Linda - Poly!!! yay for you! :woohoo:

thank you...I'm still so excited!!!:dance3:

Pozey...love the tr so far! sounds like you had it all planned perfectly! can't wait to see more pix.

Ashley..hard decision... I can see why saving would be better, then again, once you have kids it seems so much harder to splurge on things sometimes when they have this to pay for and that to pay for... I decided it's part of our Christmas and not spending as much as I usually do on gifts. Kenny is getting a great Christmas... considering he gets a great vacation and a 4 wheeler and toys...and Mickey Mouse!!!:woohoo:

:rotfl: I love you guys too! We all understand each other!

What did you say? You can say that again:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hello All - Amber, YM, (Tink-U R welcome), Hi DZNYFAN, Pozey-Great Pic's Welcome back!

Liyzziesmom - I try my best... Plus I can't say "NO". well I can But it is all-ways followed by "Problem" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Lindakmonty - YOU SHOULD...:yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh great. Why do I do this stuff to myself? Emma's dentist appointment is tomorrow morning, so I decided now would be a good time to look up the "papoose" restraint they want to use on her. Everything I found was articles about how bad it is, how it uses excessive force and should only be used for severly disabled people, and one article about how it caused a 4 year old boy's death during routine cavity fillings! Now I'm a nervous wreck... I feel bad enough that I have to give her valium in the morning.

Which reminds me of a funny story... on Friday night after our drive, once we arrived to the hotel of course the girls were not the least bit sleepy. I was joking around and said, "If you two don't calm down I'm going to have to break out the Benadryl and drug you to sleep!" Emma seized on that idea and kept yelling (remember the walls were very thin) "Drug me! Drug me! Mommy's going to drug me! Yay! Drug me!"

I was so glad I didn't see any of our neighbors in the halls the next morning.

hello strangers!!!

Seriously looking into a faster computer, or shall I say internet system------that's all I have to say.:lmao: My patience is wearing extremely thin with this one. I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I moved the computer into a different room and it is just not convenient and it takes FOREVER!!!!!!! Not to mention that my meds were adjusted last week, so I can't stand sitting at the screen for very long with my new set-up. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but the medication adjustment makes me very nausious (sp??) so I can't stare at a screen for a long period of time. This, combined with my Wilma-esque computer is not good.:scared:

I just skimmed through today's posts after not logging on for over a week, so HELLO to everyone.

Linda----did I read that you are going to WDW and staying at the POLY???? oh PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE take me with you!!!!!!! (can you hear my crying here????:sad1: )
how wonderful!!!!!!!!
we stayed there all of the time when I was a little girl------I want so badly to stay there again.

YM-----PM's all clean. Hope DS is doing okay.

Miss Donna----what a lovely breakfast.:lmao: YM's favorite. Where is your linen napkin, missy????:rotfl2:

Amber, Linda and Pozey-----I know we have spoken about this so many times, but could you please remind me again what type of cameras you have????

this is taking forever to post, so I am going to log off now.

have a good night and I will try to check in more often this week.

great pics, btw for those who posted them!!!!!

The Pin-cess was here.:worship: :worship: Thanks for cleaning out your PM's.:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

I got DS to the allergy clinic today and they don't think he has an infection in his lungs just some mucos plugging from his asthma. I have to call back later this week if he is still coughing. If Lesa was reading this she would really be doing the   becuase they weren't wanting to give him an antibiotic. So... we will just wait and see and hope he improves.

Good morning, everyone!! It's thundering here; we may get some rain today!! We really, really need it!!!
Linda's staying at the Poly!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: We'll have to celebrate by having some Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes this morning!!!:dance3:

Good Morning!!!

Donna, those pancakes look so good! I was going to try them before, but opted for Tonga Toast instead.

2x2s, great to hear from you. We've missed you. :grouphug: My camera is a Pentax k100d.

Lyzziesmom, Emma is too funny! :lmao:

YM, I hope he feels better soon. :wizard:

My mom is scheduled for a biopsy Friday (they found a lump). :guilty: The procedure doesn't sound too bad. She will be awake the whole time and just numbed. I am so worried. She seems to be taking it well; I guess she is just waiting to see if it's bad news or not. So, if you all can think of her, I'd appreciate it.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!:yay:

Donna - Macadamia pinapple pancakes - those look good!

Amber - prayers for your mom.

YM - poor kid - hope he's feeling better soon.

2X2S!! It was good to see you, however briefly!

Lyzziesmom - I assume you expect a struggle from Miss Emma? Doesn't sound like fun. "Mommy's going to drug me..." :rotfl:

Underdog - :wave2:

Donna - rain? Oh, you can have some of ours...

Pozey - you didn't miss much while you were gone. It rained. Then it rained. OH! And it rained again. Now it's going to rain some more. Keeps the PSO bill down, though.

Well, I seem to be quite long winded when I "tell" a story, so I have to break some of the days out into multiple parts......

Day 2 – Sunday, June 17th (Part 1)
We had absolutely nothing planned for today. I figured that we would all be pretty tired from the long drive, that we could take this day and just relax……well…….that’s just not our style…….

So, I ask the fellow at the front desk of the Embassy Suites a couple of questions. Where are some good places for dinner, and what should we go and see that isn’t the Grand Canyon (we have plans to go there tomorrow)? He suggests we go to the Snow Bowl. Flagstaff is at the foothills of the highest point in Arizona. They are called the San Francisco Peaks. And there is a ski resort there. And during the off season, you can take one of the ski lifts up to the top of one of the mountains.

So, off we go to the Snow Bowl. It is only about half an hour drive up the mountain to get there. It is such a beautiful drive up the mountain. We see a lot of people riding bikes up the road. I cannot even imagine trying to ride up that hill!!

So, we arrive at the “ski lodge” and we have to wait around for about 10 minutes before we can buy our tickets to go up the mountain. It is about 70 degrees at the lodge.

Courtney sees the ski lifts and gets scared. She does not want to go up. We try to tell her that she will be very safe and that it will be okay. But she does not want to go.

Now……I ask how long it takes to get up to the top of the hill and then back down. It takes half an hour each way. Well, after some discussion, we decide that DW and Courtney will stay at the bottom while the boys and I go up first. DW and Courts will………what else…..shop. Before we start up, we buy a blanket because we are told the temperature at the top of the mountain is a brisk 60 degrees. We are all in T-shirts and shorts, and while I don’t mind a little cool weather……Chase does not.

Well, we hop on the ski lift and head up. You get a fantastic view of the mountain and the surrounding area on the way to the top.

Once at the top, you can walk around and can get a little glimpse of the Grand Canyon – which is a good 50 miles away.

GC1056.jpg

We don’t stay at the top long, because I hated that we left DW and Courts behind. So, we take a few pictures and head back down.

When we get back down, we try to convince Courtney to go, but she still isn’t interested. So, DW and Chase go while Courts, Colton, and I stay behind. By this time, the lodge was serving lunch and Colton and Courtney were hungry and I was parched. So, the kids had a chicken finger (do they?) basket and I had a Tecate. After our “snack”, Colton and Courtney went exploring in the nearby woods with some other kids that were around.

DW and Chase came back down the mountain a little while later. They stayed at the top of the mountain a little longer than the boys and I did. They listened to the Ranger at the top talk about how the mountains were formed – it was really a dormant volcano. Everyone had a good time. And just as we were deciding to leave, Courtney gets sad because she says she now isn’t scared and would like to go. Well, a little too late now…….:confused3

Day 2 Part 2 coming later....

Pozey - you didn't miss much while you were gone. It rained. Then it rained. OH! And it rained again. Now it's going to rain some more. Keeps the PSO bill down, though.
:lmao: Yeah, that's what I heard.

We had fantastic weather the entire trip. The only raindrops we saw the whole time, was a very slight sprinkle as we were driving into Albuquerque on our way to the Grand Canyon. Just enough to make us use the windshield wipers about 5 times.

Good morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Amber- :grouphug: I'll say a prayer for your mom.

Pozey- Great TR! Those pics are great!

Lyzziemsom- Emma cracks me up! :rotfl:

I am going to MVMCP!!! I talked to Steven and he said he'd like to go. So this morning I called and moved up my WCC reservation and I just need to buy tickets. I am so excited!!! :woohoo: :yay:

pozey, loving the report!

Nicole, you are going to have so much fun at MVMCP!!!! Do you have TGM?? He has some good tips for the party.

I don't have TGM Amber. Is it worth it? Riding the rides doesn't really matter to me all that much because we'll be at the MK the next day. Well, that might change now. Maybe we'll spend a little time at AK now. (Sorry, just talking to myself!)

I like TGM if just for planning the "best days" to go to each park. He does have some good tips on other things. There is a TON of info though and can take a while to read through it all. He does have a money back guarantee. I have a $4 off code somewhere; I'll look for it.

I will totally agree with the "best days" statement.

I used TGM for our trips in 2005 AND 2006. And the "best days" part of TGM was worth the money by itself.

Well, DW just called. Today is her first day back at work after vacation. So, she is going through her backlog of e-mails and calls me up and says "Well, looks like I am going to Buffalo in a couple of weeks."

I think this is a "training" kind of trip for her.
