Linda: I love the idea of giving Kenny a picture of his 4-wheeler. I've done that with the kids for larger gifts, or things that I wanted them to pick out for themselves. One year for Lyzzie's birthday she got dance lessons, and I made her a little card with a ballerina on it from my scrapbook supplies, it had a removable bookmark in a little slot and it said something about dance lessons. We've never done Xmas at WDW but we have sometimes traveled over Xmas. A couple times we just celebrated Xmas a week or so later - you get around the tree, have turkey & eggnog and Xmas music, and you'd never know it's the wrong day. We actually kind of love that because it extends the Xmas season. We just write a letter to Santa asking him to come on a different day, since he's so busy and all he really likes to do that.
HI MICHELE! An extra day at WDW, how fun! Even just going to DTD still gives you that "Disney feeling" doesn't it? I can't wait to hear all about it, have a safe trip back home!
Ashley: You have just the best DH!! He really should give lessons. Was there any occasion for the bag, or was it a "just because" gift? Those are the best! (I'd imagine... I've given many but can't remember getting any.)
DznyFan: Ok I was confused... it must have been a typo when you said those pics were from January 30th, did you mean December? That makes a lot more sense then!
I don't usually shop too much in WDW, I don't like to haul a lot of things back home. But I will pick up a few small items if I find something I really love. I've been eyeing those cool lamps at Morocco for a couple years now, I think I'll buy one this time but I'm afraid of it breaking on the way home!
Wow, I found a couple "crowd" pictures from our recent May trip. It looked a lot more crowded than it felt, but it still was a lot more people than I'd like. The lines were not long, but the streets felt crowded and as Lyzzie says, I strongly dislike that many people around.
