I'm not gone, I'm here!! But not for long, just checking in so I won't be so behind in the morning.

I'm getting a new(er) computer at work!! The IT guy found an unused computer in the office and is reconfiguring it for me until an actual new one gets ordered. I'm so happy, hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow.

Can't wait to see everyone's cards! So far the only card I've received is from Emma. It's my favorite.

Jeremiah had to GET his own computer so he could go on one.

For all that asked, yep we are going home to Florida for Christmas. We originally were thinking about not going down, because we didn't want to put all those miles on the new car and it would take up 4 days of our vacation. But I decided I couldn't go a Christmas without my family so we are going. We originally were going to leave Friday morning, the 22nd and get in the 23rd, and leave Tuesday the 26th. Then we decided to leave Thursday so we could get in Friday, since that is when most of the family was getting in. While Jeremiah was asking for the time off, his boss asked if he could go to West Palm Tuesday/Wedneday or Wednesday/Thursday to get some training, so that would be after Christmas, so he would have Friday-Tuesday to spend with everyone and then the evenings to spend with them when he gets home.

I'm also pretty excited because my Grandmother offered her condo that is vacant for us to stay at. YAY for not having to spend the money on a hotel or stay at my moms on my old twin bed. I don't think we would fit very well!!

Yep...that was our solution too. We now have a laptop and a desktop.

That sounds like a very nice trip for you and Jeremiah! Can't beat a free condo to stay in for a little privacy and how much cheaper can you get than free! Don't you just love it when plans fall into to place like that.

Good morning Cliqueless Crew. This morning I'm bringing a basket of muffins out to the poolside of the Poly. I've ordered a variety of drinks for us; coffee, Coke, chocolate milk,orange juice and hot cocoa. I think they will arrive any minute...everyone grab a chair!!!

Tonight is Nathan's Cub Scout Pack Christmas Party. The Pack is adopting a family for Christmas and our Den had to buy some items for the kids. Thank goodness I got that shopping done yesterday.

I got Nathan Guitar Heroes and Guitar Heroes II wrapped at work yesterday. He's also getting Flatout 2 & NBA Live '07 for PS2, a wireless controller for PS2, some POTC action figures( ), a set of Goosebumps books, and quite a few other books that were on his list. I figure the books help to offset the PlayStation stuff.

2x2...I'm starting to cross my fingers for treatment Monday. 8 whole hours, wow! You know, you could spend your time with Johnny, take a portable DVD player and you have time to watch both pirate movies! That should make the time pass quickly in a pleasant way!!!


Ashley.... Yeah for getting to go home for Christmas!

Tomorrow Madison has a little skit that her brownie troop is doing for an assisted living home. They are also singing some Christmas songs. She has been practicing it all week. It is too darn cute watching her practice her lines. She stands real tall and clears her throat before she starts.

Yesterday I woke up not feeling well. I was really dizzy and a nasty headache so I spent most of the day sleeping on the couch. Brittany came home from school and let Grace outside, she forgot to let her back in. Dog+outside+melted snow=lots of mud! I asked Brittany to take her to the bathroom and hose her paws off. I heard lots of banging and shouting at the dog. Then Madison came down and said "Mom, were trying our best, but it's not good!" I went up to check the damage, I had mud, water and dog hair all over the bathroom. Not to mention it smelled like a wet smelly dog.

I asked a couple of days ago what you guys thought about Madison's Christmas party with her troop. Maybe I missed the answer or maybe ya'll put me on you ignore list Would you buy a gift for all 3 leaders (leader and 2 co-leaders)? If so about how much would you spend on each?

This leads me to another question. Who all do you buy for when it comes to the kids teachers, bus drivers, coaches, etc? And how much do you spend on each?

I usually just buy for the teachers and I spend about $25 on a gift card. I don't buy for Brittany's teachers anymore because there are just too darn many of them.

I'll check back in to see what yummy food Donna has in store for us. Meanwhile here's a nice hot cup of coffee!

I would just buy a gift for the Leader; it gets too crazy buying for everyone!IMO
I also just buy for the teacher. My sister buys for teacher, bus driver, head cook, cheerleader sponsors etc.!! I'd go nuts doing all of that!!!

Good morning all!! Yummy muffins, my coffee is brewing downstairs right now. Lesa I would buy something for the leader for sure. I work with kids at church and last night I got some neat things, one is homemade peppermint bark (I've got that recipe too!) and it melts in your mouth it's so good, I also got a cone shaped bag with the fixings for hot chocolate in it (picture mix, topped with choc chips, topped with marshmellows). So maybe you could do something like that. The peppermint bark receipe makes a lot and this mom just split it up and gave it out.

Lesa, I would probably get each leader a small gift. I wouldn't spend much and each gift would be similar (same item, different color, something like that).

We watched Elf last night. It was the first time either of us had seen it. It is just too funny.
Tomorrow, I have to brave the stores and complete my Christmas shopping. I am so scared.
I am waiting on a watch box I bought from Disneyshopping to arrive (it's the black one with Mickey heads on the top). I want to get Mike a watch this weekend to go in it (he collects watches). I hope the box makes it here in time (but Disney has really gone downhill, so I'm not holding my breath).

2X2S - Mr. Robert Austin... hmmm.... now, I know this is a long shot (but I like to think optimistically) but just in case Mr. Austin does happen to take your room at POFQ, perhaps he resembles Mr. Depp, is single, and independently wealthy. (he of course, just likes staying at the POFQ over the GF because of the ambiance and his Louisiana 'roots'.) Just a thought.

Pozey - YAY for you - getting to go to the Fiesta Bowl!! You guys will have a great time, I'm sure!

Lesa - oooh, yuk! Dog and melted snow/mud DON'T mix! Top it off with eau de wet dog, and ewwwww. I imagine it did wonders for your headache. Hope you're feeling better!

Angela - would you be so kind as to PM me with your Peppermint Bark? I have done a trial batch, and it came out OK, but I'd like to see yours just out of curiosity.

Angela- Don't fret! I thought my son Keagan was going to be in diapers until he was 16! He just wasn't interested in stopping long enough to go to the toilet. However, one day he just up and told me he wanted to wear big boy underwear and from that day on the diapers were gone.

Today is accounting day. I've got to do all the financial statements for November for work, IRS filings, various reports for headquarters. I think I'd rather chew off my right arm At least I can sit still and crank it out. Tomorrow is my day off, so I think my son and I will go see a movie or something fun! Have a great day!
