Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

The dog being allergic to people reminds of the Brady Bunch episode where they thought someone was allergic to the dog, but it turned out to be the shampoo. Only this is in reverse - how unfortunate!

I had an american eskimo too...she was a little tyrant, ruled the house, she was my baby - spoiled rotten LOL. Stupid ex left her out to go to BR when I was working...too lazy to take her out on a lease; she got hit, vet tried to save her but, she was injured too severely. that was the beginning of the end for that marriage...don't think it was poor judgement but, bad charactar. Must say I like my animals better than alot of people.

My husky I had when I was a kid was shot by my neighbor! :furious: He said she barked too much. We took her to the vet and she had a bullet in her hip. We kept her for a little while after that but she had seizures and couldn't squat, I remember holding her as she was having one of her seizures. We ended up putting her to sleep. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

Dznyfan- I didn't know dogs were allergic to humans! That's so weird!

I'm a clique of one. maybe tis will become a clique thread! WOW!

:grouphug: awww... that is ridiculous!! sniff sniff!! that is so sad! what a jerk. I have to admit my uncle shot his bil's pit bull. It attacked me when I was maybe 10... I was just walking up to his door and they lived next door....it ran over to his house and knocked me down and attacked me!!!! He shot it. the bil went out and got another one.

ntsammy5 welcome :)

It's weird to the point of almost being amusing - if it weren't for the vet bills for treating his ears! But yes, - he's allergic to "human dander". His cat allergy is a little bit higher on the scale than his human allergy - but if he stays in the house, those ears just flare up! (And he DOES stay in the house!)

That is awful!

But it sort of reminds me of how we came to have the dog we currently have. (uh oh....here comes another LONG story from pozey.....)

I had a dog that was really old......she was close to 16 years old. She was half lab/half pit bull. But she was my baby. Well, just a couple of weeks before we were going to Disney World on vacation in 2005, we decided we just had to go ahead and put her down. She could no longer hear, she had trouble walking, and her eyesight was going bad. So, we had to do it...

Anyway, about a week before going on vacation, a co-worker said she had a friend who had a 5 year old lab that she was going to have to give away. The reason was that one of their neighbors had threatened to shoot it when it was outside. The friend of the co-worker lived in a neighborhood with no fences and the dog would roam the yards.

So, we went to visit. She was a wonderful dog. Very well mannered and good with the kids. So, we took her. Took her to the vet for her shots and found out she had heartworms. So, we had to have her treated for heartworms.

Okay........fast forward.......Rosie (no we didn't name her......Rosie Pozey..... :rotfl2: ) is now a bonafied member of the household.

Speaking of baseball.......we were out in the yard playing yesterday and DS(7) (who is a VERY good baseball player) was practicing hitting. Well, DD(3) just HAD to get in on the action. So, she asked if she could have a turn.....And boy can she swing a bat!!! She has SKILLS!! I've played baseball since I could walk, and I went to college on a baseball scholarship.....and I am telling you.....she is going to be GOOD!! She can hit off a tee at 3 years old as good as some of the kids I watched playing Tee Ball can. I'm thinking......First female Professional Baseball Player!!!
That is so cute!! What a doll!

Amen, Sister!! I wish someone would have stopped me from dating until I was 30!! :rotfl: Don't get me wrong. I've got the bestest husband in the world a girl could have but oooooohhhhhhh, the losers that preceeded him!! :sad2: I could have been through school without being sidetracked and I could have been spared much headache if only. . . .

Good news! I can't remember if I mentioned that I've been trying to get Emma's last name changed... it's a problem because I can't get her dad's signature because he's gone AWOL on us. (Good riddance!) Well my attorney emailed me the petition today, I go in to sign on Wednesday and she will present it to the judge on Thursday. Basically due to my unique situation with the annulment and the fraud & all that, there is no precedent. They are usually reluctant to change a child's name without the consent of BOTH parents. But I'm told I have a solid case and the whole law firm has been helping research because they find this fascinating. Anyway, long story short... within a matter of months it should all be done. Yay! It's funny because Emma's current last name is an ethnic name and whenever I take her anywhere, to the Dr. etc, we get the Spanish-speaking nurse. Then they take one look at us and go, "Oh." I'm just so happy to be on the path to ridding ourselves of the constant reminder of you-know-who.

It's kind of sad, but I was thinking the other day about how, because the bad situation I had with Emma's father, it took me a long time before I could really see her for who she is and not where she came from. She looked a lot like him as an infant, not so much anymore. It's better now because I don't even see him in her at all, I just see my sweet little squeaky wheel.

Sorry for the downer there, the DIS can be great therapy sometimes to just VENT... pay no attention to the lady with all the mood swings!
Prayers, Pixie Dust and Good Luck w/ your case!! I hope it all works out for you gals!

And I understand all too well about the DIS being great therapy. Just check out my tag! :teeth:

Yesterday, I was telling a coworker that I wanted to go straight to WDW, but didn't want to say anything to DH (he doesn't see his family often).
Later, DH and I were walking into the house and he asked if it was wrong that he didn't want to stay at his parents house. I started laughing; I couldn't believe that we both had the same thought. So, we will be going straight to POP!!!
Amber, don't you love it when that happens and you and your DH just have those moments when you're perfectly insinc? They are just the best. I don't know about you but I always get all warm and fuzzy when that happens. And hey, another POPer!! I love POP!

:welcome:

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your other posting experience! That's terrible. Actually, that's kind of how this thread got started. Because someone got mistreated on a clique thread and then there was an outcry of how it's not Disney like on a Disney board (which it certainly wasn't!) and so *Fantasia* asked who was not a member of a clique and here we are. OK, so now we are officially a clique but I like to think we're a nice welcoming bunch of people! Anyway, welcome, welcome, welcome. I look forward to reading more of your posts.

April, I'm so happy for you. :cheer2: I have such a fear that I am going to book something wrong.

I just got an email from my AAA TA and it was a little rude (at least I thought; maybe I'm just sensitive today??)

This is the first time using a TA and until now I haven't had any issues. I have changed my reservations a few times (we keep adding days). Well, I emailed her to add Thanksgiving day (she can only be reached via email) and I get a response back stating that "If you think there is any possibility that you might change your itinerary again please consider waiting to request any changes until your plans are firm."

It's not like I have changed 100 times, it's only been four (including this change). One of the changes was due to her giving me the wrong information, so I am responsible for 3 changes. I booked this trip in Jan. so I didn't think that in 8 months three changes were bad. Is it??? I hate bothering people and would book the trip myself, but I can't get the AAA discount if I do.

Am I just being sensitive today??
Thank you.
And, oh my goodness!! No, you are not being too sensitive! That is her J-O-B!! She needs to make you a happy customer so that you will come back. Oh, the downward spiral of good customer service. Gone I tell ya'! Oh, and 3 changes in 8 months is pretty darn good! Don't let old sour puss get you down!

April...Your story was hysterical. I am so glad that you were able to get it all worked out and keep your Ding! fare. That's great. I agree that making her laugh probably helped make her want to help you. I know that sick feeling that comes from a big screw up A couple of years ago we were at Disney and staying, as usual, at OKW. The night before I had put a load in the washer and dryer. Got up that morning, happy as a clam, and got the clothes out of the dryer. I felt a lump in my shorts pocket as I am folding and my heart sinks. Yep, 5 passes. This was when we could get 30 day passes from some company, don't remember, but it was a great deal. Well not if you have to replace them. Luckily when the company shipped the tickets they included copies of the backs. I was able to take them to GS at AK and they replaced them all Walking up to the window my knees were so weak from sick and fear I didn't think I was going to make it.
Thank you. Oh, I can totally understand the weak knees walking to that window from sick and fear. I'm so glad it all worked out though. You poor girl having to go through that. :sad2:

It was checked numerous times by our mechanic who says that there is nothing wrong but it won't go out. So...I covered it with a piece of black electrical tape. I got tired of seeing it.
:lmao:

Ok chick-a-dees and dude I've got to run. I'll pick up on page 132 post #1966 when I get back.

April and Amber, I'm another POPer too! Stayed there last trip and Lyzzie wanted to try ASMu this time, but they were sold out for free dining so we are doing POP again because we loved it so much!

I am so excited to see POP. I have only stayed at ASMo. I liked it, but I wanted to try another resort (plus, POP has frozen coke! I just hope the machine works, I read that it is usually down).

I would love to go for free dining, but we hate the heat. We went in June a couple years ago and I thought I was going to melt. pixiedust: to all you going for great weather.

I am in desperate need of parents who have "been there done that". My son Ben (check out my ticker and you'll see how old) continues to refuse to go #2 in the potty. He has done it before, once a few weeks ago all on his own without telling me but those times are very (let's say 5 times since he turned 3). I am about to lose my mind :crazy2: I have tried treats, bribes, charts, not getting mad, getting mad and still nothing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am tired of thinking about poop all the time! :rotfl:

Amber you will love POP  ...we stayed there the first time in April for our honeymoon. It was great. We didn't use the busses or anything... have to have my own car! Control issues I guess;) but it is great. The food court is really nice!

Angela...wow..I feel sorry for you. I told Mike about that and his reply was if you rub his nose in it he won't do it anymore :sad2: ..guys can be so rotten!! I always told Kenny that if he went...he had to clean it up himself. Guess what..it's a lot easier to clean up if they use the potty so he decided that was best :thumbsup2 Good luck!!! It can be sooo frustrating to say the least! His pediatrician suggested sticker charts...but  that stuff doesn't always work either!!

Well Kenny is officially picked up and gone until the 18th at 3pm :sad1: :worried:  we're trying to think of things to keep us busy b/c this will be hard for sure!! I've never gone more than 3 nights w/o him!!!

Have a great evening...it's time to relax in a nice bath!!

Hi Pozey,Lyzziesmom,Angela,April,Ashley,Amber,Donna,Michele,Dznyfan,2x2s,YM,Nicole.... and everyone else I forgot!

Hi all I hope it is not too late to join in your "clique", or in other words will be my friend :teeth:

mommyintn- your story is not so rare and unfortunately as you know Ben has pretty much all of the control in the situation. The best thing would be to stick to a method and try not to bounce around to much so he can know what to expect. MAybe someone else will have something to add. You are probably doing everything right here is some pd :wizard:

Linda, :grouphug: Kenny will be back before you know it! We also drive ourselves. Mike is VERY impatient and he would have a fit if the bus took longer than 5 minutes. Are the parking lots really that far? I read that they are far and not easy to get to. I don't mind walking, I would just like to know what to expect.

Thanks for the suggestion Pixie, you're right about being consistant and sticking to one method. I just get so frustrated when I do whatever method and he comes and says "I went poopoo can you wipe my butt?", I guess it's important to remain calm. I just keep thinking "Dear God make me a bird, so I can fly far, far far away." (Forest Gump movie)
I always told Kenny that if he went...he had to clean it up himself. Guess what..it's a lot easier to clean up if they use the potty so he decided that was best
I've done that and ended up with a clogged up toilet..imagine toilet paper piled so high you see it above the rim, I guess supervision is the key here!! Thanks Linda

Oh, Linda... :grouphug: hang in there! Have a date night or two - not that it will make you worry any less, pace any slower, or make your time go any faster - but at least it's a diverson!

mommyintn mine's been out of diapers so long that I can't remember how to fasten a diaper! j/k, but she was a challenge in the same department. (she'd kill me if she knew I just divulged that info...) I recall being very frustrated, but after a while, it just 'happened'. patience, I guess, and consistency, is the key.

Evenin' to all my cliqueless amigos!
