I'm not sure if you passed by it or not? Did you stay on I-64 or did you drive down I-57 to I-24? If you stayed on I-57 you passed by Marion, Il, that exit takes you to C'dale about 12 miles west of there....geesh.

You spelled Mt. Vernon correctly!!! :thumbsup2 After the typos I've been having the last few days, I'm not going to criticize anyone's spelling....ever again. :goodvibes
.

Oh...thanks Donna...I can't remember how we went. I just recall seeing a Macy's from the highway. I know what you mean about the typos...I edit half of what I type. Have fun shopping. :thumbsup2

Kenny is having a great day...he's so happy thanks to you guys :rotfl: Master Kenny!! They're walking out the door...I better get scooting :wave2: Gotta go!!! Have a good one everybody

2x, don't get me started on Raglan Road! I'm a true Irish girl and the food was heavely! Add in an authentic Irish pub singer/band, decor that was delivered straight from Ireland and the best bread pudding in the world and you have the perfect combination. I wrote about it in my trippie if you want a better description; the link is in my signature.

I'm going to get my hair done some night this week. I decided that I didn't want to risk being late to work today.

Hope Luca feels better!

Linda, nice to hear from you! Tell Kenny hey from me too!

I just got my mail today and wanted to say that I got cards from April, Lyzziesmom, and Angela today! Your pictures are all so cute!

I missed so much since yesterday afternoon! Sorry but I'm not even going to attempt to catch up on 4 or so pages.

Lyzzie spent the night at her friend's house and stayed all afternoon today, so that helped ease the sting of her gifts not arriving in time. They came this morning .... and of course I was in my bathrobe & hair towel when I answered the door and discovered that my postman is CUTE! He seemed amused that I was so flustered. Lyzzie's grandpa sent the boxes insured, which meant they needed a signature, hence the delay. So far Lyzzie has opened yesterday's & today's Hanukkah gifts without Emma noticing what she was doing (thank goodness for the Wiggles!). She got a Bratz doll - I think they're ugly and refuse to buy them for her - and High School Musical DVD.

Got some wrapping & last-minute shopping done while Lyzzie was gone. I had bought Lyzzie a Fly Pen computer thingy at Target on clearance a couple months ago, and now they have it at Sam's for $2 more, but it's a bonus pack that comes with about $30 worth of extra stuff! So I ran around last evening buying a new one at Sam's & returning the other one. Lyzzie's grandparents also bought her some cartridges & paper for it, so I had to rewrap those this morning since the one I bought is from Santa & I didn't want to ruin the surprise, since it's her "big" Santa gift.

Went to mom's house today & had some leftover steak for lunch. Had to call her later & tell her to throw it out, I think it was bad! I am just now recovering from a horrible tummy problem. Ugh.

Gotta run - yesterday was payday so today is bill-paying day. Must pay off Disney trip!!

Hi to everyone! Oh yeah, I recieved Angela, DznyFan, and April's cards. I love them all!!

Hey Chicas!! Just got back from dinner with my parents and most of her siblings their grown kids etc. We went to this place called Abuleo's and I got chili relleno....yummy! It was a nightmare getting out of the shopping center it's in, the traffic didn't move for at least 5 minutes, Christmas shopping gridlock. That is why I love the internet it's my shopping friend! :teeth: The only down side to this evening was Ben pushing out a present for me at the restraunt!! :furious: I try to remember that one day I will look back on this and laugh, I think I need a :drinking1 . Also stopped by Wally World and got some stuff to make biscuits and gravy for my Sunday School class it's my week to bring snack. So stop by in the morning if your hungry!!

I forgot to say that I got Lin's card the other day and have not had a quiet moment to read your Christmas letter yet, hopefully tonight!! I also got April's card and Cindy's too. Cindy thanks for taking the time to write the sweet note inside! :grouphug:

Lyzziemom glad that Lyzzies presents came today!! I'm with you I think those Bratz dolls are a little frightening  and the baby ones look like slutty toddlers?! I don't get it but I analyze things to much. :goodvibes So the postman is cute huh? If you dated the postman do you get a discount on stamps? :rotfl2: Bad steak for lunch? ugh. Those are the kind of things that make me think I could go veg, of course that will never happen but I do think about it!

I would love to go to Raglan Road, maybe in March when my parents are with us they can keep the boys and we can go. My MIL's family is irish Bailey's and she was born on St. Patricks day and guessed what they named her? You will never guess.....................................................that's right Patrick of course she goes by Pat. Anyway not that any of that matters but I'd really like to go!

Linda your son is too funny!! Him and Ben together would be hysterical. Make sure you tell him I said he's the bomb!! :cheer2:

Hey Donna, YM, Amber, Nicole, Yoland and anyone else I missed hope you all had a great day!!

P.S. Yolanda your card has not gone out but will be out on Monday!!

We, or should I say I, am in the middle of making a batch of cookies. I swear I don't know why I bother, I think I'm going to start just buying them from the store. I have so many good memories of making cookies with my grandma & mom as a kid, and I think of it as good mother/daughter time. Not so with my children. Emma licks everything in sight and she put her stool down on my foot (and then stood on it) at least four times. It hurts so much. Lyzzie refuses to help and ends up getting yelled at, and when she does help, all she does is complain that it's too hard or too messy or too gross; or she will tell me she'll help, and then I'm left standing there waiting for her while she takes her sweet time. I mean really, who takes 4 minutes to cut the top off a bag of chocolate chips?? Anyway, the upshot is the kids are watching the Wiggles again, and I am left doing all the work.

These cookies better taste delicious.

PS: Linda, tell Kenny he ROCKS!!

Forgot I was going to tell you guys... the kids were watching the Wiggles Christmas episode today. You know how they are from Australia? (The Wiggles, not my kids.) Anyway, it cracks me up to no end when they start talking about how "In some parts of the world, it's COLD and WINTERY at Christmas time! There is SNOW on the ground and you have to wear your hat and mittens, and you can't have a nice Christmas BARBEQUE!!" And they say it like it's so flippin' unbelievable, it's just too funny!!

Hi everyone!

Lyzziesmom-That's too funny about the cute postman! That's great Lyzzie's presents came in today. I don't like Bratz dolls either! Does anyone remember a while back when some woman on the news said her DD's doll had on a thong? :scared1: They had to replace all the doll's undies.

YM- I am going to put elephants or clowns on my cake in class Monday. I can't wait to see how it turns out! :goodvibes

I got Angela's and April's cards today. Thanks!

I got most of my Christmas shopping done! :cool1: I just have to get my dad some jeans and that should be it. That reminds me, I need to get to wrapping everything.

Hi, everyone!!! Just got back from doing some shopping. Didn't get much, just my Mom and MIL some elastic-waist jeans. :teeth:

Today I received Angela's and lyzziesmom's cards. They are great, girls!!! Love the pictures!!!

Nathan's game didn't go too badly today. They scored 8 points today; I think the score was 8-10. Pretty darned good for their team!! :thumbsup2

I'm watching Elf on network TV tonight. I love the line:: We stick to the four basic food groups; candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Cracks me up for some reason!!

lyzziesmom:: That's such a relief that Lyzzie's Hanukkah presents were delivered...by a cute postman even!!! :faint:
Sounds like you have your hands full baking those cookies,Chica!! Wish we could all come help you. :goodvibes

How about a little drink to toast the holidays? Gotta love cookie baking, shopping and all the parties!!!! Is it February yet???!!!

wine.jpg

Cheers!!!

Donna: thanks for the drink, I needed that! I was thinking... have any of you ever done the drinking around the monorail thing? The drinking around the world seems a bit much, but I think a drink at each monorail stop sounds divine. Something to think about for Feb. ;)

Nicole: I haven't undressed Lyzzie's Bratz doll but I'd be upset too if it was wearing a thong! Lyzzie would probably think it's gross.

My bed is covered with the last of the gifts to wrap, mostly stocking stuffers and I think Santa won't wrap those this year. He gets lazy every year and a few things end up with just ribbons tied around them. He also forgot to buy the girls any clothes this year (but did get me a nice scarf!)

And now it's time for the Cliqueless Question of the Day (inspired by DonnaLeah):

What is your favorite adult beverage?

I am a sucker for a good raspberry daiquiri. Pretty much any froufrou drink is good in my book. I also really enjoy a toasted almond, but I must remember to stop at one because my tummy doesn't like them nearly as much as my tongue does.

:yay: :yay:
The QOD!!!! I think my favorite mixed drink has to be a Mai Tai. I do love a good Rose wine, though.

I really should get my presents wrapped, too.

Oh, I'm watching the part of Elf where they sing to get the sled to fly!! I love that part.

Me too.

Lyzziesmom, I'm glad Lyzzies presents came. I can't stand the Bratz dolls; they creep me out.

QOD: My favorite is Captain Morgan's and coke (tastes like vanilla coke), but I also like anything that looks pretty in a glass.

I did a little more shopping today and Mike's watch box came. It is so pretty in person.

Have a great night everyone. I'm off to do more Weffriddles. :wave2:

Good evening cliqueless friends...

I actually went out and got the mail myself today to check for cards. :teeth: I had one from April(thank you), lyzziesmom (very cute card and a sweet picture), and Angela (gotta love those boys...great picture)!

Donna our game was 26-10 (we lost again)...although the team was actually late getting there so I think someone told the boys that they "officially" won. :teeth: Probably not the best idea. This team looked like it might have some 13 year olds on it. We are playing 9-10 league...but it's hard to say because I do have a tall one myself (younger DS).

lyzziesmom...we did a rice krispie treat Christmas tree(decorated) and I ended up mostly irritated at my boys and the darn phone kept ringing. :teeth:

Well, I'm going to go switch to my laptop as my ds can't stand to be without me for one moment. :teeth:

of QOD...a vanilla coke...and remember vanilla is usually 30% alcohol. :rotfl: If I did have an adult beverage I would probably have a pina colada.

oh boy...Kenny will be rolling again in the morning :smooth: all day it was "I'm the master...I'm the man" :rotfl2: we went to the funeral, then to the Columbus Zoo for military night. The place is covered w/lights....it was our first time going this time of year. We had a great time. Kenny LOVES animals! Then to Wal Mart and can you believe they had NO Air Buddies dvd's :sad2: Guess I'll have to try our other Wal Mart tomorrow

yay for Lyzzies pkg. arriving... and to a cute mailman :woohoo: ;) Maybe he's SINGLE??? :confused3 :teeth: Kenny loves helping me cook and bake. Thankfully he's a neat freak like me :rolleyes1 Earlier Kenny was here w/me and he looks and says "That is a pix of Emma" as if he know's her from school or something :goodvibes soon enough ;)... he just doesn't know it yet!

DRINK... probably Long Beach Iced Tea...I don't drink often at all...but when I do..I don't mess around :teeth:

Yay for Nathans team doing so well :cheer2: Mike likes Jimmie Johnson too :cool1:

Amber... awww that's so sweet about the cards..you'll have to tell him we said thank you :sunny:

oh... the pix of Connor and Ben are so cute :cloud9: I bet Kenny and Ben would be so funny together!!

well...Mike already headed to bed 15 minutes ago...so I better get going :rolleyes1 Have a great evening everybody :wave2:

Amber: I used to love Captain Morgan, but then my ex-not-husband (Emma's dad, you may remember the long story) drank it every day, literally by the gallon. Now I can not even stomach the smell of it, which is too bad because it was one of my favorites.

Donna: I love mai tai's too! Falls under the froufrou category. Used to go to a place in FL called the Mai-Kai. Never went for dinner (was a luau-type dinner show, tres spendy) but frequented the bar for happy hour with some work friends. HUGE mai tai's served in real coconuts! Yummy!

Linda: Hi backatcha!

YM: Nice to see I'm not the only one who wants to strangle my kids while baking. I sent them both to bed at 7pm tonight, and they were happy to go!! The poor things are exhausted; Lyzzie from her sleepover and Emma because I kept her up late shopping last night and she did not sleep in this morning as planned.

Linda: that's so funny about Kenny. He knows Emma's picture! I'm sure they will have a blast in Feb... I can just imagine them trying to boss each other around! Emma is so funny, she will argue about something and then just when you start to get frustrated she will just say "okie" and smile. Gets me every time.

Hey there chiquitas and ????what do you call a male chiquita?? Beats me---hey there Pozey!!

Just got back from a longer day than expected and I still don't have all of the shopping done. I did accomplish pretty much today, though. I ended up at that dreaded mall that the skylight crashed down upon, but I'm happy to report that there were no drastic "falling outs" today, unless you count the youngin's wearing too tight of jeans. :teeth:

You guys -----I need your help-------my mind is boggled and I keep forgetting to call WDW to pay the rest of my Feb. trip. It's just the simple task of calling and giving them my credit card number----but I keep losing track of the date. I have until the 19th, but I neeeeed to do it before I forget again. Please remind me.
Note to self, note to self, note to self.
Thanks bunches, luvs.

I saw Charlotte's Web today. It was very good, for those who are going to go and see it. I have always loved that story and of course ended up with tears streaming down my face at the end. I had a little trouble at first with the real spider thing, but soon got past that. Julia Roberts does Charlotte's voice and actually makes her calming and soothing and kind of ........ahem......pretty. Wilbur is a little punkin piggy!!! Way cute.

I ran over to my mom and dad's to purposely pick up my Elf movie because I had it over there from last year and guess what I forgot?? Yep, you guessed it-----walked out without it. :sad2: I really don't know where my head is sometimes.

Another holiday movie that I love is Christmas Vacation!!!!!

QOD----I'm a Cosmo girl through and through!!!!! But like just about anything. I had my first Lapu Lapu in October. yum. A drink around the monorail sounds heavenly to me!!!!!!
YM----does this mean you will sing the Pina Colada song with me since Jill went MIA??
