Thank you DznyFan! Not only did that image scrub ANY ideas of a quickie Christmas trip out of my mind forever, but it made me appreciate Labor Day week so much more. I can't breathe just looking at those pictures!

Those were all the way at the end of January? How long do they keep the Xmas decorations up?

The story behind those:
We were at the Studios that morning, and DH and I decided to go back to the room - Erin and a friend of hers who joined us during the trip wanted to see Lights, Motors, Action - if I recall, the next show was at 4:00, and we left the kids back at LMA around 2:00, then worked our way out of the park. I think the parade had just concluded a few minutes earlier as we hit that area of the park, but even so, it shouldn't have been THAT bad. He took shots in three different directions and it was a zoo as far as the eye could see. I have another of a MASS of people coming into the MK a couple days before that, at around 11:00 a.m.

I think they keep the Christmas decorations up a couple days after January 1st. We left on the 1st, so I don't know for sure how long.
Resort hopping during the Christmas season is wonderful! I love the different themed decor at the resorts, plus the 'big' stuff - like the gingerbread longhouse at the Poly, the carousel at the Beach Club, and of course the GIANT gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

Personally, I HATED the week between Christmas and New Years. I despise crowds, and that's one thing that will push my normally laid back personality over the edge. (particularly large crowds of rude people.) I won't ever go back during that week again. The highlight was seeing the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve. I have to admit, that was pretty darn cool.

I know we will be doing a little resort hopping, we are going to WCC, so we'll see WL decorations. We are going to Boma, so we'll see AKL's decorations. We just need to make a stop at the Grand Floridian. I need to see the gingerbread house and buy some cookies!

oh yes!!!

of course the GIANT gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

:cool1: :yay: :woohoo: I'm w/you there!! I'm usually very laid back as well..but that would be a time that would push me over the line too. Esp. when/if they do something to Kenny:mad: momma bear comes out! That is how Tues. was at opening...every one lined up for the mad dash to the ride they wanted...I was definitely on guard to tell someone off if they trampled too close to himpirate: it was nice that the CM's there went out of their way to recognize him though...he was seriously one of the few kids that young there...it was 99% teens and adults!

that's also why we're leaving Dec 26!!!

I just have to brag!!

There was just a knock on the door and it was UPS. I open the box and Jeremiah had sent me a beautiful Vera Bradley purse and it was gift wrapped with a little card:cloud9:

My husband is great to me!

Hello All!

Dznyfan, those pictures are just ridiculous! I wouldn't be able to handle it. Last year, we went Thanksgiving and the week after. The first couple of days were busy, but NOTHING like those pictures.

The decorations were beautiful, but they didn't have as many as in the past (from what I have read). AK was great though, because they had a ton of trees all decorated like various characters.

I know we will be doing a little resort hopping, we are going to WCC, so we'll see WL decorations. We are going to Boma, so we'll see AKL's decorations. We just need to make a stop at the Grand Floridian. I need to see the gingerbread house and buy some cookies!
oh, that reminds me...I'll have to buy the mini gingerbread house for our room!!! I'm going to decorate our room, of coarse ;)Santa has to come to Poly too ;)

Both of their trees (WL and AK) are so cool! I think we've been to all of the deluxes at Christmas.

Ashley - how sweet!

Linda - yep, Mama bear - I can relate. Although I don't have to worry any more about her only view being that of other people's backsides; and my God, I swear, some of those people teach their kids to be pushy, shovey, and rude!

We are in the car headed back to WDW. We checked out of Vero and it was supposed to rain on and off all day. Not much to do when you don't have a room to go back to. Our flight isn't until 8 tonight.

So we are going back to WDW. Blake, the boys and I have AP's but the others don't so a park is out. We will prob hang out at DTD or just go back to OKw and swim there. It will depend on the weather when we get there.

Matt loved surfing!!! They picked him up from the lobby. Since we met them at the beach to take pics they let him stay with us. The instructors were impressed that we came. They said parents never come to watch their kids...I think that's sad!

Tonight we will be headed home...last Friday night we had 2 pontoon boats to take us on a Wishes cruise. That was so amazing!!! We have so much to tell everyone!

Have a great one!!
