YOLANDA!!!!!

I couldn't sleep last night because I forgot you in my post-----darn cobwebs!!!! I was sleeping and everyone's names started racing through my head when I realized that I didn't say hi to you, so HI Yolanda!!!!
Great pics of the warm, sunny beach!!!!!!!! Sounds like you're in need of a very similar location very soon!!

Ash---I'm sorry to read about Ruby!! I think you did the right thing---I know I would have taken her in too. It is just too scary, because they can't tell you how they feel and if her face was swollen, you naturally worry about her breathing passages. Hope she is feeling better.
The Buckeyes sound yummy!!! I am hungry right now, but I just took some meds, so I can't eat anything for another hour. Hopefully I'll be back to sleep by then.

Well, I am going to try to go back to sleep till about nine---then I must call the doctor to see if he can give me anything else for my ear---drops, maybe?? I afraid to call because I hope he doesn't want to see me----I just don't have the time right now. :scared1: Too many doctor's visits anyway lately. Plus, I have to work this afternoon and tomorrow and I want to get started on something now so I can be on a plane in 8 days!!!!!

Have a good day!!!!

p.s.----Donna and YM---I think that is the product that I read about. I will check into a sports place this weekend. YM---sorry to hear about the runners' chest things.:lmao: :lmao: For some reason:3dglasses , I can hear you saying this.

Ashley, poor Ruby! That must have been so scary. Leary does something strange to himself at least once a year (in fact, just yesterday he finished his medicine from his lastest incident). Does Ruby have to keep taking medicine? Cyprus developed an allergy (we don't know to what) and needs to take benedryl for it.

I've had Buckeye's. They sell them at Cracker Barrel and are sooo good. I've never made them though. I think I may try this weekend.

I think I may have convinced Mike to stay at the Poly! He said that we might be able to do it for our anniversary next year.

Good morning everyone!

2x- No worries and good morning!

Lyzziesmom-- Here's how I use the red eye-- Select the photo, go to edit, click the red eye icon, center the t over the eye and click-- works really well. Good luck. I do have to say that their tutoring & help options are quite good on that program.

Sooo, we've had sun for the past few days and I can almost see the pavement in the road :cool1: But, more snow for this weekend. Hopefully it won't be too bad for Keagan's party. My in-laws are driving in for the party so I hope thier trip home isn't too bad (they live in Telluride which is in the mountains).

I'm planning a trip for the last week of November & 1st week of December to WDW. We will also be in Orlando in May for my husbands job (if he's still with this company and not with another one). This company that has been recruiting him is taking it's own sweet time :rolleyes1 And yesterday, he had another recruiter from another company call him about a different job. Who knows? I told him he needs to look for a job in a warmer place... say, Hawaii? ;)

Okay--Before I go take care of my rugrat, how about Mexico this morning?
IMG_1464.jpg

Morning everyone! Well, I'm off to work but I have a couple of minutes to post!

Ashley, poor Ruby! Glad she is okay. I found out about the Dole Whip machine in a trip report...I don't remember whos but I think it was WDW_Poly_Princess...I think!!

Yolanda, Mexico sounds fun. Meet you on the beach!

Well, I best be off or I'll be late!

Pozey - did you see that the Cards World Series trophy is in town for a few days?
Is it still here???? I thought it was only here for Tuesday only? I couldn't go by and see it Tuesday.

I REALLY would like to see it. Am I too late?

I would love it! Now I'm all excited!

pozey:: Posting your cheesecake recipe would be an excellent idea!!! I love cheesecake!!
Well, I thought I could recite the recipe just off the top of my head. And for the most part I can. However, I cannot remember how much sugar the recipe calls for – 1 cup or 1 ½ cups……

So, I will double check the recipe tonight.

Good Morning!

Ashley- Oh no! Poor Ruby! You did the right thing by taking her to the vet. I hope she gets better soon! The recipe looks good!

Yolanda- I'd love to be on the beach right about now!:beach:

Have a great day!

Hi snickerdoodles!!!!

What is up???? (that's the :snooty: version of whassssup????):lmao:

DznyFan----how are you feeling?? Everything somewhat back to normal???? Thanks for your concern about me-----everything will work out, I'm sure. Just dealing with alot right now!!!!!! I still haven't seen any results from my new treatments, but keeping hopeful and trying to keep a positive attitude----which is kind of hard, because I only have one more treatment (of the rituxan) left and since this is so experimental, well, who knows.
I may have to have one of those Cosmos that you posted for Donna. It would be fine with all of my meds, right??:lmao: :lmao: :rolleyes1
What is up!! :lmao:
You did send your congrats - thank you. They poor kids were supposed to start reharsals on Tuesday the 16th. Well - they were out of school that entire week because of the ice!! So no they're going EVERY NIGHT including Saturdays from now until the show. Most of the kids don't have to go every night - but mine does.
I'm still sore - this is ridiculous, and I feel like I have a gaping hole in the side of my jaw. They said it's healing OK, though. In addition, my new dental insurance company is being a real pain in the a$$. *sigh*
I'd love to let you have one of those Cosmos - and I'm sure it'll be fine with all your meds..... (yeah, right)
:grouphug:

I don't think I'm qualified, so I'm just going to sit here quietly wimpering, and starving 'till she gets back.:sad1:
don't worry sewer, we won't go hungry here. there's a few of us staying, just to make sure we're all fed. between us all, we'll be OK!

Hey DznyFan...thanks for helping our sweet little miss Donna!

What DINGS do you want watched? Orlando?

Okay--Before I go take care of my rugrat, how about Mexico this morning?

Last one to the beach is a rotten egg!

Is it still here???? I thought it was only here for Tuesday only? I couldn't go by and see it Tuesday.

I REALLY would like to see it. Am I too late?
I'm not sure! :confused3 Maybe it was just Tuesday.

Aww, Ashley - poor Ruby!! puppy pixiedust for her!

Hi everyone!!! :wizard:
I saw this recipe on The View last week and it looks really good to me! They are called Buckeye's. Apparently they were made up in Ohio from a college state football thing or something?? Linda would know! :) I thought I'd post it in case anybody else would like to try it! I haven't made it yet but it is supposed to be very easy.

Ingredients:
2 cups Rice Krispies
2 lbs peanut butter – crunchy
1 lb confectionary sugar
1 stick margarine (softened)
Mix the above ingredients together and form small balls…
6 oz chocolate chips
1/3 bar of canning wax

Directions:
Melt chocolate and wax together on stove – smooth consistency. Dip peanut butter balls and let cool on wax paper. Tastes great just out of freezer.

Does that say POUNDS??? Two POUNDS of peanut butter??? One POUND of confectioner's sugar?? Wow!

I'm going to have to try these for the drama kids for rehearsal! They absolutely love this stuff they call Puppy Chow that has crispix, peanut butter, chocolate and confectioner's sugar.

Does that say POUNDS??? Two POUNDS of peanut butter??? One POUND of confectioner's sugar?? Wow!

I love puppy chow! Yum!!! I might have to make some this weekend!

Sewer---are you going to be the breakfast provider while Donna is attending the Cliqueless Convention??

I don't think I'm qualified, so I'm just going to sit here quietly wimpering, and starving 'till she gets back.:sad1:
I'll see what I can do to fill in for Donna while she is out. Now....I may not be able to wake up as early as she normally does......so everyone may have to wait for me.

Your "Moody" sweater sounds perfect to me!!! Is is Grumpy? I have a t-shirt that say I'm With Dopey. Corny, huh? I should bring all my Disney impulse purchase t-shirts to wear on this trip....you all would be so proud to be seen with me!!!:rotfl2:

My favorite is a tshirt I saw last year that says, "I'm Grumpy because you're Dopey" :rotfl: Cracks me up every time!! I hope you get your MIL situation cleared up... sounds like she is ready to GO! Maybe she just got her weekends mixed up?

DznyFan: Lost paperwork? How dare they?? Here's hoping you get your reimbursement check pronto!

2x: Too funny about your dream!! I had a dream that I was waiting at the Orlando airport and I couldn't find you because I didn't know what you looked like, so I was asking people, "Are you 2x?" and they were all getting really mad.

I was going to tell you I think the product you're thinking of is Body Glide, but I see a couple other cliquelessers beat me to it. I hate the name, but I sure could have used some last time!!

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT, get a $1 tiara from Target. Emma didn't even touch hers, they both broke just opening the package. The headbank they are on is a cheap plastic headband covered in cloth and it just snaps as soon as you touch it. The ones in the toy dept at Target are great, the brand is (I think) called Starring Me and they are quite durable plastic. I've worn Emma's and it's pretty comfortable, the plastic has a lot of "give" so it's not real rigid and fits even my big head. I think I'm going to buy myself princess ears or something at the park, and then give it to Lyzzie when we get home. princess:

I think I will be in mostly disney attire...unless I change my mind (which does seem to happen sometimes)

Me too!!

Hey 2xcited...did you mean to call us Cheez Doodles?;) Just having a little Plum fun. That darn Deal or No Deal show...I can't keep track of when that thing is on! Well at least we were represented tonight.:dance3: I guess you might have mentioned it if you won the lucky case?? Do you rememeber little Michele Tanner(AKA Emma!) when she dressed up like a tough girl trying to "frighten" her dads date. Or are you just frightened of me quoting Full House.:scared1: .

I remember that episode! I thought it was weird that they were surprised to see her dressed that way. Who bought her those clothes, anyway??

My DH uses something called Body Glide that you can get at a running store like Fleet Feet or Runner's World. He uses it on his chest things (don't want to get edited ) You wouldn't believe the men coming across the finish line with blood all over their shirt from bleeding "nippies". Sorry if that was TMI.

That is... SO.... gross!! I never knew that could happen just from running. :scared:

Ashley: Those Buckeyes sound really good! I might have to try them one of these days. Poor Ruby! I hope she is feeling better.

I've had Buckeye's. They sell them at Cracker Barrel and are sooo good. I've never made them though. I think I may try this weekend.

Thanks, now I want to go to Cracker Barrel.

I know I haven't caught up with everyone, but I (much like 2x) can't remember everything I wanted to say. Even if I did, it would take forever! So... hi to everyone I missed and I will see a bunch of you in EIGHT DAYS!!

April, excuse me Missy, but I'm 20. ;)
Sorry, Ash. I must have missed your birthday in the middle of my moving hiatus. Happy Belated Birthday. ETA:: But this girl does not act like you when you were 19. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: I'm just being silly w/ ya. ;)

Does Ruby have to keep taking medicine? Cyprus developed an allergy (we don't know to what) and needs to take benedryl for it.
Tucker has to take Benadryl in the spring/summer just like people because he has terrible allergies.

Don't get me wrong, IT WAS WORTH IT!, but the vet acted like it wasn't a big deal so I feel kind of stupid about wasting that money. She said it looked much worse than it was, but her face was SO SWOLLEN! I've never seen anything like that before on a dog. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you guys my story before I go to bed.

Thanks for listening.
Oh, Poor Ruby!!! Puppy PixieDust for her. :wizard: I would have been scared too! You definately did the right thing. I hate that when medical professionals either act like something's no big deal or you've just been delivered some pretty bad/rough news and they act like it's no big deal. Like they see it all the time. When I had my first surgery for my endometriosis and Steven and I were so hopefull that this would FINALLY fix us and we'd be able to have children the Dr. and nurse came in and spouted off these percentages like it was no big deal. He leaned back on his counter held his chart and said you've got 2-5% chance if we do nothing, 20% if we do blah, blah, blah and a 40% chance if we do blah, blah, blah. So, when can I sign you up for blah, blah, blah? My head was spinning. Now I realize they deal w/ this stuff everyday and it's just numbers to them but to me, it's my life.

Yoland:: Mexico looks lovely!! Sign me up for a trip.

Hey guys!!

Well I had a tramatizing night. Tonight (or I guess I should say last night!) I couldn't sleep so I was just watching tv in the dark. Ruby came out from the bedroom to snuggle with me and she jumped in my lap. All of a sudden I felt this lump on her back so I turned on the light to see what it was. When I turned on the light Ruby's face was SO SWOLLEN. You know Pug's faces are normally smooshed together but her nose was 3x its normal size, her one eye was very very swollen and her lips were too. Well needless to say I was FREAKING out. I had to get Jeremiah up and we had to find an emergency 24 vet because I was afraid her windpipe would get swollen shut or something.

Well $150, a steriod shot and benadryl shot later, she is fine but still alittle swollen. It was an allergic reaction (we don't know to what? The only new things we have in the house are the shower curtain and Jeremiah got and wore new undershirts without washing them first) and that 'lump' was a hive. We went through McDonalds at 4:30 this morning to get her a treat and I took this picture with my phone:

2e06cfae11d8.jpg

It didn't come out very well, you can't really see the swelling at all and some of it had come down because of the shots but you can see her little bandaged paw! Her nose is still pretty swollen now, but nothing else. Needless to say, I'm exhausted because I haven't been to sleep yet so I'm going to bed!!! I am just depressed because of how much money we've been spending. I could have used this money, with my tooth money and gone on the trip. I just really need a vacation right now.

How horrible for Ruby!! I wonder if she got bit by a spider or stung by something?

Hope she feels better!

Good morning cliqueless crew...I just noticed my stomach rumbling. Betty ...was the computer down today.;)

lyzziesmom...good idea about the princess ears. I'd have to send mine home to Lyzzie also.;) I want to do something...we'll see! Good point about Michele Tanner's clothes....who did buy them?:rotfl:

DznyFan...you couldn't read my mind...could you? I thought we could watch for some dings for 2x2s for Tulsa and I could put her up at my place and then we could go see the play together. I'm probably scaring her right now.:scared1: I sure hope your tooth/jaw gets to feeling better...and grr about the insurance...that make the pain worse.

Yolanda...great picture. I was inclined to go look at my Mexico pics but the would mean going to another room and changing computers.:rolleyes1

Ashley...wow, I'm glad ruby is doing better. My previous dog got stung by a bee and I had to take her to the vet for a swollen face. They did the same thing...a steroid shot and benedryl. I have all that stuff on hand plus an epi-pen for my kids(might come in handy for Sophie too). So what does Ruby eat at McDonalds?

Hi Michele, Amber, Nicole, April, Pozey, 2x (sorry you couldn't sleep...I should have called:rolleyes1....I was having some troubles myself).

I'm not sure! :confused3 Maybe it was just Tuesday.
They moved the kids' auditions to this Saturday - Colton still going?
No, Colton isn't going to audition this time. His swim team is going to start practicing 3 times a week pretty soon. And I would be afraid that might interfere with rehearsals - if he would have made it.

Speaking of which.....he DID get selected for his school's Select Choir.

DznyFan: Lost paperwork? How dare they?? Here's hoping you get your reimbursement check pronto!
OMG - it's been a nightmare. First phone call to confirm benefits/coverage back on the 8th (we were supposed to have been switched over by the 1st) and they said they couldn't find my group or myself in their system - still in underwriting. So I call my HR person, and she about flips, of course. Called the ins co back and they found the group, but not me! Call HR back, we all get on the phone w/ the broker and talk about it. She calls the ins provider, gets back to me - it looks like they lost your paperwork. OK. Day later - found paperwork. Thursday - OK, you're in the system, everything is good to go. Monday I walk into the Oral Surgeon's office - they tell me the ins provider told them I'M NOT IN THE SYSTEM. I have to pay for the entire visit, not my 20%. ouch. Call my HR person again, before I go under, and twice emailed that afternoon, she finally got it resolved. So yesterday I go to set myself up as a user on their website, and guess what? THEY CAN'T FIND ME IN THE SYSTEM!! I get another CSR that can't find the employer group or myself set up. I did finally get ahold of someone that was able to confirm my claim and that it had been sent for review. Review WHAT??? :furious:

Sorry - had a doh! moment about the DING! Great Idea - in fact, my computer just dinged - now if I could just find that rascal desktop icon that seems to have disappeared....

Understandable. It may have been a conflict, with practice 3 nights a week.

Just scream SERENITY NOW!!!

See if that helps.

Seriously......sorry you are having trouble with the HR stuff.

Understandable. It may have been a conflict, with practice 3 nights a week. I know that whomever is playing Winthrop will be putting in some rehearsal time - would have been at least 2 days this week, if that's any indication. Don't know about the rest of the kids. Tell him congrats on the choir!! If he does choir in 6th next year, (or is the select choir for 6th?) we'll look forward to seeing him at the annual Festival of Choirs BA has with all their middle and HS choirs.
I think this is just 5th grade.....but not positive. But I am sure that he will audition for Select Choir for 6th grade next year.
