Linda - yep, Mama bear - I can relate. Although I don't have to worry any more about her only view being that of other people's backsides; and my God, I swear, some of those people teach their kids to be pushy, shovey, and rude!
yes...they sure do:rolleyes: thankfully it was pretty dead and Kenny about had the kiddie areas to himself... no lines for him AT ALL! it is like people just look ahead and don't even notice kids around since they're smaller than them:rolleyes: but I will let them know ;)

Linda, room decorations  Great idea!!
I'm going to ship a box down if we do fly...Kenny has to have a Christmas that is still believable that Santa is coming ;):rolleyes1 even still...it will make it more magical:cloud9: I'll probably bake a bunch of goodies for our room and stuff like that too...it is going to be so awesome!

We are in the car headed back to WDW. We checked out of Vero and it was supposed to rain on and off all day. Not much to do when you don't have a room to go back to. Our flight isn't until 8 tonight.

So we are going back to WDW. Blake, the boys and I have AP's but the others don't so a park is out. We will prob hang out at DTD or just go back to OKw and swim there. It will depend on the weather when we get there.

Matt loved surfing!!! They picked him up from the lobby. Since we met them at the beach to take pics they let him stay with us. The instructors were impressed that we came. They said parents never come to watch their kids...I think that's sad!

Tonight we will be headed home...last Friday night we had 2 pontoon boats to take us on a Wishes cruise. That was so amazing!!! We have so much to tell everyone!

Have a great one!!
I can't wait to hear more!! Have a safe trip Michele... I can't wait to see pix too!!

yep...he's a keeper
oh yes!! for sure.

Hi Michelle!

Ashley- Jeremiah is too sweet! If only Steven was as sweet.

Linda- You should decorate your window! Put some lights up. I've seen some really cute windows at POP.

great idea!!! Thanks Nicole!!! I know I'll take a few small trees...mickey wreath... oh this is gonna be fun!!:woohoo:

I'm sure Steven has done some pretty sweet things too hasn't he:love: :cloud9:

oh, that reminds me...I'll have to buy the mini gingerbread house for our room!!! I'm going to decorate our room, of coarse ;)Santa has to come to Poly too ;)
That's what we did. We brought lights and strung them on our patio at OKW, the friends that came with us brought a little 3" pink Disney Princess Christmas tree (their daughter's) that we put out in the dining room (we had a 2 bdrm at OKW), I had pre-purchased some Christmas presents for DD and DH and packed them (unwrapped), packed wrapping paper, and so forth. We had Christmas in our room - it was a small Christmas since we were at WDW, and Erin's 16th was 2 days later....

Michele - back to OKW?? Oh, I'm so jealous! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

great idea!!! I thought about just buying some toys at dtd and at the parks since he's such a POC fan...and take his helmet and a card w/a pix of his 4-wheeler for him to open...and Mike is getting Jimmie Johnson diecast cars...so, those are small...ahhh this is going to be AWESOME!! yes...being AT wdw has to be part of the holiday:cloud9:

That's exactly what I did that year! I picked up a couple things for her and DH at the parks or DTD, plus I think a gift card, and shopped for the friends that were with us; DH did the same for me - just shopped there. Although small, it was a great Christmas!

I used to Christmas shop for her there for probably the past 5 years before that - we'd go down the first or 2nd week of December, and I kept track of things she saw that she wanted but didn't get for herself - I would purchase them, have them sent back to the hotel, then pack it up in the suitcase - instant Christmas shopping!! She actually mentioned this past Christmas that she 'missed' her WDW Christmas, since 2006 was the first Christmas in years that we hadn't gone to WDW in December....

awww she missed her wdw Christmas:cloud9: . that is awesome.

I've always dreamed of going just to shop for Christmas!! that is what I did in Feb. for his birthday...Mike watched him and I went back and bought the Power Ranger stuff he liked. I'll probably have to grab some of that too! This is going to be so perfect! Maybe a few shirts or something too. it is too easy to shop there:scared: then I'll see stuff I HAVE to have:headache: oh no...I better start saving now! I'll have to start seeing what Christmas stuff to take! this is BAD...

Linda: I love the idea of giving Kenny a picture of his 4-wheeler. I've done that with the kids for larger gifts, or things that I wanted them to pick out for themselves. One year for Lyzzie's birthday she got dance lessons, and I made her a little card with a ballerina on it from my scrapbook supplies, it had a removable bookmark in a little slot and it said something about dance lessons. We've never done Xmas at WDW but we have sometimes traveled over Xmas. A couple times we just celebrated Xmas a week or so later - you get around the tree, have turkey & eggnog and Xmas music, and you'd never know it's the wrong day. We actually kind of love that because it extends the Xmas season. We just write a letter to Santa asking him to come on a different day, since he's so busy and all he really likes to do that. ;)

HI MICHELE! An extra day at WDW, how fun! Even just going to DTD still gives you that "Disney feeling" doesn't it? I can't wait to hear all about it, have a safe trip back home!

Ashley: You have just the best DH!! He really should give lessons. Was there any occasion for the bag, or was it a "just because" gift? Those are the best! (I'd imagine... I've given many but can't remember getting any.)

DznyFan: Ok I was confused... it must have been a typo when you said those pics were from January 30th, did you mean December? That makes a lot more sense then!

I don't usually shop too much in WDW, I don't like to haul a lot of things back home. But I will pick up a few small items if I find something I really love. I've been eyeing those cool lamps at Morocco for a couple years now, I think I'll buy one this time but I'm afraid of it breaking on the way home!

Wow, I found a couple "crowd" pictures from our recent May trip. It looked a lot more crowded than it felt, but it still was a lot more people than I'd like. The lines were not long, but the streets felt crowded and as Lyzzie says, I strongly dislike that many people around.

Lyzziesmom, it was "just because". The card said, "this is a small reminder that i love you very much!"

I don't like crowds either. but if we go in Dec, if it gets too crowded we can just go back to the poly.;)

Nicole- Happy Anniversary!

Nicole: It was pretty crowded, but also it had just started raining and people were leaving the park in droves. We were just on our way in. We wanted to ride the train to Toontown but I forgot it's closed in the rain, so we just took some pictures. Those pictures were actually only a few seconds apart, I don't know why one looks more crowded than the other. Weird! I don't know what's up with the focus, doesn't it look like I pasted Lyzzie into that first picture? Cracks me up every time I see it!

I'm crossing my fingers for a ring for you! (If of course that's what you want.) 6 years is a long time to be dating!

I had a surprise lunch date with the XBF today. I was getting ready to leave for lunch when I checked my phone and had a text from him that said, "Lunch?" so I called & we met at ZardaQ, a really popular BBQ place. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ but it's a big deal here in KC. I wasn't hungry and they ended up giving me the kids' meal because I didn't want any side dishes! I must admit the chicken fingers w/BBQ sauce were really tasty. We had a great time, and he was surprised & sad that it seemed to go by really fast and I had to get back to work. He also didn't care that I look like crap because I'm so tired I forgot to put on 1/2 my makeup this morning! He really seems to just like me for me. My coworker totally thinks we are going to end up together... I still have my doubts but it's looking good so far. I mean heck, even our maintenance man told me I look bad today but XBF didn't even care and still hugged me goodbye! :)

Ashley: That card is too sweet. I really hope I get to meet Jeremiah someday, he seems like a really great person.

That is a great idea....very cool. I don't mind celebrating on different days either...it is what you make it!

Tomorrow is me and Steven's 6th anniversary of dating. Hmmm.... will I get a ring??? :rotfl:
hmmmm does that mean you're hoping for one??? I bet he knows a certain sister at Tiffany that could get a good price:rolleyes1 Happy Anniversary Nicole:hug: and good luck!

:cloud9: that was sweet! exactly...if its too crowded....we can just hop on the monorail home:snooty:

Lyzziesmom - those crowds look really familiar...... that's about what it looked like when we went in May, too. I cant WAIT to start going back during the off season again!

great idea!!! and take his helmet and a card w/a pix of his 4-wheeler for him to open
Oh, you should do that!!!! That is SO much fun!!! We did that for the 16th B-day......

She was not a happy camper so to speak. She was confused about the license plate frame, and the book - which is an owner's manual. Then, when she looked in the book.....

she of course has to show it off.....

YES - we got her a car for her 16th birthday. (BAD parents!) But not just any car......
a 10 year old Chevy Cavalier with 120K miles on it. A/C didn't work, old fashioned crank windows, no power door locks, no CD player. We got a great deal - it had been traded in at a lot where I've done a LOT of business over the years, and they were going to send it to auction. Paid cash.

Lyzziesmom- That's sweet that XBF invited you out to lunch! I hope one day things can work out between you two! Yes, 6 years is an awful long time, my patience is about to run out.
