I LOVE March Madness!!!!

I'm working on them! Oklahoma is not very well represented unless you count Oral Roberts (who you ask??...an automatic bid from the mid continent league). Last year they were a 16 seed against Memphis. They did beat Kansas at Kansas this year and have jumped up to a 13 seed. My team is going to the NIT.

Good morning, everyone!! I believe I hit the snooze one time too many. I don't remember the 5:23am going off.
Anyway, the weather has been better here. I went grocery shopping yesterday afternoon and stocked up quite a bit. Maybe this will keep us from eating out so much.
I've prepared us a buffet with all the food I bought yesterday!! Enjoy!!

If you don't mind my asking who do you all use for car insurance? We are paying a ton right now and can save almost 50% with Progressive, but we don't know anyone that uses them. Any recommedations, ideas or suggestions?

What the heck is a bracket?

Lin, we have AAA for both auto and home. I recommend that you get a quote from different agencies. It will take some time out of your day, but in the end you will know your not paying too much. Insurance companies will vary in price from state to state. Example: In MI for the same 2 cars we have now we paid about $2000 a year (MI is a no fault state) Here in IL we pay a little less than $1000. You also get a bigger discount if you have both your auto and home through the same company. We got quotes from a few other Companies when we moved here and most were about $200 or more.

Also, we hated and had nothing but problems with AAA in Michigan (no fault state), but have had no problems with them here.

I had Progressive and they were fine. I didn't have to file a claim, so I can't comment on that, but as a company in general I didn't have any problems.

I did switch to Geico, because it saved me about $400 (over 6 months). I would have stayed with Progressive, but they don't price match.

Did you speak to your current company about lowering your rates? I had Nationwide before and told them I could save money elsewhere. They lowered my rates that day.

I have had AIG, Geico, Nationwide, and Progressive. If you need opinions on any of these I can help.

I have my first Mary Kay meeting tonight. (Don't make me go!) I just know they are going to hound me to sell, sell, sell. Why am I doing this again??? (Oh yeah that's right, to help a friend.)

I've always had State Farm for my insurance and never had a problem - I'm still tacked onto my parents' policy and we get a bunch of discounts because they have been with SF forever. An ex-BF of mine had Progressive a long time ago (maybe 12 years ago?) and he really liked it, he said they were very easy to work with.
