Sounds like you had a good family day yesterday. My plans didn't exactly "jel" as I had hoped. Nobody wanted to tell me where they wanted to eat, so I just drove home from the Mall (55 miles). About 10:00 DH decided he was hungry and drove to Taco Bell.


DznyFan:: Your Turtle Krawl at the Gurgling Suitcase sounds interesting. It's not too late to change your mind about February.


YourMajesty:: I think the mall with the Macy's that you saw was the one in Fairview Hts, right before my Target exit.

Hi everyone!!

Whew, you guys have been posting away this weekend!!!

THANK YOU so much April, DznyFan, Angela & Lin!! I got your cards Friday & Saturday. Mine are in the mailbox to go out tomorrow..

Speaking of cheesecake, last week we went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. (You guys have heard how much its my fav restaurant..) Well they opened a new one thats closer to us, thats in a mall. Well we had a horrible experience there and since I knew that it just opened I decided not to speak to a manager, but I did write to corporate just to let them know, I didn't think anything would come of it. Well I just got in the mail a $25 gift certificate from them! I'll give them a couple weeks to get in the swing of things and then I'll go use it!

Thanks for your suggestions with music!! It made me think of a country band I do like, the Dixie Chicks. YM: My mom LOVES Phantom. Whenever I'm driving with her she blasts it. If you think of any other suggestions anybody, send them my way!!

Today I'm off to get a pedicure and Jeremiah's getting a haircut, and I'm also going to the Dollar store. I'll check in later!!

And Survivor finale tonight! Just reminding anybody who watches it.

So what's the first thing I have to do after using the bathroom? Get on here and tell you all I'm home.

I'm kind of tired. We went for the gusto yesterday beings it was our last day and then we had to get up reeaaallly early to get packed up and drive to the airport to sit and wait for two hours for a flight that was running late. . . . you get the picture. It's been a long day but I've got some stories/reports to tell and some pictures to share. I'm trying to get caught up with my emails. Hopefully I'll be back this way a little later.

We had too much fun, went by way to quick and was way too short for me but, we're already planning our next trip back (not including February)

I'm a happy camper right now because I just saved $90 on my February airfare!!!

Lin - I made the tea mix, my family LOVED it, but I backed off on the orange and added more tea mix. It's all jarred up and I have a batch left for us, too. Good recipe!

Maybe I'll try this since this is basically what a cosmo is----I always have them make my cosmos with either citron or mandarin, so maybe that and cranberry. It'll probably be a bit....um....cheaper, too.

Ash----Cheesecake GC!!! Not bad!!!! I ate there a couple of weeks ago and I am craving the salad that I had again. Not to mention the Godiva cheesecake, which I was good and DIDN'T have. Doesn't mean I can't crave it though.

Linda---do you believe that I had my mom bring me my copy of Elf that I had left last Christmas and it was on VHS???? I swear, I'm more Wilma-ized than I care to even admit sometimes. I told her to keep it and I ran to Target and picked it up on DVD----on sale for $10!!!!! That was a unexpected plus.
The St. Louis Zoo has the Zoo Lights too, but I doubt I'll have time anymore to go and see them. I pass by the zoo every night on the way home and have yet to go into it and see them. I've been saying this for several years now.

DznyFan------I got your link to Erin's play photos. How fun!!!!! They look like they're having such a great time!! The sets and costumes are gorgeous. Do they do their own?? Do they do their own makeup, or does a m/u artist come in?? I can so see Erin as Belle!!! Thanks for sharing.

I had to laugh when you said your party was "peachy". This is one of my favorite phrases----when someone asks me how I am, I, many times either say "just peachy" or "just ducky" (my dad used to always say this) I know, strange birds. No pun.



I went to the St. Louis Symphony holiday concert/childrens' choir today. It was really nice, however, the last half of it was a .......get this.......a sing along. Do you find that odd??.....I find that odd. I felt like I didn't pay that kind of money to hear the lady behind me sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" at the top of her lungs......off key.
To me, that's kind of like going to the Nutcracker and me tryin' out my moves.
At least I got to sit right in front of the CELLOS!!!!!


I guess it's time for bed. I'm not really tired right now, but I need to start winding it down. I have my Pirate's DVD all ready to go for tomorrow. The nurses are going to wonder about my perma-grin.

Howdy everyone. Not feeling too typative today but wanted to check in and let you all know I haven't fallen in. (Often when I can't find Lyzzie she is in the "library" reading a book, and I will ask if she has fallen in.) Having a mondo pain day today, must be the weather change. 68 yesterday, 40 today - high of 40 actually, meaning for 2 minutes in the afternoon.

Saw Charlotte's Web, I did tear up a bit towards the end but the spider still creeped me out. She had eyes all over the top of her head!! Emma went with my folks to Union Station to see the Santa Train, but the line was 3 blocks long so they just looked from afar & went inside to see the model trains. She liked it just as much. Mom kept sending me picture mail on my phone while I was in the movie - she just got a new phone and I guess she likes it but didn't think it would interrupt us?

Nicole: how was the TSO? I have a hard enough time just getting frosting to stay on a cake, I can't imagine elephants or clowns. Would love photos!!

We have another Elf fan... today Lyzzie was putting in a movie and Emma picked up the Elf DVD case and said "Watch Bud-DY!"

2x: good luck tomorrow. With the Captain to keep you company, I'm sure the time will fly by. Glad you got the trip paid off! We must have booked at the same time, mine is also due the 19th. Paid it online yesterday, went to check today but couldn't connect to the site.

Donna: did you get a Ding? I keep watching, but I don't think I'm going to get a better rate. $90 is a huge savings!!

Hi everyone! Just checking in. I've been staying up waaaay too late lately. But that'll stop once I have that long car ride, starting Thursday!

2xcited- good luck with your treatment. We're leaving for Florida Thursday and should be getting in Friday around 4 or 5 I think. I'm really excited! Not sure when we are leaving FL since Jeremiah didn't get the final word from his boss yet. I'm still going to try and check in though!!

I really want to go see Charlotte's Web on Christmas Day! Jeremiah & I were going to see it this weekend, but I was talking to my Aunt (she's Jeremiah's age, and my other aunt is 3 years older than me so it's more like a sister relationship) and we decided we all are going to go together. I'm really looking forward to it!!

I'm really happy its a short week for us! And Jeremiah's birthday is Wednesday. I'm making him a brownie cake instead of a regular one, because thats what he requested! Silly boy, who doesn't want a birthday cake on their birthday? I buy them even when its not a special occasion.

OK, question #1.....is anybody having trouble with the Disboards lately? It's been acting rather flaky to say the least. Every time I go to send a post I have to refresh before I am able to send the post. The last two evenings, last night was 10ish, the system has been down or something? I can get into other websites, just not the Dis!!!


About my airfare.....I booked a couple of months ago on Southwest for $159 one way and $109 coming back. I happened to check yesterday and the airfare had gone down to $89 each way. Not super great, but better than I had. Anyway, I have a $90 credit as of right now.


2x2s:: Hugs for your treatments today!! I can't begin to tell you how much I'm hoping and praying for these treatments to be just what you need !! I think it was Jill a while back that said she would make you a magic potion if she could; well, I think all of us will be stirring up batches for you today...with some pixie dust added for good measure!!

I am tired this morning. I watched Suvivor (I don't think the right person one). I had a hard time falling asleep, so I watched the Food Network Gingerbread challenge. I love watching those competitions. Maybe one day you'll be in one Nicole!

I decided to cut my hair yesterday. It was shoulder length, now it's at my chin. Mike likes it this length, but I have to fight so that it doesn't turn into a mushroom puff.
