Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Lesa: I can't wait to hear the rest of the poodle skirt story! I must say, you're much more ambitious than I would have been. I can't sew a stitch either. Last year I had a button fall off my blazer at work. It just so happened that the day before, a vendor had come by and dropped off some promotional items... including a mini sewing kit. Being the receptionist, I keep pretty much all vendor gifts. So I whipped it out and somehow the sewed the button back on my blazer, and it held! I was so proud, I showed it to everyone. The funny part is, the blazer and button are black and the thread I used was white! I just called it a fashion statement and continued to be proud.

Happy Birthday Courtney!!

Lyzzie saw those cakes and wants to know where they sell them.

We went to a couple pet stores today in search of a pet mouse for Lyzzie and a cage. It's harder than it sounds, because I refuse to pay $40 for a two dollar mouse! Also, most rodent cages have bars on the sides, and we learned the hard way last year that a mouse can slip right through those bars. Lyzzie had a cage she bought at a garage sale, and we caught a field mouse and put him in the cage. He lasted all of .5 seconds before he ran out and right into my mom's house! Lyzzie found a little baby brown mouse at one store today that she just fell in love with - she was a cute little critter. But, no cages. Found a cage at Petco, but no mice. By then I was getting tired & crabby so we just came home.

We did see the sweetest little puppy at one store. She was a black & brown longhaired dachschund, about 6-8 weeks old. I immediately called my mom, because she's been looking for a dog and we used to have a red longhaired doxie who was just the best dog every. But, they wanted $500 for this puppy and mom's not willing to pay that much. The girls and I fell in love with the little thing, but I can't have a dog, I'm just not that responsible! Actually we're not really home enough to fairly care for a dog.

We had lunch at a McD's that I've never been to... it was so cute! It was decorated like a 50s diner, complete with records on the wall, red vinyl sparkly chairs and pictures of records on the tabletops. Who knew? Lyzzie, my little vegetarian, must have been very hungry because she said, "Mommy your chicken looks really good, can I have some?" (It was the chicken selects, which DO look a lot better than nuggets.) I had to ask her, "Who are you and what have you done with Lyzzie??"

Emma has been crashed out on the couch since about 6pm - now it's almost bedtime and I'm sure she'll wake up soon. The poor kid was so crabby, she cried for about 15 minutes because her favorite show wasn't on. Then she followed me to the bathroom, and when I sat back down on the couch she climbed into my lap and finally settled down. Next thing I knew she was asleep! I hope she's not up all night.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Good morning, everyone!!! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far! :sunny: I think I'll catch the monorail to the Poly this morning and eat at the Kona Cafe. I'm having tonga Toast; anyone care to join me?? :teeth:

Good morning everyone!

Donna-- tonga toast... mmmmmm... Just one month to go and I can get some of that! And thanks for the reminder that next year I'll have more rain than snow :cool1:

Lesa- Good luck with the sewing. I can't sew at all. I got a D on my
home ec. sewing assignment in Jr. High. My mom can sew anything, but that gene was definately NOT passed down to me. Love the Barbie machine :lmao:

Happy be-lated birthday courtney!

Lyzziesmom-- We're at Universal May 9 & 10, and then at WDW the 11, 12 & 13th. If I remember right, we'll just miss each other by a few days.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

it's the long lost non-cliquer----hopefully I am still welcome.??:confused3

Things are still going about the same with all of my issues, but we are moving in the right direction, I think. I won't bore you with details.
I just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Seems as though I missed some very important birthdays!!!!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO MISS LESA AND MISS SHERRI!!!!

and for Little Miss Courtney!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS COURTNEY!!!! (a little late, too--sorry)

I hope you all enjoyed your special days!!

One fun thing I did yesterday----I went to the Fox Theater to see Chicago. It was wonderful. Our seats could have been a bit better, but I got the tickets a little late, but they were still good, just up a bit higher than I wanted. The singing and dancing were excellent!!! I don't know how they can keep up the stamina throughout the entire show. I would have been on the floor out of breath!!!

Everyone have a great Sunday and hugs to all!!!

2x2...I'm so glad to see you! I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing.:yay:

That dessert for Lesa sure looks good...and if I remember correctly, it tastes good too:dance3:

Sounds like you had a good time seeing Chicago. Can you believe I have still never seen the movie:confused3 There are so many things I haven't seen.

Blake got our taxes to go thru:banana:  I forgot to turn off the security controls on the computer. As soon as he did that it went thru with no problems.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COURTNEY!!!

Lesa- :lmao: Your sewing story is killing me! I can't wait to hear part 4! I can kinda sew, my mom is a great sewer though but I have never really learned. It's great having someone in the family who can sew. Whenever I need something fixed or hemmed, I take it to mom.

Michele- I'm glad Lilly's dresser finally came in. We need some new Lilly pics!!!

Lyzziesmom- I hope you can finally get Lyzzie her mouse! As a kid I had a few gerbils, I want one again. Your could try a fish tank. We had our gerbils in a fish tank and put some kind of cover on top that they sold at the pet store.

Amber- I'm glad your mom understands about WDW now. 6 days left!!!!!:cheer2:

Nicole:: My curiosity has gotten the better of me... what is a Mojitooooo Club Stalker?? Inquiring minds want to know.:teeth:

Some people from my POP group that went last year during free dining with me are staying at POP during free dining this time. Since I can't go I decided to put that in my siggy.

I saw Meet the Robinson's in 3D yesterday and it was good. Steven and I really liked it.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Howdy y'all! Well we got our mouse today. We went to my mom's house to check out the cage Lyzzie bought a while back, and all it needed was a cap so off to Petsmart we went to get the cap, and they had a cute little brown & white mouse that Lyzzie really liked, it was the only one they had. The guy couldn't even catch it to show it to us, so I told her that would NOT be a good pet for her. Then he told us they had some more in the back for adoption. Silly me, thought adoption & sale were the same thing, but I was wrong. Apparently sometimes the mice fight and hurt each other, and the injured ones are unsuitable for sale so they have them for "adoption" = FREE! There was a little white mouse w/black spots that is relatively calm, so we got him and she named him Oreo. She's been pretty much stuck to the cage ever since we got him home. Emma likes him too, but she wants to name him Scratchy.

I could not believe it, but Emma slept all night through after crashing out on the couch! She was so surprised to wake up in her clothes.

Oops, my folks are here... gotta run & show off the new member of the family.

awww... you'll have to post pix of oreo! too cute. free is good!

Hi, everyone!! We just got back a little bit ago from a Slot Car show in St. Louis. It's not too exciting for me, but I go along to hold the "stuff" and to have lunch and shop later.:teeth:

Nicole:: Thanks for the explanation about your siggie!!

2x2s:: Your Saturday night at the Fox sounded like fun!!! I took a backstage tour of the Fox a few years back, it was really interesting.
Of course you're welcome here!!! Why would you think otherwise???:goodvibes

I let him buy a Full Throttle energy drink on the way home and now he thinks he has extra energy. I really wasn't too crazy about him trying one because there are ingredients in those things that I've never even heard of!!!:scared: I've always told him NO!!! ;) now he thinks he has mega energy...oh no! I still have Kennys training wheels on his new bike. I just want to make sure he'll be ok since its bigger than the one he was riding w/o any training wheels. I probably worry too much but I had to go to the hospital when I wrecked my bike when I was 5 and I'd rather be too cautious than not cautious enough ;)

I hope you all had a terrific weekend and Courtney had a fantastic birthday!! Donna...that tonga toast really makes me want to go try it! I've been going back and forth in my head for the past few days on what to do. That is SAD:blush: I really want to go...but really don't know if we should. I really don't want to take Kenny out of school right off the bat... I really want to get back on the ship so I could book for everyone that wanted to so we could get 10% off and $200 on board credits...then transfer to TA for even more savings...uhhh what to do, what to do! I really should be focusing on putting the duplex on the market and seeing about school. So much to do, so little time!

:goodvibes

Thanks For the welcome!!!!!!!!!! I'm In, Right?

Oh course!!!!

Hey everyone, its been a busy weekend!

Lyzziesmom, your story about the mouse made me remember this weeks CSI episode. They said that if a mouse can fit its head through something it can contorte the rest of its body/skeleton to fit through the opening as well.

Lesa, your story is cracking me up!!! Can't wait to hear the rest!

Well, night everyone!!!!

Good Morning all!!

It's back to work for me:teacher:

Poor Blake is in England right now! It's going to be a long week:sad2:

Have a great Monday everyone!!

Good morning, crew!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! :sunny: I know mine went by so fast!!
I think we are going to travel to Naples, Italy today and have a rooftop breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I hope everyone has a Magical Monday!!:tinker:

Good Morning!!

Donna, breakfast looks so good. The view is great too.

Lyzziesmom, I'm glad Lyzzie was able to get a mouse. Oreo sounds very cute.

My internet was down yesterday. :guilty: Hopefully, it will be working tonight. Today it is SO windy and it's suppose to get worse later today (60mph gusts  )

My MIL called last night and thinks they will be coming to WDW for a couple days. She is suppose to call tonight and let us know which days. I'm not looking forward to seeing them. That sounds bad, but the guilt trips that Mike and I have been given are unreal. They are still upset we aren't going to their house for vacation. I swear if it's not one thing it's another.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Good Morning everyone!

Lyzziesmom- I love the name Oreo for the mouse. Too cute!

Well tonight the people who are buying our house are doing a final walk through. I hope everything goes well since they've been kind of a pain in the behind to work with! :headache: Just a reminder I'll be MIA for a little while while I transition to my mom and dads and then on to West Virginia starting this Friday. I'll try to pop in here and there if I can, but I'll for sure be up and running by May 20.

Well, I'd better go wake up my kiddo for school and grab some grub! Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone!!

How was everyone’s weekend? What a difference we had here between Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was cold, wet, and dreary all day. Sunday was beautiful.

It was basically birthday central for the pozey crew this weekend. Saturday, we had a party for both Colton and Courtney. We went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. It was really nice. We had a room all to ourselves for a couple of hours and then we could go walk around inside the Aquarium. The Oklahoma Aquarium isn’t all that big, but they do have some nice exhibits. The shark tank is pretty impressive though. Everyone had a great time. Colton asked if he and his friends could go walk around by themselves. So I let them. They had a great time.

Sunday was my nephew’s birthday. He turned 3. They were just having a simple birthday party at their house with family.

Before going to that birthday party though, I went with my babysitter/neighbor/friend out to Woodward Park to take photographs of her for her High School Graduation announcements. We took some normal pictures and some in her Cap and Gown. We looked at them later on and there are some really good ones.

We had a pretty busy weekend. But it was a fun weekend.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! The view is great!

Pozey- Sounds like you were busy this weekend with all the birthday parties!

Linda- I say go on the cruise!!!:boat: That is a tough decision to make though.

Amber- I'm sorry about your MIL. Maybe you could not tell her next time you go up there.
