Mom wanted me to bring Kenny over tonight to play w/her clients dog she's sitting for the night. He's a trained dog for blind/disabled...super smart and he wants Kenny to be able to play w/him:cloud9: that's so sweet! I can't wait to see this dog!

Oh, forgot to tell you guys, I have an interview with a local high school on Tuesday for a full-time tech theatre position.

God, I'm such a geek!
you're not a geek :)!!!

Aaaack! I leave for lunch and you guys hit 1000 pages WITHOUT ME!!! I'll have to go back and read now. Yay us!!

Lin: yikes! There's more calories in that one piece of cake than I usually eat in a day or two!!

I had awful pizza for lunch at Lyzzie's school... but it was worth it to see the kids. :)

I am so out of the loop, I hadn't heard the Alec Baldwin thing but I'll have to look it up. And here I always thought he was a pretty decent guy.

I'm doing my all-time favorite part of my job today... stuffing envelopes! (Can you hear the sarcasm there?)

The weather has finally decided to get nice, it's supposed to be 80 tomorrow afternoon! Watch out Worlds of Fun, here we come! I just bought our season passes online, ouch there's another chunk out of my bank account.

Linda: That story is so incredibly sad. I really think there should be mandatory parenting classes, and if you fail, you get sterilized. A little 1984ish, but there you go.

My mom is most likely getting a dog today. She went to the pet rescue store again, it's the same place where she got her gawdawful rat terrier - and returned her. I guess they gave her a hard time about bringing the dog back, even after she explained that it bit the baby (Emma). They said, "Well did it draw blood?" She said, "No, but she BIT THE BABY, what was I supposed to do, get rid of the BABY?!?" They then went on to explain that most bites are the owner's fault, not the dog's, and that if she wants to adopt from them again she will have to attend classes because she is an irresponsible pet owner. I can't believe she's going back there! She found a corgi/terrier mix puppy there and wants it, and went back there with my dad to look at it again after lunch. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I keep telling her NO TERRIERS because their personality is everything my parents don't want in a dog, but they just don't get it. She says, "But it's cute, and it's the right size!" I try to explain that it's behavioral traits that make terriers not right for them, but she won't listen. She just wants to get a dog, and will take the first one that comes along at the right price that will fit through their existing pet door. *sigh*

Yikes! Sounds like she may have to learn the hard way, again. My mom is like that with cars. She doesn't care if it has the worst crash rating in the world if its cute and little. Drives me nuts. Maybe you could go with her and take the girls, see how the dog does around kids?

Well, I'm off to work! Have a great rest of your Friday and a great Saturday!

but at least you had a nice lunch w/ Lyzzie!

I totally agree with your parenting thoughts!

Oh, boy... trying another dog? Good luck!!

I want on the 1000th page too!!! :cool1:

Little and cute... describes my car, too. But, I got the side curtain air bags when I bought mine, because it is so little!

I almost got t-boned by a big industrial truck yesterday, I had a green light coming off the highway ramp and was starting to make my left turn, and he blew thru his red - it wouldn't have mattered what size car I was in - I would've been toast!
