Afternoon everyone!

Pozey- I love the pictures and trip report. You have such a beautiful family! Sorry about the bad service at the Mexican restaurant.

Lyzziesmom, sorry about Emma's bad experience. :sad1:

Nicole-yay! about Christmas party tickets! (I'm blanking on the abbreviations again!!!) Is there a mini-meet getting planned?? Who is going??

Amber, I hope everything goes ok with your Mom.

I noticed that too, I guess it makes sense that all the biggest threads would be clique threads though. You're not going to get 10,000 posts talking about the bus system or something!

Hey, I just noticed that we got the flash flood warning here too. Weird, because it doesn't even look like rain - nice blue cloudless skies, no rain predicted until tomorrow and even then only scattered t-storms.

Hey, #10!! :woohoo:

Pozey, the trip report is fabulous! Sorry your meal was such a bad experience - but the town and the drive look beautiful. Really loving the pics.

Lyzziesmom- maybe the rain is on it's way...

pozey, lovin' the report. Sorry you had such a bad meal. I would have been livid. Usually Mike lets things go (doesn;t want to bother) but if it's something really bad, I say something. At least you got to see a beautiful town.

Ashley, how you feeling??

/
Amber, thanks for asking. I am feeling better, but my cough is worse. :confused3 My throat and everything feels much better- but I feel wheezy in my chest or something. I don't feel quite so tired or run down though!!!

Does anybody watch Big Brother?? I'm getting excited about the premiere!!:dance3: (yes, I'm the loser who watches all the reality shows!!!)

Ashley: It sounds like your cold is on its way out. I hate that lingering cough, it always seems to hang around forever! I don't watch Big Brother, just never got into it. If a new season is starting soon maybe I'll give it a try. I hardly ever watch reality shows if I miss the first ones, but if I catch it from the start I usually stick with it. I don't watch too many though -- I have enough drama in my own life!

I took the girls to the mall after work to go to (where else?) TDS. Lyzzie needed to get a gift for a classmate's birthday party on Saturday, and I needed an excuse to buy more crap for our trip. I talked my mom into buying coordinating outfits, I bought mine & the girls and she bought hers & my dads. I should have asked her to buy ALL of our outfits... didn't think about that until later. They only had one mens shirt left so my brother & his GF are out of luck. If he really wants something, I could go back & get him the shorts I guess. My mom wanted something nicer than a tshirt for the Luau, and TDS has this cute line of blue tiki-style clothing. Dresses for the girls & Mom, a tank and wrap skirt for me, and a hawaiian shirt for Dad. Also wooden bracelet sets, I got 2 sets of 3 each and thought we could split them between me, Mom & Lyzzie. I found matching sunglasses for the girls, and even a matching picture frame to hold our photo of us all in our Luau gear! I also picked up a swim bag that matches the girls swimsuits, and some activity books for the plane ride & downtime at WDW.

For her friend's bday, Lyzzie got a Mickey purse and a bunch of little things to put in it - a small radio, ponytailers, sunglasses, a cup, a "magic" towel, a pen & lollypops. She did so good picking stuff out! It was all super cheap but looks like an awesome gift. I hope her friend likes Disney! (Show me a 9-yo girl who doesnt.)

When we got to the mall it was just starting to rain, it was really black out there and not looking good at all. We lucked out though and it was over by the time we were done. Woohoo! However when I got the umbrella out of the car, it was wet. Turns out a water bottle had rolled under the passenger seat & opened, getting a whole bunch of stuff soaked. Lyzzie cried when she had to throw out some Disney Adventures magazines and books. I told her that's too bad, but let it be a lesson that the car is not a good place to keep precious things. She said, "I strongly dislike that kind of lesson!" I just hope the floormats don't get moldy, it was really wet back there.

Amber: Who us, talk a lot? Not me! (yeah right)

Quick funny story I almost forgot about!

We took a wrong turn while looking for someplace to eat on Saturday night in Iowa, and ended up hooking a u-turn in a seedy parking lot. Reading the sign on the building, I jokingly asked the girls, "Do you want to eat at 'Bottoms Up - Beer and Dancing Girls'?" Lyzzie made a grossed out face, and from the backseat Emma shouted....

"YEAH!"

She sounded SO excited, we laughed about it for about 5 minutes.

I had to drop a line and save us from page 5. I mean we are #10... ya know what I'm saying? Anyone feel the pressure?;) :rotfl2:

Pozey great job with the trip report.:thumbsup2

lyzziesmom...hope you avoid the flooding issue. We really didn't get much rain today but they still predicting flooding rains.:confused3 Hopefully they will be wrong.

Ashley, I LOOOOOVE Big Brother! When is the premiere? I know I've seen the commercials but I can't remember the date. Its the one reality show I make a point to watch.

A guy Chris knows is a finalist on On the Lot. Will, the sort of nerdy blond guy, went to our college and is good friends with several of our friends, and Chris knows him a little I guess. Sort of cool, his films are sweet.

Goooood morning, everyone!! Not much happening with me lately. Same old , same old. Work, eat and sleep....
Speaking of eating; how about some Mini-Mickey Waffles this morning?::MickeyMo Just a minute I have to squeeze a piece of bacon onto this tiny holder.....there, it's all done!!

Good morning everyone.

More rain here in Green Country. And lots of it this morning.

Thanks for the wonderful breakfast Donna!!

Thanks for the great breakfast, Donna! Your schedule sounds a lot like mine!

Lyzziesmom - so Emma wanted to go to the "Bottoms Up", huh? Oh, boy! :rotfl:

Lin - I love On The Lot - I know who you're talking about, his film last night was funny - in a dark, twisted kind of way...

YM - thanks for saving us!

Pozey - yep... more rain.

Have a great day, all!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Lin- I've never seen that show, but that's cool someone you know is on it!

YM- Page 5? We need to get to posting!

Have a great day!

Well the Pozey clan had a fun evening last night.

The boys had a swim meet scheduled in Jenks, America at 6:00 pm. And since they haven't been to practice in a week and a half, I really didn't know what to expect from them.

Also on the agenda......Chase scheduled to ride in a Limo to a pizza party.....

The backstory........The Broken Arrow Youth Baseball League held a fundraiser at the beginning of the season. Selling cookie dough. :rolleyes1 Anyway, any player who sold more than 30 items was rewarded by taking a Limo ride to a pizza place and back. Well, Chase sold 31. :woohoo: My team actually had 3 players who sold more than 30 - including the TOP SELLER for the entire league.

So......the Limo ride was scheduled for last night from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. That kind of threw a kink in the swim meet plans. So, I called the coach and told him we'd be a little late and to enter Chase only in the backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. DW took Colton so that he would be on time.

So, we get to the ballpark where the Limo is set to pick the players up. All told, a total of 28 players sold the required 30 items. So, as we are waiting in the parking lot, 3 Limos pull up. One H2 Hummer Limo, a Ford Excursion Limo, and a Lincoln Town Car Limo. Of course the boys are pumped about the Hummer Limo.

LimoRide004.jpg

As it turned out, only 14 of the 28 players showed up. So league officials were telling parents and siblings they can ride along if they desired. I really didn't want to go, as I had a couple of errands I wanted to get done. But the mother of one of Chase's best friends has a daughter that has a HUGE crush on Chase. And she wanted to go. So, I said I would go and take the young girl with me.

LimoRide008.jpg

It was fun. Me and the other girl rode in a different Limo than Chase and his friends so that they could have their fun.

The Limos took everyone to CiCi's Pizza and the league bought pizza for all the parents as well.

The kids had a blast!!

So......after the Limo ride and pizza, Chase and I high-tailed it to the swim meet. We arrived just in time to see Colton win his Freestyle event.

Chase ended up winning all 3 of his events......easily. Colton won Freestyle, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. He came in 2nd in Backstroke - which he hates swimming now for some reason.

So, that was our fun night last night.

Hope nobody gets washed away today with all the flood warnings going on! We have them again for today, but so far it's just gray and sprinkly.

Thanks for the Mickey waffles Donna, you know those are my favorite! I was looking last week for a Mickey waffle iron, and I found one that makes those exact same ones 4-up, but it's discontinued. Perhaps I could check eBay? I did find one that makes bigger Mickey waffles, but they looked really thin and weird and just not the same, not even like the big ones at WDW.

The girls wanted to wear their new Minnie Mouse dresses today so I let them. Emma woke up and saw hers, got all excited and said "Are we going to Disney World today?" Poor kid wanted to go back sleep when I said no. Of course they had to bring their matching sunglasses too, but it's doubtful the sun will make an appearance today.

pozey: I'm looking forward to reading more of your trip report today, get cracking! ;) ETA: Never mind, I see you posted while I was typing. ETA again: Never mind the never mind... I just read it and it's not part of your trip report!

Everyone around here is all spiffied up today for the owner's appearance, but nobody seems to know what time he's coming in. Way to keep us on our toes! I can't stand when employees get like this, I mean he's just a person too. Nobody outside the company and this industry (quite specialized) knows who the heck he is, I think it's silly the way some people get all gaga over company bigwigs. I do try to make a good impression since he ultimately signs my paycheck, but I won't treat him differently than I do anyone else. I think people appreciate that - they can usually tell when their behind is being kissed.

Lin: I haven't watched On The Lot, is it good? So that's your brush with fame, huh? I was told that my mom's neighbor's babysitter was a finalist on The Bachelor, but I don't know which one. Nor do I much care! Now if it was American Idol, I'd be impressed.
