Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 3

QOD: pumpkin pie!! I don't eat a lot of the other 'holiday' treats that are around - like fudge or divinity - they're just too sweet and rich. Or, if the pumpkin pie isn't available, just give me the tub of Cool Whip and a spoon.

Cool Whip with a spoon! How could I have forgotten that one? Especially vanilla Cool Whip, it's the best when it's still frozen. Have you ever actually looked at how many "servings" are in a tub of Cool Whip? It's something like 74 - completely ridiculous! In my house, it's more like 5.

I think.... 2?

I have had to disown my stepson.

I got an email from him giving a rundown of their whirlwind trip to WDW over the weekend (he took his GF for her first ever trip) and he said:

"There are better places to go for a lot cheaper that are not surrounded by so many tourists and kids. You guys should consider spending your points at other locations…maybe you can use it to get a hotel near here."

Now.... that's coming from the kid who has used our DVC points no less than five or six times for trips he's taken there on his own.
Blasphemy.

OH, the horror!!

Um, yeah there ARE other places to go with less tourists and kids. They are called boring. That's why I don't go there.

Just want to take a few minutes to pixiedust: "pop" in and say hi. . . so. . .

HI!! :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

We've been busy, busy today.

I did get my pictures uploaded onto the computer last night so that I can share them today with you all. That takes a little time, let me tell ya'. :faint: There's GOT to be an easier way but I just don't know it yet. I'm pretty computer litterate but not when it comes to these digital photos. I'm still pretty new at it. But needless to say they're all uploaded now to photobucket and this time (thanks to Ashley and Lyzziesmom for helping me learn how to use it) we took advantage of Photopass when I thought about it. So PM me if you'd like to see our photopass pics.

Anyway, today we had to run to the bank and the Post Office where I picked up Christmas cards from Nicole, DznyFan, DonnaLeah, Lyzziesmom and Lin!! Thank you so much. I mailed all of mine from Disney so you could all have a little Pixiedust this holiday season! Then we had to go to the kennel and pick up the cat and bring her home. Then turn around and run up to Fountain Inn (about 50 minutes away) to get the dog from his kennel. This is where he goes for training and they can handle my Kujo eerrrr, I mean Tucker. :teeth: We had to make two stops up in Greenville run back home to bring the dog home. Go get some groceries
grocerycart.gif
back in the house. Then I had to run back out for the chiropractor's appt. Come back home, throw some dinner together because tonight Steven and I have a meeting back up in Greenville. :faint:

I am dying to share my trip with you guys!!! :hyper: You know, people who actually "GET IT". I mean I've had people say, how'd you're trip go and I try to explain it's hard to hide my excitement!! but they're just like, "Oh, that's nice." Two of the people have never been to Disney, just the local theme parks or Six Flags. And we all know they are NOT the same. Can't even compare!!
nonono.gif

I'm just having some post~trip blues :bored:
sad.gif
and I need to talk it out with people who can sympathise with me.

Well, my timer just went off for dinner!! Really hope some of you guys are on tonight so we can "chat" and share Disney

stories.

OK, talk to you all soon as I'm running out the door again. . .
panic.gif
this is how I'm feeling with all of this running today.

April - I can't wait to hear your stories! I am watching the Travel channel and they had DL on and now DAK. :( I want to go back! :(

I recieved cards from Lyzziesmom, Yolanda, 2X, and Donna. I love the pics Donna and Lyzziesmom!

I hit the Christmas card jackpot today (not as much as April though). Got cards from Donna (nice to finally see you!), 2x (Lyzzie & I are still laughing over your card - great choice!) and Yolanda. I wish I had time to try everyone's recipes before Christmas. Maybe work will let us out at lunchtime like they did the day before Thanksgiving.

April, I sent you a PM for the Photopass link. I can't wait to hear your WDW stories! I totally understand about people who "get it." I am always getting weird looks and comments like "you like Disney just a little, huh?" when they hear that I am going AGAIN, or that I went three times in the last year and really want an annual pass. They are like, "But you live in Kansas, why do you need an annual pass? Just go to Worlds of Fun." NOT the same!! Lyzzie and I got a big kick out of your flaming-head man, I know the feeling!

Lyzzie's grandma emailed me today, they are sending her ANOTHER package of gifts! This time they used DHL and sent it to my mom's house, I guess they think it'll come faster that way? Anyway, I started to realize that Lyzzie will have so much more than Emma, so I did a "quick" WalMart run at lunch today to pick up a few extra little things for Emma from Santa. (So much for being done with wrapping.) They had a bunch of Disney outfits on clearance - I couldn't choose so I got her three! They are 3- and 4-piece outfits, one has a hat & sweater, one has a poncho. So cute! I figure she can wear them in Feb. This year we were at Universal in early March and I remember it being cool in the morning & evening (I even had to buy Lyzzie a sweater because we forgot hers in the hotel room!) but warm during the day - we wore our swimsuits most of the day. I'm hoping for similar weather in Feb, it sure beats the heat! You may remember me saying I don't handle the heat/humidity combo well. I'll never know how I survived 15 years living in So.FL.

I've got a batch of Chex Mix in the oven & the house smells so good!

Hi puppies, I'm home. :teeth:

The treatment went really well today. Thank you for all of your P&PD!!!! It actually didn't take as long---more like six hours because I was doing fine so they did not have to slow the IV down. My sister came and sat with me for a bit, so we chatted. I felt bad having her be there----I'm so used to doing medical stuff like this, but she said it was a break for her ----without the kiddos and she could actually have "adult" conversation. :lmao: I started to get groggy due to the pre-med of benadryl, so she left and I watched a little of ELF and then dozed off. Then I browsed through some magazines until it was time to unhook me. So, Mr. Depp will have to wait for this evening. :rolleyes1

I'm still a little tired, so I think I must get to sleep pretty early tonight. I will try to catch up with everyone in the morning.

Have a good night and thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully I will start feeling and seeing a difference soon.

WHAT :confused3 :thumbsup2 :sad2: I just can't believe it... :faint:

You can adopt me and Kenny :teeth: :cloud9:

2x: SO glad to hear the treatment went well!! I can understand what your sister was saying, as much as we mothers love the little tykes, it's lovely to have a break from them now & then, no matter where it may be. I'm sure she enjoyed keeping you company. Now let's just hope the prayers & pixie dust work as well for the results as they did for the administration of the treatment!

Remember how a little while ago I said my house smelled nice? Well, not any more. I have a drain in my laundry room, and once in a while water will come up through it when I wash a load of clothes. This time, so much water came up that it went into the kitchen, and it brought up a bunch of black mud. It's really gross and smells horrible! My dad said to just stuff a towel into it until he can come cap it off in a few days. I hope that works, because otherwise washing the clothes makes such a mess, I have to dirty 1/2 a load of towels. Ugh!!

2x :grouphug: so glad your treatment went well! :cheer2: Kenny sends big hugs  I would have had to come visit too...it is always nice knowing there is someone there with you and there for you. The support I guess ;) So glad it went well for you.

Thanks everyone for the cards...they are all so cute and adorable! Lesa...Kenny was loving what was in yours ;) My sister is supposed to be emailing you about some AG stuff too :thumbsup2 I probably will too.

Lyzziesmom :crazy2: have to tell your dad to cap that stuff quick! ewww!
you made your cards...wow...those are awesome!

well...this morning was interesting... we have about 40 guys that install out in the field all over the state. we get a call that one of our guys hasn't heard from his co-worker he's worked w/for the past few years. Something is obviously wrong and everyone is really worried since no one has gotten a call. He has seizures, can't drive...what happened to him :confused3 well, he called his family and evidentally....he was in jail :sad2: at least he's ok :teeth:

favorite holiday dessert...hmmmm Mike says dirty dessert "oreo cookie dessert" yummmm! I'm not a big dessert eater. Always too full for dessert...but I really like chocolate peanut butter cream pie :cloud9:

Evening everyone!

2x, so glad the treatment went well. I'll keep praying that it was successful! Glad that you and your sis got to catch up a little!

Lyzziesmom, my grandparents have their own sewer and that happens to their washer every now and again...only it backs up into the bathtub in the extra bathroom. It did it once while I was taking a shower (seperate shower) and I could not figure out where the smell was coming from! Until I got out of the shower...it was so disgusting! I feel for you girl!!

Have you guys tried the Peppermint Whipped Cream? It is SOOOO good, and today I found Candy Cane Hersheys Kisses! Too Die For!

Finished up stocking stuff for Chris but am still at a loss as to what to get my Nana and Papa, we decided to get Granny and Pop an Outback gift card because they love it, but Nana and Papa don't eat out much and I have no ideas!!!!

I invented a Peppermint Bark recipe today because I couldn't find the chips for the one that was posted on here. I put a layer of Semi-Sweet Chocolate on the bottom, let it cool, then added a layer of almond bark, let it cool, then added a layer of almond bark with the candy cane hersheys kisses melted into it to the top of that, and then crumbled candy cane. I'm so excited to try some tomorrow!

Well, I know its early but here are your Virtual Christmas Presents!!!

Now you can all deck your car out Disney Style! I don't know why some are so much bigger than others but they are all window clings.

I hope I didn't leave anyone out! I did a mental checklist but I've eaten a lot of chocolate!

Hello to my cliqueless friends. Just wanted to drop by tonight to say a quick hello. I thought it was going to be nice to have the boys out all week but after today I decided they could have gone to school a couple more days. :teeth: ;) We had appointments at the allergy clinic and they were less than thrilled. :furious: We muddled our way through those and then my oldest decided to jump from the center island in the kitchen to the bar cabinet and bruised up his leg. (this is NOT typical behavior for him...he is not a dare devil).

This happened 30 mintues before basketball camp. I went ahead and sent him and he hobbled his way through. He was knocked down at camp and hit his head on the floor. I told my DH he's not going to be able to walk in the am. :sad2:

Good news for the day.... I got all the cards to my cliqueless friends in the mail today! :cheer2: :cheer2: I also received a card from Yolanda (very lovely) 2xcited ( :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ), Donnaleah (very pretty card and a sweet picture :goodvibes ) Nicole (very fun :thumbsup2 )...and a couple of yummy recipes! I forgot my recipe...just felt good to get the card out.

OK....you guys are not going to believe this but I forgot the most important item of the day...PAY OFF MY TRIP. I'm planning on doing that first thing in the am. :yay: :yay: :yay:

2xcited...I'm so glad to hear things went well. :goodvibes Hope you rested well. :cloud9:

I didn't personalize very much tonight but will catch up a little in the am. I did enjoy my first cyber Christmas present...thanks Lin! :dance3:

Good morning Crew!!! I have no idea what to have for breakfast this morning. :sad2: Excuse me a moment while I did through my cupboards and 'frig. :teeth: .................OK. I think I found some jelly donuts!!! :thumbsup2 They were just delivered...FRESH!!!

dssrt_01284_t.jpg

Since YourMajesty was the last to post last night, I decided to fix her favorite!! :teeth:

Hope you all enjoy! :goodvibes

Have a Totally Awesome Tuesday!!!! :dance3:

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post last night. I read the posts as I was cooking supper; then I had to finish some shopping.
Yesterday I received cards from 2x2s, Lesa & Yolanda! I just love opening all the cards from the Cliqueless Crew........so much fun!!!

Amber:: You hair sounds cute!! I usually tell my stylist to just thin the bottom, but she usually cuts a couple of inches off. I have given up on letting it grow.

Nicole:: Sorry that you missed part of the TSO concert. Glad you enjoyed it despite the location of your seats. Sometimes the acoustics are better higher up. :)
YAYY!!! You passed your classes!!! Do you get some time out of school now?

pozey:: Your excursion to view the Christmas light sounds like fun! We have a small display in our town's park...pretty neat for here. The inflatables website looked fantastic!!!

Linda:: That Kenny is such a hoot!!! Shall we have him wear a special button in February? I may have to be on the lookout for just the perfect one.
I saw Air Buddies advertised on TV, it looks cute. We may have to rent it.

DznyFan:: I can not believe your DSS said that in an email!!! :faint: I guess you can save all your DVC points for yourself now. :teeth:

April:: I'm going to check out your PhotoPass Pics in just a minute or two. Thanks for sending them to me!!! Sounds like you had a super busy day yesterday!!

2x2s:: I'm so happy the treatments went well for you! :goodvibes Hopefully they will produce fantastic results as well!!! :grouphug: Got your card in the mail...Love it!!! :rotfl2:

lyzziesmom:: Sorry about your plumbing/pipes mishap. I'm sure all of your yummy baking will get the odors out in a jiffy!!
How sweet that Emma fell asleep in your lap. :goodvibes I can't begin to tell you how long it's been since Nathan fell asleep on my lap. Too long I'm afraid.

Lin:: Thank you for the virtual present!! The castle window cling is perfect!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

YourMajesty:: I'm sorry your day off with the boys was kind of...stressful. Hope your DS wakes up feeling okay. Thank goodness Nathan has school until Thursday, then DH is off for vacation too.

Michele:: Where have you been lately? Missed you!!!

Well, better run!!!
Have a great day everyone!!! :sunny:

Good Morning Everyone!

2x2s, it's good to hear that your treatment went well.

DznyFan, I can't believe he would say that and where are these "other" places he speaks of? I'm not aware of any place to vacation other than WDW. :teeth:

April, I know how you feel. I was so sad when I got back (still am a little), but I am planning another trip so it helps. No one around here "gets" Disney either. I try to explain, but they look at me like I'm crazy. One guy at work said that he would never go back because there's too much to do. :confused3

I did some more shopping last night. I still have a couple more things to get and then I'm done (I think). I made chocolate covered pretzels and white chocolate popcorn last night. The popcorn is seriously good. :cloud9: Very easy too. I just melted white chocolate, popped butter popcorn and mixed. I added red and green sprinkles for color. I don't like white chocolate and I love this.

I better go and do some work. Talk to you soon

Good morning chiquas and chico!

Oh - we will. Watch - in about a year he'll call up whining about his job and how he needs a trip to Walt Disney World. And... his dad will have me call and book him a room.

I'm afraid I do not know of these "other places". :confused3 He actually suggested we use our points at a resort near CEDAR POINT. (we don't have a hurling smiley, do we?) Also suggested Chicago. Chicago's great, but when we trade points, we have to trade week for week with the exchange company.

This is what kills me about this kid: He has used our points for trips on his own, and he will come down and meet up with us for a few days. He usually doesn't pay for his meals (he lets his Dad pick up the bill), we don't get a 'Thank You', and he usually doesn't have to pay for any park passes. (whole other story...) He's a 27 (almost 28) year old chemical engineer. You know what kind of money that kid is bringin' in??? And even this trip - he only paid for his meals and for his plane tickets - and he still complains!
Now the other side is this: Last December during our trip, he met up with us for a couple days, then left. Later that same day, a friend of Erin's from theatre flew down for a few days. He's a little older than Erin (22, and suspectedly gay), does pretty well for himself (works for the family company, drives a Mustang GT convertible - new), is a Disney lover, but never been to WDW before. He not only thanked us multiple times, and of course bought his own meals, but also took all of us (two families of three and himself) out to a NICE dinner at one of the table service restaurants. He still talks about that trip.

I have decided that apparently I am the carrier of the Disney gene. DD has it, I have it, DSS does not have it. Common denominator of DSS and DD - Dad. (who does love Disney, though)

Lin - thanks for the virtual Christmas gift - made my day!

2X - I hope you're feeling better this morning, and yay for the treatment going well!!

Donna - thank you for a wonderful breakfast once again!

YM - one day home and you're ready to send them back to school!! :grouphug: I pray for strength to get you through the remainder of winter break.

Lyzziesmom - hope you get your stinky problem resolved soon - yuk!! More Hanukkah presents for Lyzzie?? Sounds like you did good shopping for Emma yesterday, though.

Later - guys!

Lin:: Those Gifts are darling!!

Well, last night I came home and posted this big 'ol long post. Spent about 20 mins. on it. Then all of a sudden the computer starts acting up and blinking at me :confused3 and then an error box pops up and tells me that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and will have to close. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. :badpc: So, I hurry up and try and copy what I posted before it went into total lockdown but it was no use. I lost it all!! I was so mad!! :badpc: So, I started all over again. . . not with quite as long a post but a post explaining the "lost" post and how I was just going to bed. Darnit :furious: if it didn't happen again!!!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: So, I just went to bed!!

2x2s:: So glad the treatments went well for you!! Hang in there you are in my thoughts and prayers!!

So, last night Steven and I went to this nutritional seminar because we're kind of in to learning that kind of stuff. . . but we don't always follow it. . . It was not suitable for children. Now I don't have children so maybe my opinion is skewed a bit but I do not believe that everything is for children. There are some things where children should be left at home. Especially some things that people have to pay for to attend (like a seminar where you really have to pay attention NOT like MVMCP which is made for fun and laughter and children. Seminars at 7pm-10pm on a school night are not.). So, this woman brings her two sons who are 8-11ish. I'm seated next to one of them. ---I thought it was odd that the kids were there but hey, if they're well behaved, I can deal with it.---- Well, the seminar starts and so do the kids. . . kicking the table, bumping the table, scraping the chairs on the floor. . . then the kid sitting next to me starts scribbling ALL OVER his arm with a black gel pen. I don't mean drawing, I mean scribbling big black marks all over his hand and drawing and coloring in bracelets on his arm. That was bad enough and distracting but THEN he starts licking it ALL off!! And smearing it all over his hands and arm and all over the white table. That was just gross and very distracting but that's not all folks. . . then he starts digging for gold in his nose!!! I mean just digging. . . and I was ready to vomit
puke.gif
then out comes a big bloody booger and he proceeds to wipe it on his cream colored corurouys!! I just was ready to come out of my seat and the mom is just oblivious to all of this!! And Steven just keeps telling me to "ignore" it! Easy for him to say. We were sitting on an angle and the woman was standing off to the right where this kid was right in my line of vision!! Then we had an opportunity to go up and get some samples of the food that was prepared and the kid went in front of me w/ out washing his hands!! And, his mom didn't prepare his plate for him!! Mr. Bloody Fingers was handling the tongs to get his own food. :crazy2: I was so grossed out I just passed on the food. And I was really aggravated because we paid for this and couldn't even try the food!! So that was my night last night. I'm sorry but I had to get that off my chest. I feel much better now.

Well, I'll be back in a few. . . I need to get some laundry in the wash and get the breakfast dishes washed up and then I'll be back and share some trip stories.

Dznyfan... I sound more like Erins friend for sure. when someone does something for me, or Kenny I try to do anything I can to show my appreciation :cloud9: what to do about Mike... you could adopt him as well :teeth: I think we're going to have to seriously talk about dvc!! Cedar Point is about 50 miles from me... been there 100's of times since its so close so I'm just so much more impressed w/Disney. there is no magic or special feeling there...Disney is so much more than just parks... Erin would love another little brother right ;)

April...your pix are so awesome :cheer2: I like the one close up of you guys in front of the Tree of Life the best :smooth:

Donna...yes, Kenny is such a hoot. He loves the attention of coarse ;)
I'm sure he'd go crazy over a button! I will probably let him celebrate his birthday a little since it will be so close too... ok... that is probably just another excuse to splurge some while on vacation :rolleyes1 why is is I can always justify spending $ at/on Disney  I think it's an addiction. I'm so glad Mike is understanding ...

I saw that Mickey suite pix that was posted... that is my bedding!!! :cloud9:

2x... my cha cha slide cd IS Radio Disney :rotfl2: "Move It"... go figure :rolleyes1
