I love shopping for other people! I've never done a secret Santa or any kind of online exchange though, I have no idea how that would work. And we would have to have a reasonable budget limit, it's going to be a very lean Christmas in the Lyzziesmom household this year. But it does sound like fun!

Linda: We lived in TX for a couple of years and at the end of our street was a park full of pecan trees. My mom would send us kids to go collect pecans and I swear we had pecans for YEARS! We don't even like them that much!! Sounds like you had an interesting night, but not too restful. I woke up at 4am thinking it was morning. Then when it really WAS morning, I overslept!

I'm betting the new changes won't last a year (hopefully!) because there's bound to be a backlash.

This is going to be a very different Christmas for sure!!! I think it will be great! I told Mike we should make it a new tradition and do it every year! He sounded agreeable, but we'll see how this year goes first
I love pecans but like everything else, if they're "right there" and always easily accessable, you get burnt out on them!! I woke up at 4 today too but didn't get back to sleep. I'm sure I'll be in bed early tonight!!
I hope it doesn't last a year! I don't want to pay 18% tip for every soda and every popcorn I want to buy! Geesh!!! If that is the way...I'll be backing a lot more stuff in my bag!!!

I don' remember our exact dates, but that was the year we stayed at The Polynesian for 8 nights, and then went over and stayed at the Hard Rock for 3 nights.

Yeah, it was a FANTASTIC trip. Except that was the trip where I forgot an entire suitcase at home......the one that had ALL of Courtney's clothes.

But it ended with a bang!! We had an H2 Hummer Limo take us back to the airport!! The kids LOVED that!!!

Hi everyone!!

My doctors appointment went ok. I got some new prescriptions and blood work done, and I am now off the Topamax. I'm happy because 1- it made me feel like crap and 2-it wasn't working anyways. Here's hoping we've found a solution! Honestly I've felt better lately, (regarding the headaches)except feeling alittle back/kidney pain The blood work should show if there is a problem though! I think it was a result of the medicine I was on. I am happy with my doctor, and Jeremiah is too. Now the insurance- thats a whole nother story

We did go to IHOP for breakfast! I got a bacon and cheddar omelette with 2 pancakes- great for my cholesterol, I'm sure Dropped off my new prescriptions and now we're waiting for the cable/internet guy to come- I have NO trouble using internet during the day but at night it ALWAYS konks out! Drives me nuts.

Anybody have a good lasagne recipe? Since I've been making spaghetti sauce every week I figured I could branch out and make some other dishes with it besides just having noodles!! I don't like lasagne recipes that require cottage cheese though
