now, if we start talking wdw...or cruises...THAT perks our interest and we could go on and on and on:rolleyes1 turn on the travel channel..and I'm set. Crap, that reminds me I missed DCL on the travel channel yesterday. Darn it! Oh well, I'm sure its the same one that has been on there since day 1. I really wish they'd update those!

Hi Yolanda!!

Hi ladies! It's so gloomy here I just want to take a nap.:guilty:

I got a letter in the mail today from my bank stating that my debit card account number may have possibly been stolen. :scared1: They sent me a new card, and closed out the old one.

I have to call and get a copy of my credit report sent out to me. :headache: I swear, the luck I have had lately with everything. :sad2: It really has to get better soon......right?:confused3

Lesa: That's nice that your bank automatically sent you a new debit card and cancelled the old one. Dont forget to update your information if you pay anything automatically with that card, or if you have it registered at PayPal or anything!

I got a call this afternoon from my Dr's office's lab. I immediately went into panic mode and the lady had to repeat herself -- turns out they didn't get enough blood from me yesterday for the tests they need to run, so I have to come back in. She acted like they would be doing me a huge favor by not making me make an appointment... well I would expect at least as much since it was THEIR mistake in the first place!! Several years ago when my brother was first diagnosed with leukemia, I had to go to FL to get my blood tested to see if I would be a match for a potential bone marrow donor (I wasn't). Anyway, they need to match on several different things, so they took 7 vials of blood. A few minutes later, the tech came back into the waiting room and I knew something was wrong -- they used the wrong vials and had to do it again! Now I am not good with having blood drawn, I've been known to pass out during/after, so I was NOT happy about that!!

I forgot about having to change automatic payments. Thanks for reminding me!

Sorry they had to keep drawing your blood over and over. Hopefully they got it right this time. I hate having my blood drawn too! Makes me want to pass out. I always ask for butterfly needles before they even start. They don't bother me as much.

Good morning friends. Hello and welcome Miz Diz and GinaGrumpyDwarf. What have they done to these smilies!?!?!?!?!

Michele, I received Bree's thank you yesterday. She is very welcome.

I have never said anything about my job to you guys before, but I would love to share some good news. I work at a pharmacy as a technician. Last May Walgreens purchased the chain for whom I was working for. Walgreens reps. came in evaluated us and gave promotions to those they felt showed the most interest and initiative. Our previous Head Tech did not make this promotion and I was promoted to Senior Tech. Well I had only been there for 2 years and was not a certified tech. and she had been there
6 years and was certified. My work life since Jan. has been terrible with this whole jeolousy issue. (Did I mention she was the Pharmacy Managers Pet.;) )
So on Monday I emailed my supervisor requesting to be removed from that store. On Tuesday he came in and told me that was my last day in that location. (Where's the banana when you need it!) So now I am currently in another store about 30 minutes away. The drive stinks but at least I can sleep at night and not tear my husbands head off when I come home from work at night all stressed out.

Sorry my story was a little long but I am soooooo relieved to be out of the situation and wanted to share with my friends.

I hope everyone has a great day. It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!

Sherri...I'm glad you got out of there!! It's amazing how one person can ruin a work environment like that! I hope the new store is great for you!

Wow everyone really is so nice!! That's such a change from some other threads!! I swear my computer types with invisible font color sometimes..lol:lmao:
Oh we are so nice sometimes it will make your teeth hurt...:rolleyes1 I'm just kidding:) I was like you, posting with invisible ink until I found this thread. Join in anytime.!!

I don't think we have ever had a disagreement on here. :scratchin I take that back, Pozey and Sewer got into it over sports.:lmao: I have been both flamed and ignored, not fun.:guilty:

A quick story......I worked in Maddie's class yesterday. There were red strings taped all over the place. I had to keep stepping over them. I finally asked one of the kids what was up with all the ****y traps. He said they were trying to catch a leprechaun.:lmao: :rotfl:

I love the leprechaun trap!! That is too cute!!
Well, I was offered the job but turned it down. :( I really hope I made the right decision.

Well...I was going to say more but I need to head out to get my eye brows waxed... They are about to grow into my eyelids.:rotfl:

Catch everyone in a bit!:dance3:

You are too funny!!! How is DS feeling???

Linda, sounds like me! NO clue when it comes to March Madness....

:wave2: it's going great - it is incredible! Some pix up, pm for instructions! :goodvibes

I am loving March Madness....Michigan State won last night:cool1: :cool1: and even better Michigan lost in the NIT!!:rolleyes1

Send me the pm for the pix, can't wait to see them!!

Gotta go. I'll check in later

Lesa: What are butterfly needles? I haven't heard of those. My problem is not so much the needle itself, but if I can see the blood or worse yet, hear it as it's being drawn, it's all over. So I will look away and either talk a lot, or click my teeth or hum or make some small sound to drown out any potential noise.

UPDATE: The lab just called back... they tried the testing and it turns out they just barely had enough, so I don't have to go back. Yay!!

DznyFan: Please PM me the link for the pictures as well - I'd love to see them!

I have a couple cute Emma stories I've been meaning to share, but didn't get around to it yet. The other day I went to my mom's house to pick the kids up after work, and she had them outside and they were coloring. I noticed that Emma was using her left hand and I asked her, "Why don't you use your other hand?" She just kept coloring and said, "I have a left hand too." She also has been very into monsters lately. I'm pretty sure she knows they are not real, but she will sometimes not want to do something becaue there are monsters in the other room. As we all know, the poor child has inherited her mother's unruly hair, so we came up with this tactic last week: "You can just scare the monsters away with your scary hair!" and guess what? It WORKS! Who knew the boogeyman was afraid of sweaty morning hair? Now she won't let anyone brush her hair, but that's a new battle.

Yesterday Emma was "reading" some books out loud to herself - she looks at the pictures and does her best to remember the words, or just makes up her own. She was looking at some books that we just bought last weekend, so she is not too familiar with them yet but they are her new favorites. One of them is called "This Is My Hair" and it has pictures of silly hairdos and simple sentences, such as "this is my hair when I wake up" and "this is my hair when I'm painting" (and it's covered in colored splotches). One page is "this is my hair when I go to a rock concert" and Emma reads it like this: "This is my hair when I ROCK!" It's so funny!! Another has a picture of curlers in the kid's hair -- these pictures are childlike drawings, and I don't think Emma has ever seen curlers, so when she got to that page - which shows the ends of the rollers so it looks like a row of O's on the head - she struggled to remember the words and finally came up with, "This is my hair with Spaghetti-O's on it!" It was so cute, because it was the first time I've seen her "read" to herself like that.

One more: Last weekend Emma took a look at the scrapbook I'm working on featuring both the girls. She looked at a page of Lyzzie dancing, and suddenly brightened up and said, "Hey! That's my friend Lyzzie!" I said yes, that's your sister. "No, Lyzzie is my favorite friend. And Kenny is too."

Oh, and my older daughter's name is Brittany, and she is very rebellious. I think that goes along with the name also.;) We do make her keep her panties on though! :lmao:

That was tagalicious!

Lesa- That's nice of your bank to send you a new card. What is a butterfly needle?

Lyzziesmom- I'm sorry they had to take more blood. Hopefully they got enough this time and don't need anymore!

Dznyfan- I'll send you a PM for the pics!

We have never had to leave her behind. We usually go with family so when she got to be too much, someone was there to distract her and give us time to regroup. I would find it hard to leave them behind, I have threatened it, oh, every time we go!:lmao: Where kind of places do you usually eat at there?

We love eating everywhere at Dis. The first time we took them to California Grill, DD was only about 7 months. She didn't make too much of a fuss and we were relieved, but all of a sudden she started shaking, like she was having a seizure. She was filling up her diaper. At least it didn't leak and we were getting ready to leave.

The 2nd time we took our kids there, we told DS (5 at the time) that he had to behave and sit still. We can usually give him a talk ahead of time and he will obey. We sat down at the table and in less than 2 minutes, DS flipped his chair back, landed on the floor with the chair on top of him. Then DD (1 1/2 at the time) was trying to get down from her high chair and making such a fuss I finally took her out. Then she started running around the table. Acting just like the kids I hate having around me when I'm in a nice place. Maybe that's what I get for talking about other people's kids when they are acting up in restaurants.

Kharma - it bites you in the hiney.

When I was pregnant with Brittany I had a lot of complications and was in the hospital most of my 3rd trimester. My veins have a tendency to roll so when they draw my blood they have to fish for the vein.:scared1: That hurts like hell and causes a lot of bruising. Well one day a wonderful phlebotomist came in to draw my blood for first time. She was all the bruising and ask if they were having a hard time getting my blood. I told her yes, my veins roll. She said well they need to use a butterfly needle. So she did and had no problems. Basically a butterfly needle is much finer, and the design makes it easier for them to control. The only down fall is that it takes a little longer to get the blood out. However, you hardly feel anything if at all. I always request one, they won't just use one, and some get snotty about using them (don't know why) but since I have been using the butterfly needle I no longer have trouble with them taking my blood.

Wow that was long!!! I could have simply said it is a much finer needle.:lmao:

ETA: Hell gets through the filter, but ****y trap doesn't? What's up with that???:confused3

Madison was happy to report that the leprechaun had been in her classroom. However, the traps did not work. The class was very disappointed they did not catch him.:lmao: He had cut all the traps and turned over some desks, and left papers on the floor. :rotfl2: She said she didn't know leprechauns were evil.:lmao: He did however leave them each a button to wear.

So you have some of those kids!:lmao: Join the club! :rotfl: I think that karma bites every parent in the butt one time or another.:rotfl2:

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a nice day. The weather is so gloomy and rainy outside right now!! I was getting spoiled with the 60-70 degree temps that we were having this week.

Donna, those donuts looks SO good!!! yum!

Nicole, I'm sure you made the right decision! Maybe that company will remember you after you graduate.

Lyzziesmom, its so cute how much Emma likes Kenny. I remember how she was looking at him at Le Cellier when they were sitting next to eachother, it was so adorable. princess: You better watch out, I think that girl is gonna be a major flirt!!

I'm going to San Antonio this weekend with Steven, my sister and her BF. We're going to Fiesta Texas. It's not WDW but it will do.;) I need a mini vacation after all the craziness this week!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow...I do much better with one of those things too! Thanks for the explanation...I never knew exactly what it was. I never ask anyone to use it but at my primary care I guess they have it marked down on my notes. Maybe I will ask for one and explain that my veins roll when I'm at other places.
