. whoo hoo!!! its getting CLOSE!!! I'm so excited!

I have three wooden cutouts that are Mickey, Bambi with Thumper and Flower. I really just want a small outdoor floodlight to highlight those; I think that would look pretty neat.
those sound so cute!!

Today is my mom's birthday.

Now that I think about it, a digital photo frame would probably be a good gift for her.
Happy belated Birthday to your mom! I think a digital photo frame would be great for her!

hi everyone~ whew! i had quite a few pages to read!

we got home around 2:30. I drove because DH had to work at 4. then I took a nap(not long enough!) our turkey was so good! we deep fried one too! my friend seasoned it with cajun spices. she injected cajun marinade too. then we ate outside by candlelight, and had a big bonfire after. it was great! yesterday our friends came over to our place and we watched the gator game and hung out. a great trip, too quick! enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
sounds like a great time!

Ruby ate a Christmas tree light tonight.
I hope Ruby is all better! Little turkey!

The book is complete
YAY! I bet is fantastic too!!! way to go Dznyfan!!

Well, I took Nathan to the Dr. today and found out has an ear infection similar to strep throat. I think he actually called it Strep ear.
Linda:: I saw where you were headed to the dr. I hope it's nothing serious.
Hope Nathan is feeling better...

just the female annual...bleh! but thanks! You guys are great. She wants to do an ultrasound b/c the pain and cyst problems...so we'll take care of that, and a colonoscopy b/c my mom had cancer at 40... quadruple BLEH!!! guess you'll have that.

I'm doing really well, thanks. I have been getting really tired lately, but I think it's just some adjustments in meds. Nothing to be concerned about, though. I can't complain-----there are people who have it so much worse, so I am thankful
Hey there stranger!!! sorry I've missed ya lately.

Linda...How are you doing today?
I'm alright, thanks for asking. How are you? Just busy at work and trying to get things straight w/my dr's...I know you're VERY familiar in that dept.

He said, "You are the smartest person I've ever met. Why are you such an idiot?" Thanks Dad.
D'oh!!!yeah...thanks dad! I sure hope you get to go to wdw!
"it tasted good with ranch".

My sister brings her cheerios and my niece said "I said MOST flavored, not LEAST flavored".
ranch and not LEAST flavored:rotfl: they're too cute!!!
sorry things are crazy w/work...and laundry..yuck..yeah team player and all but geesh, they don't want much do they...sorry!

Hi, Linda!

.....I should have stayed in bed.
Hey there DznyFan! Yeah..I know that feeling too... I'd rather stay in bed everyday..at least a little longer ;)

Oh, sorry you are missing the kiddos...I'm sure that's tough. Very funny about the "ranch" and the "cheerios"...aren't they funny little creatures. Ok, Chesterfield...I wonder how long it will take me to forget that?;) Oh man...I love it when the people next door to "my" facial lady start banging on the walls. Very relaxing. I'm sorry Pin-cess...you typed POOP!:rotfl2:

Hope all is well with everyone today!!!

DznyFan, sorry your having a crappy day!!! ITA with your post about Lyzziesmom's parents....you summed it up perfectly!

Hey Ashley...roll your eyes all you want girlfriend! I'm glad Ruby is acting fine...healthwise that is.:rolleyes1

One thing to keep in mind about the phenergan gel is that you won't need much of it. Also, if your primary care will call it in you will be responsible for the cost. I know we got ours from Walgreen but I don't know how much it cost? If you want to just try over the counter meds I really prefer the original dramamine over the non-drowsy formula. The generic active ingredient is dimendydrinate, 50mg in each pill. The adult dose is one to two tablets every 4-6 hours. During the day so you won't get too sleepy I would do one every four hours. If you still are feeling a little motion sickness you could try two at night...they will make you sleepy. They work very well for me and for DS...he can actually take one whole tablet now. You can try them out at home and see how you react. They are actually a form of benadryl and since I take it at night ( too often:rolleyes1 ) I can actually take two during the day and function ok as long as I have eaten a good meal before I take them. Good luck...when do you leave?

shewwwww I think I caught up...finally! Sorry if I missed too much!

Girl...you are too good! Glad you enjoyed your pie...I think I would have kept the coconut!

Oh man...I couldn't get my DS an appointment for his ankle with HIS Dr for two weeks. I went ahead and made one since we have a trip coming up. I was like..ok...especially after waiting on the phone for 30 mintues. They have 4 other Dr.'s but since my son has had joint issues I wanted his Dr to see him. He did fine at basketball practice tonight but he will just be walking to the car and roll it and then scream. Well..I guess I said all that to say I won't have an update for another two week.

Lesa...did you get your referral?

Michele...how's school this week.

lyzziesmom...sorry about you dad's comments.

Hey DznyFan, Pozey, Amber, and Nicole!:wave2:

Geez...I hate the smile limit.:snooty:

Hi Linda and Lesa!

Linda - I'm impressed with your 'catching up' - that was one intensely long post! You catch up a whole lot better than I do...... (guilty...)

I'm finally getting a list from the DD for what she wants for Christmas/birthday!! Plus - our Disney employee diving friend in Orlando offered to pick up anything I might need at WDW for her. Now if I can only remember what she liked there...?

Goodness, YM - how frustrating that is for you and your DS's doctor. 2 weeks?? At least you were able to get in before the trip - especially since he's still having trouble with it. Poor kid!

You know...I really think that is a bunch of hooey...a hurt ankle is like a sick visit...would they make him wait two weeks for an earache?:headache:

ITA with your post about Lyzziesmom's parents....you summed it up perfectly!

Yes she did! I had a whole post typed up about it, but then my boss came over and brought the phone guy to train me on the new system, and I forgot to hit "submit" and now I have no idea what I said because it was 6 hours ago!

Linda: Wow Kenny got $100 from his grandma for Xmas? Lucky boy! My grandma still gives me $10, $5 for my birthday. Actually on Xmas she sends $30 for me and the girls but she still sends it to my mom - and she's the one always telling my mom she needs to let me grow up! Oh I'm sorry that you don't know what Kenny did for Thanksgiving. I hate not knowing what my kids are doing, I feel like I should know everything they do all the time! It was very hard for me when Lyzzie started daycare, because suddenly she was gone all day and I had no idea what she was doing or learning. Wow your trip is coming up really soon!

Lyzzie is coming down with a cold, at dinner tonight she even said she was going to stop talking because it hurts her throat too much. That lasted about 40 seconds!

I tricked Lyzzie a good one -- I told her that my coworker/friend wants to buy a DS game for her 9-year-old niece but doesn't have a clue what game she might like, so I offered to let Lyzzie pick something out. Lyzzie was thrilled and insisted that we go shopping right away! I let her pick out two games, one for the "niece" and it came with a coupon for another game so she picked out one for a "needy child." She has NO idea they are really for HER! She was very excited and kept sighing and saying, "I really wish I had a DS, if I had one I would LOVE these games, they look SO cool. Those are such lucky kids that are getting these. I'm so glad I got to pick them out because I am an EXPERT on what girls my age like!" I can hear her sniffling in her room, and I'm waiting for her to go to sleep so I can "test" these games too! :thumbsup2 (thumb) I know my parents used to play with my Xmas presents before giving them to me, now it's my turn.

Good morning, Crew!

Well,Nathan had a ballgame last night, but didn't play. Gary wanted him to suit up and sit with the team, but I was afraid that he would be too tempted to want to play. He did sit with them, but with his street clothes on.
Nathan did say that since he had a chance to just sit and watch the team play, he noticed all the things they were doing wrong.:rolleyes1
His ear is much better and he made it through school just fine yesterday. He ran at recess and he said that bothered his ear. (Which is why I decided he shouldn't play last night.)
Nathan did come home pretty grumpy because he had a lot of make-up work to do.:teacher:

My mother's leg is doing much better; she was limping on it a bit on Monday. Now she is coming down with a cold...I worry so much about her. We can't seem to keep her down to rest for very long. I keep thinking I need to glue her butt to a chair, but I get a mental image of my 78 year-old mom walking around with a chair stuck on her bottom.

How about some Eggs Benedict from the Yacht Club Gallery?

I hope you all have a Walt Disney World Wednesday!princess: pirate::santa:

Good Morning Everyone!

Donna, breakfast looks so yummy! I hope Nathan is feeling better soon. Glad to hear your mom's leg is getting better, but sorry about the cold. My grandmother is just like your mom; she refuses to sit still. She retired several years ago, but still insists on working (there's no need for her to work either, she has money, plus she lives with my mom). She says she's going to stop working after the holidays and is planning on watching the baby.

Lyzziesmom, you are so sneaky! Lyzzie is going to be so happy Christmas morning.
Any word on the trip yet?

Linda, wow $100 for Kenny! At least he was willing to lend it. My little brother refuses to let anyone even see his money. He locks it up and then asks other people to buy him stuff.

Lesa, were you able to straighten things out with the referral?

I am ready to scream at Mike's company. They are so stupid. Yesterday, his boss accused him of sitting at home. I sent an email for Mike and so his boss called asking why Mike was at home. Mike had no idea what the guy was talking about. I have been sending emails for MONTHS and no one has said anything about it. All of a sudden, they think Mike's just sitting at home (mind you, Mike hasn't taken a sick day in over 5 years). What's funny is that they didn't think that he could possibly be sending the email from his phone (like they themselves do). It sucks because no place is realy hiring now, so he just has to deal with it.

On a good note, I am loving all the Rainforest baby stuff I am finding. The only thing is that I already decided on Disney/Star theme, so I can't get the bedding. I do think I will be getting some accessories though. The Rainforest stuff reminds me of Rainforest Cafe and that's kinda Disney, right? It could also be AK related.

Have a great day everyone!!

Well my January trip is a no-go. Lyzzie's grandma emailed me last night on my work email, so I didn't see it until this morning. And get this -- the reason they said no? Because Grandpa has developed a touch of arthritis in his hip "so walking in Disneyworld is out of the question in his condition." Hello?? I've had what made my doctor exclaim "Holy crap! That's a LOT of arthritis" in my back for 4 years!! It seems like a bogus excuse to me - there was a bunch of other stuff said too that makes it sound fishy. I don't understand why they are always trying to guilt trip me about not seeing Lyzzie, and then it's one excuse after another as to why they can't make it.

I'm so angry and disappointed right now. I guess in a way it's a good thing, because vacationing with the ex and his family is, shall we say... a teeny bit stressful? But dang, I REALLY wanted to go. Maybe I'll have to do some creative budgeting.

Ugh - the new phone system is in but it's all messed up. Nobody's voicemail is active, nobody knows what to do because training isn't until this afternoon. Someone just had to ask me how to place an outgoing call. I knew I should have been sick today... I think I feel a headache coming on. ;)

Hi Donna! I hope Nathan feels better, those ear infections can be so hard on everyone. I have no idea what your mom looks like but I'm picturing an older version of you walking around stuck to a chair and I'm sorry but it's cheering me up immensely!
