Congrats to Ashley for 800 posts. :thumbsup2
And...
Cute kid stories this morning!! Don't you just love it when they do things like that? My DD(3) said something funny the other day. I have called her "Monkey" ever since she was born. And I am the ONLY person that is allowed to call her "Monkey".

Well the other day she came up to me and said "Daddy." And I turned to her and said "What baby?" And she looked at me and said "I am not 'Baby', I am 'MONKEY'!" Too funny.
TOO cute!

I came out to my car and there was a note hanging from my window...I thought maybe Mike snuck out and put it there ... but it was just a note from a customer that dropped off some equipment and telling me it was on my front porch...DARN IT!!
:sad2: what a disappointment.

Hey everyone, Good Morning!!!

:sunny: <------ I need this, it is sooo dreary out today!!!! But it sure is nice nap weather! :) Plus it'll cool things down for my poor plants, they have been doing horrible lately. I am the official plant killer...I think I get that from my mother.

I woke up today and Ruby had a strange cut on her head. It's very weird. I have no idea how she got it? The cats sometimes get her and scratch her but when I went to bed she didn't have it, and she woke up with me.?

Have you guys heard about the terror plot uncovered in the UK? Pretty scary. They said on CNN that there is going to be extra, extra security on flights from the UK to the United States now. When I flew last Wednesday from Dulles to Ft.Lauderdale, I was very disappointed with the security. Normally, the security lines are horrible at Dulles because its so close to the capital. I expect it, kind of dread it, but appreciate that its there. We normally have to get to the airport about 3 hours before the flight because of it. Well Wednesday the security people weren't doing a good job at all. They weren't checking ID's at all. I breezed right through. Now I wonder if I should call the TSA or something. They didn't even check my boarding pass to see if I was 'randomly selected' for extra screening. :confused3

Donna- Those donuts look sooooo good!!!!!!

Linda, Lyzziesmom,Pozey and DznyFan, you guys have such sweet kids!!

Hey Nicole, Amber, April, 2xcited (good luck with the doctors appointment), Angela, .........and everyone!!!

Ashley, :grouphug: to Ruby. Leary once woke up with the skin on the top of his head missing (it was a perfect circle). We have no idea how it happened, but he is VERY accident prone.

I've been reading all morning about the terrorists. It is so scary. I haven't flown out of Dulles in three years, but I can't believe they didn't even check your ID! I am usually throughly searched, but DH just breezes by. I hate flying and I feel so bad for everyone that will be flying in the upcoming days.

Amber: DH and I both are usually throughly searched. Thats why I was surprised in the first placethat I didn't get that code on my boarding pass, but they didn't even check!! :confused3 The only person who did is the woman who checked my bag and gave me a boarding pass. I could have easily given that pass to somebody else! That is what is so scary. And they never check it at the gate when you get on the plane, they figure security checks it enough. It is concerning.

Ashley- :grouphug: for Ruby. I wonder how she got it? I can't believe they didn't even screen you!

DBF will be flying in about 2 weeks. I wonder how things will be then. I am kind of scared now.

Ashley and Amber- Now you are making me want a pug!!! Normally I'm not a pug kind of person, I am more of a Siberian Husky person. pluto:

I love Huskies.....
I also love Boxers....
And Labs.....

We are thinking about getting another dog. I want a dog that is just like my former neighbor's dog. He was a beautiful yellow Lab. Had the best personality. He was a wonderful dog.

I have also always wanted a Husky. However, the summer heat here might be too hot for a Husky.

Thanks for the pixiedust: Pozey

Your right about the heat. I had 2 huskies growing up as a kid and they were always so hot! I would love another one but I would feel sooo guilty about having them here in the hot Houston heat. I found out through the SPCA that we have a Husky Haven shelter down here. I was surprised because of the heat we have down here.

Hate to hop onto anti-clique thread;) but, FYI huskies, keeshonds, schipperkes, all spitzes in general have a double coat that actually helps to keep them cool in the summer...you should never attempt to give them a buzz cut.

I've bred Keeshonds in the past, as long as they're provided shade & water, they do fine in the heat. Had a husky many years ago, extreme temps. didn't seem to bother her one way or the other. Of course, when it's above 90, I'd never let any animal outside in the heat of the day.

I never knew that! We never did try to shave them though. Thanks for the info! Now I feel a little less guilty!

Hop in anytime keishashadow! :wave2: we're a very friendly bunch. You're right I've had a keeshond and a spitz..aka american eskimo... they're both so adorable!!! my american eskimo had the sweetest personality every!!! She was only about 20# but spoiled so bad ... she was such a cutie!!

pozey...good luck w/your dog search... some are so sweet

Oh my goodness, I was just reading about the attack plot and all the restrictions. That's great that the caught these *#^%*#'s but it's scary that they don't know if they got them all. I doubt that my flights would be affected to/from Kansas City but you never know. I am returning on Sept. 10th so I doubt that everything will have "blown over" by then. I will have to seriously rethink my packing strategy and trust ME to get our checked bags to our rooms in a reasonable amount of time.

On a lighter note, I went into the lunchroom at work today and there was a box of Krispy Kremes on a table, ripe for the taking! So I of course helped myself to a delicious glazed treat.... ok so it was two. Yum, how timely!!

Michele, good luck on your upcoming traveling. Don't forget to leave early for the airport, it looks like they are a mess while people get the new rules figured out.

Back to work now, it's a busy day.

Nicole, pugs are the greatest dogs. They have so much personality; I swear Leary is a person. He doesn't handle heat well though, so he spends most of the summers in the house.

I do like bigger dogs too (my boxer is 75lbs of pure muscle), but he is a big baby. Cyprus and Leary are the best of friends (when we first got Leary he would climb INTO Cyprus' mouth! Cyprus is such a sweetie and very protective of Leary).

:sunny: Good Morning!! Well, Good Afternoon!!

I can't get moving today. I have so much to do and I didn't even get in the shower until noon :confused3 Can you say L-A-Z-Y?

It is a weird day here. Briana has cheered for years and was going thru cheerleading withdrawls :rolleyes1 Well, she got asked to help coach one of the city league teams :cheer2: Problem is the head coach is Blake's sister and her daughter is on the team (Lesa you will appreciate this ;) ) Karly, DH's neice, will not listen to anything Bree tries to tell her. Just point blank refuses to do things she doesn't want to. Such an adorable child, said with major sarcasm.

6 days!!!! til CSR!!!! I can't wait!! :cloud9:

Pozey...your wife is very lucky!!! So if your tattoos aren't on your left arm, just where are they? :rolleyes1

I need donuts!!! All I have snacked on the last few days is carrots. I am going to start turning orange soon.

Oh, you guys will love this. I get so into books that the line between reality and  gets a little blurred  I was reading Ms Plum the other night and had to run out for something. My heart was racing when I got in the car...I was convinced someone was following me :rotfl2: Maybe I better stop reading for a while

I had to laugh when I was reading about bad memories. I have decided that everything in my life happened either last week or 20 years ago. Can't get any more specific than that. Had the bathliner guy out a fwe weeks ago. He asked me when we had had the tub reglazed. My answer...last week or 20 years ago, take your pick! He looked at me like I was nuts! :rolleyes1

Welcome Luvdzne!!! or Lesa or Gracie or what ever else you are calling yourself :confused3 In the interest of full disclosure it must be told...
Lesa is my Sister-in-Law! When I was in Illinois I was there for my sister's son's birthday and to see Lesa!!( and my brother and their girls) She was the one who kept me sane :cheer2:

I had an american eskimo too...she was a little tyrant, ruled the house, she was my baby - spoiled rotten LOL. Stupid ex left her out to go to BR when I was working...too lazy to take her out on a lease; she got hit, vet tried to save her but, she was injured too severely. that was the beginning of the end for that marriage...don't think it was poor judgement but, bad charactar. Must say I like my animals better than alot of people.

Every pic I have of my Husky, my camera caught her baby blues as an eerie pink/glowing color...she looked quite like a wolf.

I think pugs are absolutely adorable, such a cute face. Are they prone to breathing issues?

Thanks Nicole... He's my baby

Gracie...your dog is so adorable...love the pix

Thanks Linda, they have their moments! For everyone traveling by plane there is a new travel advisory, you can acess it on the top of the boards or go directly to http://www.tsa.gov/press/happenings/threat-change-passenger_guidance.shtm . Just when you start to get a bit more comfortable about air travel something happens. :guilty: Hope everyone is doing good today, my Dh went to the Dr. a few hours ago and has a kidney stone (he has them a lot). When it rains it pours at our house! :rotfl:

:welcome: keishashadow!
how sad about your American Eskimo. Its so frustrating when people don't take proper precautions with their animals. (NOT meaning you - your BF)

Yes, it's because of their "pushed in" faces. Some need surgery to open their airways.

Mine has a hard time breathing in hot weather and if he gets stressed or overly excited he starts to hyperventilate.

My mom owns his sister and she doesn't have the same issues.

the wrinkle dogs have breathing problems too... sharpea(sp?)

lyzziesmom...Emmas conversation was so cute :cloud9:

keishashadow...my american eskimo got hit too :guilty: Kenny was only 2 and I was at work. My mom was watching him...but he opened the screen door by himself thinking he was doing her a favor to let her go potty;)... she ran in the street:(!!! I rushed home from work..an hour and a 1/2!!! She stayed overnight and only needed a few teeth pulled. She was so lucky!!!

Wow DznyFan...I've never heard of a dog being allergic to humans!! Poor thing.. They're such good dogs
