Linda, I'll post some pictures in a few minutes from our
free dining trips. You will be surprised!! This year we are going 8/31 - 9/09. It's a great time because most people don't want to pull their kids out of school right when it just started, but I personally think if you're going to miss school, that is a great time because it's all just review from the year before for the first month anyway.

Darn, I liked her. At least she was entertaining, not like Phil. He has seriously GOT to go! Hey, does anyone else's local news try so hard to make a "local connection" to AI? Last night they had a big story on our local news about a LOCAL CONNECTION TO AN AI STAR!! Turns out Phil went to high school in Wichita - on the other side of the state! - and they interviewed his old friends. Big whoop.

Awww, you actually made me tear up a little bit, you're so sweet! I think your ADRs look good. One suggestion: I personally like to figure out the park hours, and then decide which park I want to be in each day and make my ADRs based on that, to minimize travel time. If you have a car it's not that big of a deal, but when Lyzzie's grandma made the ADRs one year, we ended up taking four hours for a LUNCH because we had to go all over WDW to get from one place to another. For example, if you want a breakfast at Chef Mickey's, make it on a MK or Epcot day so you can take a bus to MK, hop the monorail to CR (which is great because in the morning the mono is empty and you can ride in front!) and then hop the mono back to MK or Epcot. Put Boma on an AK day, because it's close by and easy to get to. See? Also I try to schedule ADR times according to park hours... either early enough to be done well before park closing, or just before closing if the park closes early, so you get the most time in the park as possible. That's just MY way of doing things, but I think you have a similar touring style to me. However you do it, I know you're bound to have a great time!!
YM: That is so scary about the police shooting! Good thing you missed it, looks like you would have been stuck in traffic for a long time if you were just a few minutes later.

One guy called for AKL deluxe view, but all they had was standard, so he declined!!! Heck, I would have taken the standard room and walked outside to see the animals.
Congrats on getting your reservation! Just for kicks, I priced out the AKL for our trip... the only room available was some sort of club level suite for $12,000.00!!

I do, but not at that price! I can't believe people actually pay that, I can't even imagine having that much disposable income. I'm stressing out over $1000, which I know is a great price for 10 days but it's still a lot of money to me!
I just got through after an hour and 40 minutes, and they didn't have Pop in a preferred room.

At least you got something, just keep calling back to see if anything else opens up. When I called yesterday to try to change next month's trip to ASMo and nothing was open, the CM told me to try back every couple of days because there are always cancellations and changes. It's funny... after I got everything reserved, Lyzzie told me she'd rather stay at Pop! We were there her last 2 times and she says it's her favorite... although with her, whatever is most recent is her favorite. So after next month, I'm sure ASMu will be her new favorite. Silly fickle little girl!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the group singing "Bailamos". I couldn't even listen to it, I seriously think this is the most untalented group AI has ever had. It was actually making my headache worse (thanks for asking DznyFan, its much better now!!!) Lyzziesmom- after you mentioned Chris' bopping up and down thats all I could look at!
I always hate the "group sings." I think they should just do away with them. Oh, but then how would they fill a whole hour just to say, "Your journey ends here?" And what would they put on the AI CD's?
The thing that bugged me most about AI this week was Ryan making cracks to Simon calling him "rich boy" and saying how a ton of money is nothing to him. As if Ryan doesn't make a boatload of cash too! Puh-leeze. The boy has AI, and his radio show, and NY Eve... I'm sure he's rolling in the dough.
Mike said the same thing. She sounded good, but since I didn't know what she was saying I couldn't stick with it. Plus, she did some weird dance thing in the middle of the song.
They always try to make it seem like the "pros" are so much better than the contestants. If they would give the contestants the mike effects, lighting smoke and fans they would look and sound better too! There was nearly hurricane-force winds on JLo's hair in the middle there! I FF'ed after that, I just couldn't take it anymore.
Thank you. Courtney is doing much better. She went to the dentist this morning. He said the tooth is fine. Her gums are bruised up pretty good, but that will go away in a few days. There was no damage to her teeth at all.
Oh I'm so glad to hear that. She is such a beautiful girl, it would be a shame for her to lose those teeth too early - although if anyone could pull off that look, she could.
I saw that on one of Rachel Ray's shows a couple years ago and I've been dying to try it ever since! How was it? I'm also drooling over the Little Italy food- is it lunch time yet???
