Me! - Seriously, right now, I am bright and colorful

There's a company I've started using for a lot of walking/gym gear and they have some really fun patterns. The shorts and sport top I'm wearing are in their Cosmic Dragon print. As I noted on the Walking thread, DD17 said I looked more like a parrotfish. Specifically, a Princess Parrotfish. Today, I combined the two pieces with an aqua tank, pink-purple-aqua socks, and royal blue sneakers. I plan to race in it next month and will probably opt for a bright pink tank and my light blue and pink sneakers.
Noxgear Tracer Vest - At least 5 days a week, I am out in the dark for my walks (I usually go after sunrise on weekends). Reflective material is great and all, but lighting is even better. In 2019, I invested in one of these light up vests so that I'm far more visible in the dark. It basically looks like I'm wearing bands of neon lights. It shifts between a variety of colors and has several different lightshows where it flashes and shifts to add extra attention to alert those around me that I'm not some stationary object. It also does have a bright yellow reflective band across the midsection. Mine is a bit large on me, so I have to crisscross the top straps which adds a different visual...that I think makes it more prominent since it makes a big X.
Dream Sneakers - I don't need them. I REALLY don't need them...BUT, Asics recently introduced a pair that I feel like I must have. They remind me of those old Rainbow Brite dolls. I almost feel like it's a sign. For starters, while my feet seem to prefer Brooks Glycerins they are not perfect, and there have been certain Asics models that I've been able to wear for distance work in the past. Asics is also soooooo much better at designing fun shoes. I know the run community would say to go get refitted and see what they think but I know there is absolutely no way any run shop is going to recommend these for me. It's not that they're wrong for me, per se. It's that they probably think it's more shoe than I need. Most of the major sneaker brands have a flagship racing shoe that's intended more for serious competitive to elite marathoners. This is the Asics version of that. It's a neutral shoe with lots of cushioning and responsiveness. So, it checks the boxes of what is usually considered when fitting me and could help me push past some of the speed goals I've set. I'm tempted to buy them, test them around the house and if they feel good, break them out over the summer when I start marathon training...since I'm currently rotating between FIVE pairs of Glycerins...including the new ones. Truth be told, the new and the old have not been perfect for me and maybe this is my sign to move on. I can at least test these Asics against the new Glycerins and see what's the better shoe moving forward. Still...they are sooooo colorful and pretty! I guess I could also go to the run shop and just ask to try them on...but that's not a short drive. Decisions!
