Oop, there you are Donna!!! I know, it's freezing here too!!! I think I may have to help myself to a cinnamon roll now. Thanks, cupcake.

Hi Michele---feel better. Yes, I think we all need this trip!!

April----you get healthy too!!!!

I MUST leave now!!!!

Bye!!

eta-----Donna---I just read you are moving your MIL today???? Yikes---I have two words for you----hat and gloves!!!! (three words if you count gloves as plural:lmao: )
Stay warm, sista!!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna and Lyzziesmom!

2X- and Lyzziesmom- Your speeding ticket stories are too funny! I have one almost got a ticket story-

A few years ago, I was driving to the mall and was passing by a high school. Well, of course the speed limit was 20 mph and I think I was going 30-35mph. This person in the other lane flashed his brights at me and I wondered why he did that to me.... there was a cop up ahead. The cop walks out and motions for me to pull up in the driveway. When I got up there I was near tears (I wasn't faking!) and he told me to drive slower and let me go! And normally when you speed in a school zone you get a ticket no matter what!

Yolanda- I'm glad Keagan had a great bday party!

Lyzziesmom- Congratulations on 2000 posts!:cool1:  :yay: :cheer2:

2X- Did you see any cars you liked? Get to cleaning and packing!:rotfl:

Michele- I hope you're feeling better! What a crazy person to put that in your yard!:sad2:

Have a great day everyone!

Pozey----what ya been up to this weekend?? Cook anything yummy??
How sweet of Mrs. P. to point out the cute girls for you.
Count me in the group who has never seen nor heard of Dickie Roberts. Should this be on the "must see" list??
Hi 2x2s!! :wave2:

Been doing typical "man" stuff this weekend!! :rotfl: :cool2:

I bought a new DVD/Surround Sound system on Friday. Most of the day Saturday was spent hooking everything up. Everything is now hooked up and we are watching Superman Returns. The house is ROCKING!! :cool2: :cool1:

I don't think I would say the movie "Dickie Roberts" is a "must see"........but it's not a bad movie.

I just noticed that I passed the 2,000 post mark... a while back, it looks like. I'm sure most of it was here, I just love talking to you guys! (even if nobody's reading it.)
Congrats on 2000!! Woo Hoo!!:cool1: :yay:

Pozey...I think ya'll have a knack for winning! I was just thinking about the boys Derby cars. My oldest decided not to do scouts this year. How's the swimming going?
Swimming is going well. They have had 2 meets this year. Chase has yet to lose an individual race (his team has placed 2nd in each relay). Colton has moved up to swim in the 11 - 12 year old division (even though he won't turn 11 until April). He's won most of his races, but he had two 3rd place finishes last week. He was kind of shocked and disappointed.

We have another meet in Claremore coming up next Tuesday.

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!! Tasty!!

I got my shopping done yesterday. I found a gigantic Liz tote that I'm going to use as my carry-on; it has lot of pockets for storage. I got my make-up amd conned the salesgirl out of a free sample of moisturizer (sorry, I ain't paying $106 for it!!) A new black Valentine shirt at Old Navy, jammies and a bra at Kohl's.

I'm going to feel quite shabby on this trip! I usually wear old tshirts and pack old stuff, just in case the luggage gets lost or something, and I just bring sample sizes of toiletries & makeup. I did get a couple new things for this trip, but mostly I will be slummin' it in the comfy old duds.

My folks are coming over again to put up some crown molding, but I had to send them back to the store because they bought the wrong color. My kitchen is all earth-tones, sort of an "old-world" look is what I'm going for, and they bought WHITE molding. There's not a lick of white anywhere in that room! So... off to Home Depot they went, with instructions to pick up some Mickey Heads while there. My dad freaked out when I asked for Alien Green paint chips - he said, "What room are you planning to paint Alien Green?" :lmao: Hopefully they will pick up enough to spare me a trip!

2x: Lyzzie liked your "Lemony Snickers" almost-typo! I think the movie was pretty good, I'm not sure because Emma and the folks kept interrupting me so I didn't really get to watch more than a few minutes at a time. Lyzzie got tired of me asking "What did I miss?" But from what I saw, it was very cute.

Your no-seat-belts story reminded me of when I was about 4 and my dad had this big brown conversion van. I sat in the back, and I guess the middle seats must have been either bucket seats or were taken out (?) because I just remember him coming to a sudden stop and I rolled all the way up to the front and bumped against the console! It must have been pretty traumatic, because I still sort of remember it. Seat belts? What are those for?? My mom said that my dad's mom used to drive around with the babies in a DRESSER DRAWER on the seat to keep them from rolling around!! Can you just imagine it?

Thanks for the cinnamon rolls Donna, they look much better than my "free breakfast!" I think I'm going to go make some now, even though it's almost lunchtime.

Oh......and the "non typical" man stuff......made some chocolate chip muffins yesterday. Good stuff!!

Enjoy

Have a great day everyone!

Nicole...you did get lucky with that ticket. My friend in high school was speeding through one and had to go to court!

I get them and can't ever get out of one. I couldn't make myself cry to save my life. The only one I ever got out of was because my friend knew the cop so he voided it for me. I was one of these kids that didn't like to show emotion. In my old age I'm able to whip the tears up a little better.:sad1:

Great job for the boys. Swimming is such a good choice for physical fitness..what made you guys decide to to that route?

lyzziesmom...I've just been thinking about how comfortable I want to be...or do I want to look presentable.:rotfl: I can tell you one thing unless I change my mind I won't have a fancy bag. I usually take this lovely green backpack from Walmart....can't seem to tear myself aways from it (even without the kids). My sister has a SAK backpack but I don't think it will hold all my junk for the plane? No coach or Liz tote for me.;) :rolleyes1

Ok, ya got me with that one! :rotfl2:

sewer...we aim to please around here...any other request?;)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I'm still feeling rough this morning. Hopefully, by this afternoon I'll be feeling better. I only have 4 days left. But, one good thing about not being employed yet is that I'll have time to pack tomorrow and Tuesday for our trip.

Feel better miss April.:flower3:

Good Morning all!!

By the time I came in I could barely catch my breath, I had to use my inhaler and sometimes ( like today) it will cause me to just shake like crazy!

I still have to go into the attic and get my summer clothes, try things on and get started packing! I can't wait. I really need this!

My DS has trouble with cold air too. He doesn't like to take the albuterol for the jitteriness. I got a script for xoepenex which is a little better. Hope you are feeling and breathing better.

I hope everyone has a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Sunday!!

Thanks Donna...exactly what I had this am! Stay warm...sorry you are having to move your MIL in the freezing cold.:sad2:

Who, me??:rolleyes1

Shhh, don't tell anyone I'm here (including myself).:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I made a promise to myself---no DISING until I get things done.

Have fun at your dad's birthday dinner. Later, chickie.

Hey 2xcited dinner was yummy...with homemade cherry pie...crust and all.

Boy...I'm getting sleepy after the large dinner. :cloud9: :cloud9: I'll check back in a few....................

I'm taking a break.

The music of choice for my cleaning extravaganza------vintage Donna Summers and Neil Diamond.:lmao: :thumbsup2 Good thing the blinds are closed because I was gettin' down with my bad self earlier.:dance3: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: But, my sweatpants are too long and flared so I kept tripping over them. Just call me Grace.:3dglasses

Look at the tickers!!!!!!!! (not mine, of course:sad2: ) 4 days!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Gotta take the trash out before it gets dark, because ya know---the freaks come out at night. Boy, am I in rare '70's and '80's music form today, or what??:hippie: :hippie:

later dudes and dudettes

I doesn't usually affect me that badly. Today was just a bad one! I'm sur it didn't help that I was so angry about the mess that I was working myself up into quite a state!

You guys are making me laugh with all the talk about your tickets. My brother, the cop, says that he doesn't like to write tickets, so will usually just issue a warning, unless it is something outrageous. He has said that some people talk themselves into tickets. A sure way to get one is to insist that you don't deserve it, that the cop is being unfair, etc. The best way to get out of it....admit what you did and apologize sincerely. If he stops you, most likely he'll let you go. Of course there are those cops that get a kick out of the power trip writing a ticket can give.

Have a great rest of the day:yay:

:wave2: hi guys!

In between baking brownies, thought I'd skim thru the recent posts!

Congratulations!!! lyzziesmom on 2,000 posts!!

2X - it sure is good to see you around here again!! Kingdom Keepers - I really like it - but I'm a reading geek. And I love thriller/suspense stuff. It's a teen book, but it's written well, and you can't beat where it's set! But IASW?? Don't think I'll ride it again, thanks.

Pozey - Surround sound and baking? :worship:

Michele - I'm so sorry to hear about your paper mishap! I wouldv'e been SO mad...

My timer is going off.... will check back later!

I know I am far behind some of you...esp Lyzziesmom but...

1000 posts for me!!!!

:cool1:  :cool1:  :yay:

I just came back in from shoveling snow for the 3rd time today. :headache: I looked at the rolls Donna presented today, and had to run to the grocery store to get me some Pilsbury. The coffee is perking, the rolls are in the oven, and in no time at all I'll be in heaven. Now all of you that are going to the 'World in 5 days (and you know who you are) please have pity on me, and please take me with you... please....please......please:sad1:

I don't even own a fancy bag! I use the carryon that came with my nice cheap purple luggage (easy to find at baggage claim!) as a diaper bag/carryon/park bag, sling it over the stroller handle, and I'm good to go. My everyday purse - yes I only own one - cost me a whole $3.00 at WalMart. It's got Tink on it!

I have the opposite crying problem... once I get started I can't stop. I cried like a baby the other day after the stupid ticket. Got in the elevator at work w/out being noticed, got a glimpse of myself in the mirrored doors & it set me off again. Felt like a tool crying at work, but I couldn't stop! At least it didn't start until after I was on the road again, I would've really felt like an idiot crying in front of the cop.

But, my sweatpants are too long and flared so I kept tripping over them. Just call me Grace.:3dglasses

I can relate! My favorite jammy pants are hugely flared, and they are some sort of super stretchy cotton and I'm always getting them caught on something when I sit down, or sitting on the edge of the bottom or tripping over them. Now that I think about it... why are they my favorite??

Weird thing happened... got home this evening and saw that my ex-BF text messaged me (remember him from a couple months ago? The guy who didn't want to spend enough time together for me?) about the Wiggles coming to town next month. I replied that yes I know, but it's too expensive, and he was asking if I can get off work in time to get there. I wonder where this is going? I've just gotten over the whole thing a few weeks ago... not sure what I think about this.

Whoops, double post. Not trying to overtake you Donna, I promise! You're still #1!!

Hey ConventionEars... after tonight, only 4 more days!!

Ok here's what happened... ex-BF just emailed me with a late Xmas gift for the girls: printable tickets to see the Wiggles! They are the cheap seats - upper balcony - which I'm pretty sure is all that's available now. I just don't quite know what to make of this, being so out of the blue like this. :confused3 I really did want to take the kids to the Wiggles though, and I know they will love it. I emailed back a big thank you, you shouldn't have. I'm a little freaked out!!

How many tickets did he purchase? Is he planning to go with you and the girls?

It is weird after all this time:confused3

Just the three, for me and the girls. The stated reason being that he is in class until after the show starting time. (He's recently gone back to school.) Very weird indeed!!
