we headed to bed around 11:30 and watched the ball drop from there I didn't think Mike was going to make it that long. It was sad to see Dick Clark in the shape he was. I guess I didn't realize he had a stroke That's too bad.

Happy New Year to everyone!! I'm still here, I've been checking in periodically all weekend, but I've just been really busy. Which is funny, because I haven't really gotten anything done.

Saturday was a bit of a wasted day, I wasn't feeling too well after my adventures out on Friday night. Which weren't all that adventurous. We went out to a coworker's housewarming/her sister's birthday party, and from there went to see a band play. I guess this old body just can't handle being out late anymore. I slept 1/2 the day on Saturday. Yesterday the folks came over and we wallpapered the laundry room/kitchen extension. It looks much better! The plan is to try to finish today.

Last night we had pizza, and my folks came back over to eat and to play a few games. We played Whoonu and Conga, which are a couple of Lyzzie's Cranium games and are really fun. They left, and then it was just me & Lyzzie. (Karen: I am the Spelling Nazi, but since you are a teacher I'll have to defer to your experise on this one. Did I get the grammar correct there on "me & Lyzzie?") We played Disney SceneIt and Monopoly Here & Now, and then retired to my room just before the ball drop to watch it on my new tv. Since that was at 11pm our time, she wanted to try to make it 'till midnight so we read a couple chapters of Narnia and she conked out at 11:58! All in all, a very nice night.

Got a text message from the ex-BF (the recent one) this morning. He wished us a happy new year, and said he has a package for the girls but forgot to send it. I'm debating on whether I should tell him he can just drop it off. I was pretty surprised, just out of the blue like that.

I have to tell you about my latest Disney Nightmare!! I dreamed early this morning that I checked in to POFQ for the Cliqueless Convention (there were a bunch of newcomers who signed up at the last minute too) and the hotel was just awful! It was so beautiful outside, and my room was in a great location. BUT.... there was no furniture inside! Only 3 twin beds (???) and a box for a dresser. No tv, no pictures on the walls, nothing. Then I noticed a gift basket on the dresser, full of soaps & toiletries and two big chocolate eggs. One had my name on it, and one had a stranger's name! Then I saw the bathroom had someone's makeup all over the counter, a hairbrush & a toothbrush. I went back into the room & saw a suitcase & one of the beds was rumpled. Ew!! So I called the hotel & they said, "You should have known that we fill the room to capacity, so we double-booked you with a roommate at random." OH! I was SOOO mad! I gathered up all my stuff & my toddler and marched down to the front desk, ranting & raving that they'd better not do this to me, I paid full price and besides, who wants to room with a toddler?? Then I heard Emma yelling and I woke up. So... that was weird. Now I feel the need to look at POFQ pictures and reassure myself that it really will be beautiful! (AND not occupancy: 3!)

I wanted to catch up with everyone but this post is already way too long so I'll just say again... HAPPY 2007 TO THE CLIQUELESS CREW!! (and welcome back Ashley, we missed you!)

Well, there have been a couple of things that have changed in my life the past year and one is YOU ALL!!!!!! I feel so blessed to have found the Cliqueless Crew and find it amazing that this little machine has brought people living in different parts of the country together.
You guys have really been my rock during certain times, even though you may not realize it. I thank you for that!!!!

So, with that, I wish you all a wonderful New Year and like the guy in some skit that I can't seem to recall the origin said...........

I totally agree with you about how much our thread has become part of my life, so to speak. I'm getting sort of choked up and I have a wee bit of moisture in my eyes...so I'd better stop here.

I'm with you on moisture...I did make it home before midnight but my nephew was with us. I felt like I couldn't immediately turn the computer on and DIS.. They boys pulled some of the poppers and then I cleaned a bit. Finally got to come post a Happy New Year to all!

That really is a nightmare! POFQ is beautiful!!

My New Years resolution is to lose 19 lbs by mid-march!! I joined e-diets last night and Darin and I are going to do it together he's got about 30lbs to do. I had not been on the scale forever until yesterday but I weigh the most I've ever weighed (not including pregnancy). So that is my goal and to actually work out, I got a workout DVD Denise Austin where it's more dance than some hard core workout. And my new neighbor across the street asked me to walk with her 2 days a week when Ben is in Mothers Day Out. So wish me luck on that and ask me about it because I'm not good at finishing things I start!

lyzziesmom....you reminded me of the dream I had about our meet the other day. I could have remembered more if I had posted it that day. Anyway...I was on the deck of a cruise ship (this must be Linda's influence ) I was going to be meeting you guys later and I was running around the deck and jumped off and the ship took off without me. So I got a tugbaot to chase after the ship because I NEEDED to meet the cliqueless crew! That's all I remember...never did meet you guys!

Hi Angela....I read remember Dorian Grey...Oscar Wilde? Wouldn't it be cool if Dick Clark was able to do New Year's again next year and had improved even more! We'll keep our fingers crossed. Good luck with you new year resolutions...

Did any of you see Dick Clark last year? He has improved 100% over last year, that appearance was so sad I couldn't even watch. He looked & sounded so much better this year but it still was pretty sad. But then I think, he's older than my grandfather & stroke and all, I'd say he looks pretty good. They gave him a lot more airtime this year too. Maybe next year he'll be back to being the main host & make Seacrest hang out in the crowd! (toothy grin)

I just remembered I still have 1/2 a bag of taffy from the Main Street candy shop! I put it out in my candy bowl and it's still good. I'll have to get more NEXT MONTH!!!!

I almost forgot!! All you Convention-goers, I would like to start a cell-phone number list. PM me your cell numbers, and I will compile a list and PM or email it to all of you. We will need them for the trip! One month from tomorrow guys!!

Linda, I forgot to tell you... for Lyzzie's 7th Bday we did a surprise WDW trip. I told her 3 weeks before the trip, but I did NOT tell her that her dad & grandparents were coming. They met us there on our 2nd day, at AK and she didn't know why we were "leaving" at lunchtime... until we got near the entrance and she saw them. It was totally worth all the lying to her just to see how surprised she was! I definitely think you should wait to tell Kenny.

Having a quiet day around here. Actually too quiet. I put a roast on for dinner but Briana has gone to work and now Blake and the boys have gone to a friend's house to watch the Rose Bowl. I think that means I am eating alone. Secretly I am It has been so great seeing family this past week but I have to go back to work tomorrow and a few hours of ME time is just what the doctor ordered

Linda....so glad that Kenny is due home today. As crazy as mine make me I wouldn't want them gone for too long.

Isn't this sad, I am alone in the house and all I can think about is cleaning out the linen closet, the junk drawer in the kitchen and taking down the tree.

Ashley- I'm sorry about your grandpa. My dad's mom is always getting me and my sister "different" gifts and I feel bad when I don't like them. She gave me men's gloves and some makeup. I liked the makeup but couldn't wear the gloves so I gave them to my dad.

2X- Awww!!! That's how I feel about everyone hear too. That's why I'm depressed about not being able to meet some of the cliqueless crew on the convention. Well there's always next year! So when do we start planning for 2008?

Well, I read my court papers and they say I have to give the XH 30 days notice of my vacations...so ...I had to give him written notice today!! I didn't even think of that oops!! Oh well, he has it. Now that changes my plans of trying to wait to tell Kenny about our trip b/c I DON'T want his dad telling him about it!! He wouldn't see his dad again til Thursday, so I went ahead and told him today. I really didn't want to...but at the same time its a big relief knowing I don't have to keep it in anymore

Hope everyone is feeling better, ready to start their resolutions and ready to go back to work tomorrow, if you have too well, I better go spend some more time w/Kenny before his bedtime. He loved his new bike Have a great evening everybody!!
