So, Chris and I have been praying really hard for God to either shut the "move to Orlando" door or open it wide open so we know that is the direction we should go. His job has been our biggest concern as he has only been with his company for a little over a year and they operate 3-4 person offices that are pretty spread out. Anyway, he came home yesterday and said that the System Sales person in Orlando is leaving in January. The job itself isn't posted yet but will be in the near future. The biggest problem is that his current position is Field Service Coordinator and he has no sales experience; and we don't plan to move until this summer. But, I think its a pretty big sign. Say a prayer if you can spare one!
Hope 2x is feeling okay today! Hey to everyone else!!!!
Whoa, I musta' missed something with the move to Orlando details! You lucky girl you. That is my dream! I just feel so energized and alive there. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm at Disney but we did spend quite a bit of time off property this time out in the surrounding areas and I still loved it.
It does concern me how busy and big it's getting, though. Yesterday in the grocery store I ran into a guy that had his hometown location on his name tag. Orlando, FL. So, I struck up a conversation with him of how we just came back and how I would love, love, LOVE to move there and he was like,
"No you don't! I lived there all my life and I can tell you it's much better here." And then he went on and on about the crowds of people, the traffic, the tourists, the prices because of the tourists. How there's nothing to do there except the theme parks and you get tired of those. . . .
I don't know though, I sure would like to give it a try.
Anyway on with the story. . . .
On Wednesday we did not get up bright and early

to head to MGM per my trusty Tour Guide Mike's prediction that it would be a good day. This is unusual for me as I like to be at the parks at opening. We generally have much to see and do and quite frankly, I don't like fighting crowds and standing in lines. I like to get there early, do the attractions and then wonder the parks. At this point, after I've done all the attractions that we like to do I don't mind the crowds.

But, beings this trip my doctor (chiropractor) gave me strict orders to stay away from thrill rides that would whip my neck around I thought, "Ehhh, what the hey. We'll actually relax on this trip and NOT go commando

." I really don't go commando but we're usually there with a group of 5 and you have to be organized and have a touring plan.
Anyway, since the major attractions at MGM are RnR and ToT and I couldn't do them, we slept in and took our time. We really were kind of aimless at MGM and it was fun. We ended up over by the muppets and it was pretty empty. I took this picture by setting the timer on the camera and sitting it on a nearby trashcan. There was no one in this area to even walk in front of us. Oddly, we didn't do Muppets while we were over there. I can't remember the last time I actually did Muppets.
We were hungry so we headed over to ABC Commisary but we weren't really in the mood for that type of food. Truth is, I really wanted PIZZA!!

But, PizzaPlanet didn't open until 11AM and it was only 10:30. No problem, we headed over to the Great Movie Ride and took the movie tour. This is always a favorite and I see new details each time I do this ride. We had a really great tour guide and I still jump when the vehicle is carjacked.
By the time the ride was over it was time for lunch at PizzaPlanet! ToyStory is one of our favorite movies because it was the first Disney movie we saw as a couple. Also
(and this is kind of silly but) when my nephew who lives out of state was like 3 he started calling me Jessie all by himself.

I have no idea why but he just came up to me and said in a real southern draw because he was born and raised in S.C. until two years ago when he moved to Florida, "Hey Jessie, where's your horse Bullseye?" And he wasn't being "smart" or sarcastic. He was really into cowboys and indians and his favorite character was Woody who he carried around constantly. So, his red headed aunt was his real life Jessie. Anyway, because of that I really like ToyStory.
This was the first time we used our
Disney Dining Plan. It really was easy and I think Mr. Steven was impressed. We got a ton of food and it really was worth it for us!! We ate everything. Just call us little piggies!

The pizza really hit the spot and we took the cookies with us for snacks later.
Then we headed over to the Making of Narnia set. I thought that was pretty cool and something that we wouldn't normally do if I could have rode the other rides. When we came out it had started to rain and we didn't have any ponchos or anything. Plus, our feet were really hurting. We decided that we really should have bought new shoes before our trip as ours were kind of stretched/worn out and rubbing our heals and such in the wrong places.
So, we left MGM and took off to find a New Balance. We ended all the way up in Winter Park. Making several stops in between. We took some back roads and really got to see the area. I still liked it! I love how the outlets and shopping centers seem like little communities. They're just so pretty!
We were getting pretty close in time to our ressies in Marrakesh. We were going to stop back at the room but we just ran out of time so we headed straight for Epcot. We practically ran back to Morraco. We really cut it close but it didn't take us long to be seated.
We didn't care for Marrakesh at all. I especially didn't like it. I guess I'm just not into Morrocan food. But really, I just thought it was gross. Also, we encountered pretty bad service. First off, I think our server forgot to put our order in because two tables who came in after us were served before us. And, our server was generally no where to be found. We watched some tables around us have their servers practically dancing for them but our server was MIA most of the time. Sadly, it wasn't just us. It was like all of his tables. It was just bad, the food the service and so Morraco became our catch phrase to explain anything bad that happened on our trip. We'd say something like, "Great, it's Morroco!" or "Just like Morroco." We just weren't impressed with it and we definately won't be going back . . . ever.
After Morroco we wandered the worlds. I was looking for a counter service because I was hungry. We ended up in Germany (not for counter service) but for a glass of wine. I had the best glass of wine and ended up buying a bottle to bring home. It's called P.J. Valckenberg. It's a Riesling. It's yummy! Now, to just find it around here when this one's gone. When we came outside we were able to catch Germany's story teller:
I love hearing the stories of how Christmas is celebrated in other countries/lands. She was really good.
After Germany we wandered over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends
We were excited to see this newest addition to the "living" Seas.
If you haven't been, they've redone the entrance to the Seas to look like you're walking on a boardwalk on a beach:
And then you go underwater and you can look up and see boat bottoms:
Then you get in shells:
After visiting Nemo and Crush --first time I did Turtle Talk and it was AWESOME!!-- we went over to the Electric Umbrella so I could get a burger from the counter service over there.
We were getting pretty tired by this time as it was getting late so we made our way back to the room for the night.
Tomorrow: Animal Kingdom!!
I'll do that one later.
