Lesa: don't worry, I didn't know what a bracket was either. I just assumed it was a sports thing from the context of the other posts. My mind is funny about sports, as soon as it realizes something is sports-related, it just shuts down.

Some photos from last week's visit to the museum, first the kids had to check out the maps and brochures:

They were very impressed by the lounge in the posh ladies' room and decided it would be a good time to take a nap:

Emma recognized Buddha from our many visits to our local Chinese restaurant, but she had never seen him so BIG:

That's all the pictures I took at the museum, but I did get a few good ones around the house in the past couple of weeks.

The girls pillowfighting. Note Emma's "scary hair." Also please note that despite appearances, the pillowfight was far from one-sided:

Next up -- yesterday's adventures at Girl Scout camp.

No email for me!:sad2:

Is it spring yet?

It is so nice today, I have ripped the plastic off the windows and opened up the house!:cool1: Spring is in the air, so are the flies!:scared:

I knew what a bracket was! I just wanted to know if you knew!:rolleyes1

Lesa...of course you knew what a bracket was.:thumbsup2 Just ask Michele if she thinks the Big 10 might be a little overrated this year?:rolleyes1 ;) Just trying to stir up a little March Madness talk(or maybe it was the Pac 10 that was overrated:confused: :rotfl: ).:stir:

We're going to camp!

During the Q&A meeting, Emma thought she had a question:

The "permatents" -- a little too spooky for me. I'll take a WDW resort instead, please.

Emma's favorite part -- sweeping up the leaves with a broom she found in the picnic area. Too bad she doesn't do this at home!

I just realized after looking at our pics from yesterday... Emma is wearing (one of) her (many) Minnie Mouse outfit(s), Lyzzie is wearing her Princess hat from WDW, and you can just barely see in the first and last picture but we all had on our Mickey crocs. Can anyone guess where our favorite place is??

Hi all!! Just wanted to drop in and say hi! I've been keeping up but been a slacker about posting lately. :)

Michele- Lilly is beautiful!!! Isn't it strange how things can be so different in the course of days? What a blessing and such cute feet.:thumbsup2 I'm glad your in-laws are good, the pictures of that garage fire were scary, good thing they weren't there. The MG....not so lucky.

Amber-The cherry blossom pictures are beautiful, I lived in Maryland about 12 years ago and worked in D.C. and always loved the cherry blossoms!!

Lyzziesmom-I love the look of your house, lots of natural light! And nice dining room table. Cute pictures of the girls!!

Lin-Neighbors kids running on the roof?! I think that still warrants a call to someone. I can imagine myself driving by and not really processing it for a few minutes! Hope work is good tonight!

Pozey- Hope you feel better!

2x2's-good to see you checking in, the weather is beautiful down here in TN too, over the weekend everyone came out of hibernation in our neighborhood. I didn't realize there were so many kids that live here and 1/2 of them ended up at our house decorating the driveway and road with sidewalk chalk. :thumbsup2

Hi Ash, Yolanda, Donna, Lesa, Linda, YM & everyone else!! Hope you are all having a great day.:woohoo:

Hey there Angela :) good to see ya!

I've been thinking about you. Mike has always said he wouldn't move further south than TN...so I've been thinking maybe Chattanooga wouldn't be a bad choice:rolleyes1 Its like 7 hrs from wdw, about 3 hrs from the coast, looks beautiful there... maybe an hour to Atlanta:confused3 are you familiar w/that area? I don't know much about TN...but it looks nice... about as far south in TN I could get ;)

Glad its nice enough for the boys to get out. Its supposed to be like 70's here in Columbus the next few days...but later in the week...they're calling for snow at home:eek: I've had enough of these winters!

Linda: Is Chattanooga really only 7 hours from WDW? I remember driving from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta once for a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip to Six Flags and it took me a lot longer than I had anticipated. For some reason I thought it would be about 8-10 hours but it was closer to 12 -- not counting the time we spent changing the oil at 4am due to a breakdown. *shudder* Anyway, that's 3 hours South of WDW but you get the idea.

Well guys I have some weird stuff going on, all I can think is that it must all be related to my new meds. I've been feeling very dehydrated and yet not thirsty, I've got a slightly dry scratchy throat but nothing that bothers me, my voice just sounds rusty. And then tonight I discovered that my ankles have disappeared! I'm retaining water something awful - it actually hurts the skin because my ankles are so swollen. Y'know how you can blow up a rubber glove? If I had a foot-shaped rubber glove & blew it up, it would look like my feet, they are almost round! I've been trying to drink a ton of water and I'm still getting rid of that normally, so I don't really know what's up. I'll have to see how it is in the morning and maybe call the nurse, if it's a side effect I think my Dr. should know about it, right?

That's the most excitement I've had lately -- I guess I should be thankful there have been no house fires or little old man run-ins! ;)

In other news, it was so nice out today that the kids played in the backyard until bedtime --- get this ---- without coats on! I had almost forgotten how nice it is to be able to just open the door and go outside or get in the car, without it being a 10-minute ordeal involving much yelling about coats and shoes and gloves and just do what I told you to, that's why!!

Linda I live in Knoxville which is 1 1/2 hours north of Chattanooga, it's a really neat city. It's about 3 hours from here to Atlanta so I think Chattanooga is about 1/2 that and it's 10.5 hours from Knoxville to Orlando (without kid stops!:rotfl: ) The weather is really nice but of course we've got some humidity in the summer, but we like it here (dh born and raised here). There is supposed to be a big dip in temperature here too on the weekend but we leave for Orlando on Thursday morning so I'll get to miss that!! :thumbsup2

Hi Angela! Nice to see you again! I didn't realize that your trip was coming up so soon - how time flies! Have a great time, I know you will!! I forgot to mention in my last post that we have vacationed in Gatlinburg twice: once when I was a pre-teen and again in my late teens/early 20s. I have very fond memories of the area, it was really nice -- if you could look past all the tourist traps but being from FL I was used to that. I don't know if Gatlinburg is anywhere near where you are but it's the only part of TN I've spent much time in.

Hi, everyone!!!
When I got home from work Gary and Nathan were ready to go out and work in the yard. I swept the front porch and cleaned the patio furniture. Spring is in the air!!! After the yard work and cleaning we took a walk through our woods; the path goes behind another house and connects to my sisters back yard. When I came in to make dinner, Nathan got out his 4-wheeler and took a few spins down the woods path and back.

2x2s:: Hi, Pin-cesss!!! Glad to see you posting!!! I'm glad the Tusker House isn't closing; I was planning on eating there in July!! I think I'll try the salmon this time....the chicken and green beans were delicious!!! Yummm!!!!!
I hope your day went well.:goodvibes

pozey:: I hope you get to feeling better, young man.

Amber:: The DC pictures are beautiful; what a perfect place for a Cliqueless mini-meet!!!
Good luck resolving the mother and mother-in law issues.

Nicole:: I'm glad you had a good time at the rodeo Saturday night. Is the weather getting pretty nice in Texas about now??
Have fun at your Mary Kay meeting.:)

Linda:: I think I read where Mike gave you the "go ahead" for Oct. '08!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: Nathan and Gary watched the race yesterday while I grocery shopped, put the groceries away and made supper. I had to feed them in the basement so that they wouldn't miss the end.

Lin:: Have fun at work. I'm like you; I tried the search functions and didn't find any change. Maybe they're not done totally upgrading??:confused3

Michele:: How is Miss Lilly doin'?:cutie: Out to buy a ball glove?? It's always something, isn't it?? So.....do you have YOUR brackets filled out?? :teeth: I don't keep up with basketball that much, but Gary and Nathan watch a game now and then.

lyzziesmom:: I love the pictures of the girls. The museum powder room one is hilarious!!! I'm happy to hear that lyzzie is excited about Girl Scout Camp, she'll probably have the time of her life!!!
Ooh, I just read about your swelling ankles, I think I would get in touch with the Doctor.

Angela:: Hi!!! That trip is coming up in just a few days!!!:woohoo: Are you all packed??

Well, it's time for me to go bully Nathan into taking his bath. Talk to you all later!!! :wave2:

Just wanted to stop by and say hello and goodnight. All this fresh air today has me a bit tired!:)

Hey guys!!!

Well, I had my treatment this morning and I have one unbelievable thing to say-----

The Snack Bandit Strikes Again!!!!

unreal!!!!

I ended up mentioning it to the one nurse who I am closest to. I get along with her really well and I just couldn't keep it in any more.
It's not the fact that he is taking the snacks-----he could sit there picnic style in front of everyone with the 30+ snacks----I could care less-----at least he'd be honest about it. What bothers me is HOW he goes about taking them. It's almost comically sad-----sneaky, shifty eyes----slyly sticking them in his pockets, then shoving them into his mom's purse, all the while looking around to see if anyone is watching. The guy is actually creeping me out a bit. Who can trust someone like that?? I know it's only snacks, but what else?? I am not the accusing type, but come on. The nurse said that he is constantly up and down and now she knows what he's up to. She said that the snacks are most likely a deduction for the hospital, but that comes out of our pockets, right?? I feel bad for saying something, but I just couldn't watch it anymore. Now it's up to them, whatever they decide. Was I wrong?? I'm doubting myself. I don't want to get anyone into trouble, but this is ridiculous.

Sorry, the the part where you are describing the snack bandit just cracks me up!:lmao: Honestly, I would have had to say something too. For it to happen once, well  But for him to do it receptively every time he goes that's just ridiculous!

Hi everyone!!!

Well today was a good day for me! My mom sent me a really nice care package with some of my allergy medicine, some cream for my rash (which is pretty much gone) some stationary, cute socks, a pug magnet, etc. but she also sent me a Coach purse! It is so adorable, I think it was so nice and thoughtful of her. I just couldn't believe it! Also, when I woke up today I called Jeremiah like I normally do. He told me to look down at my ankle and did I notice anything different? I was like, "UH, no. What was I walking in my sleep again and bumped it?" Well apparently my anklet that he got for me several years ago had broken and he found it in the living room. I didn't notice because I'm so used to it I didn't even feel it on anymore. Well he came home and had a jewelry box for me- a new anklet! Its gold with little hearts. Isn't my husband wonderful?

Tonight we decided to walk into World Gym just to see the prices. We have a gym here but its small and you have to go there very late, otherwise there are alot of people there. Well we went just to get prices but ended up getting a tour. Well I was very turned off by the sales guy, he was very pushy. After getting the tour he told us the price, which was way more than we thought it would be. We told him we'd talk about it and he started giving us this big speech about "Oh well people say that and never come back, blah blah blah you must not be very serious about your goals" He just kept making these little comments and I was trying very hard to contain myself :rolleyes1 He showed us this nursery that you can bring your kids to while you work out and he kept asking us these personal questions, like do we have kids, why not, are we trying? why aren't we trying? All the time, we would make comments about other gym members saying things like "He takes a little something to make him that big" I was thinking to myself, is this guy going to make comments about me to potential gym members if I'm there working out?:rolleyes1 Anyways I was soooo annoyed and just felt like he had a very condecending attitude. So, I don't think we'll be joining there :rolleyes1 I think we may just go back to our little gym here and save that money for something better!!!.

Here are some pictures that we took

closeup-1.jpg

I thought this one was hilarious

It was so warm Jeremiah got to wear shorts and a short sleeved shirt!

I take way too many pictures of my dog!! :rolleyes1 :cloud9:

ETA, Sorry the pics are so big, I tried to resize them but I guess it isnt working?

I looked up the case of the Snack Bandit and I found out that he is a legitimate crook. Shifty eyes, tries to divert attention but is painfully obvious while stealing various snack food varieties, especially cookies. I found a file photo of the suspect:

Athough conflicting reports have reported a suspect resembling the guy on the left in the following file photo.
