Hey everyone-

Sorry I missed the questions earlier-- took my son to school and then put in a few hours at work, gotta earn my paycheck. :)

yourmajesty-- my son is 8, almost 9. I can't believe he's already that old. He loves to shovel and I hate it so it works well.

For those who are asking about WPASADI-- the DIS boards are sponsoring a contest-- survivor like, only virtual and some of the prizes are a 7 day 6 night vacation to WDW, a 4 night cruise, and other stuff. If you want more information you can find it on the podcast area off of the homepage. I don't know if you noticed the "Ty Pennington" posts about a DIS event but it's tied in with that. The term WPASADI means = wickedly perfect amazing surviving apprentice DIS Idol-- they came up with it, not me. :confused3 Anyway, it looks like fun but I think it will take a lot of time.

2xcited2slp -- thanks. If my husband gets the job we will relocate to West Virginia. That's quite a leap from Colorado, but we'll see. Someone asked where I'm from (sorry I don't remember who) but I'm in the Denver area. We had a little snow yesterday but the mountains are getting pounded today.

Well, I've got to go clean :dance3: I'll pop back in later if I can. Have a good day all!

Good Morning!

I'm back! :wave2:

I had a good time in Vegas. I didn't really win much money, but still had a fun time. Hopefully I can get my pictures back soon to share with everyone.

Have a great day!

Okay, I'm back---but just for a minute. It's rainy and cold out today and all I want to do is stay here and DIS and dream. But, work awaits. We are supposed to get our first snow tomorrow evening into Thursday morning. I think it is beautiful----if I can stay home in front of a fire with some hot chocolate and a nicy cuddly blanky. But, since that rarely happens-----it's just a pain in the booty.

Anyway----

Hi Angela----I was just thinking about you!!!! I bet the boys are doing this ----->> :cool1: :cool1: at the thought of going to WDW!!!!!! We know you are!!!! I'm glad Connor agreed to give up one of his Spongebob Friday nights for WDW. Good boy!!

DznyFan---revolting neighbors----nope, didn't help. :teeth: Sounds like things are coming together slowly, but surely.

Lesa---- :grouphug: :grouphug: I think you need some wine with your whine. Car problems-----blah!!!!! And to top it off with a smelly rental. I thought of Phoebe's version of "Smelly Cat" from the old Friends-----you can sing "Smelly Car". :teeth: :teeth: Sorry, not making light of your situation. pirate:
The Princess/Pirate party is a hard ticket event at MK. Here's a link----

http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mk/pirateprincess.htm

I think some of us were interested in order to get some additional hours at MK Monday night. It sounds very similar to MNSSHP, which was really fun and less crowded.

Keagansmom---that sounds very interesting. I have been noticing the Ty Pennington scuddle, but really haven't had a chance to check it out. I doubt I will partake-----don't have that much time on my hands right now----but the prize sounds divine!!!!

WELCOME BACK NICOLE!!!!!
Did you have a good birthday weekend celebration???? Can't wait to see pics. Sorry you didn't come into some big winnings---but glad you had a good time. Good to have you back!!!! :sunny:

:lmao: I was singing that same tune to Madison this morning! :lmao:
Smelly car, smelly car
What are they feeding you
Smelly car, smelly car

Thanks, I will check out the pirate: princess: party: although I think my budget may be getting a bit tight.

Keagansmom, where in WV would you move too? I'm in the Eastern panhandle (about an hour and half from DC).

Welcome back Nicole!!! Glad you didn't lose a bunch of money. Mike and I once went to play slots (not Vegas though). We lost $40 in under 20 mins :guilty: next time I gamble, I'll stick to blackjack :thumbsup2

Amber-- It'll be in the Charleston area.

Just found out that my father-in-law is coming into town on Thursday and is staying with us :sad2: Love the guy but this means I better get the cleaning done early. Oh well.

How are you all doing on your Christmas shopping. I'm almost done. :woohoo: Now I've got to go and wrap everything.

wow is it cold here today! The wind is sailing! I guess I'm making chilli tonight for dinner.

Love the smelly car thing! I had a rental one time that was smelly on a vacation. Finally about a day or two into it I discovered a bottle that had rolled under the seat that still had some milk in it  Threw it away and used a whole gallon of febreeze and it was better for the rest of the time.

Well-- gotta go and pick up my son from school. He's grounded today for disobeying his father so that means he gets to help clean the house :teeth:

I'll try to pop in later. It's nice to have "adults" to talk to during the day. I work from home so it's pretty much just me and the cat (and he could care less what I'm saying).

bye

Keagansmom, sour milk! Ugh, of all the stinky smells that is one of the worst in a confined space... I just had a rental that smelled of cigarettes even though they assured me over and over again that it was a non-smoking vehicle...yeah right. Prayers for your DH and your family!

Lesa, hope your car turns out okay! Car problems are the worst! Hugs!

Who asked me about Partylite candles? I can't remember right now! But, they are really high quality candles that smell GREAT. They are the home sales version of Colonial Candles of Cape Cod (which are sold at Hallmark). They are a little pricey which is the main reason I became a consultant but the hostess credit is amazing. You can go to www.partylite.com to find a consultant near you. I really recommend them, they burn perfectly and they are now the only candles my church will burn because they are dripless (the ones that are supposed to be dripless anyway), even the tapers, so they don't have to worry about the carpet and offertory.

Pozey, thats a little wierd about your neighbors but really nice all at the same time. Cookies were a nice way of acknowledging their random act of kindness. Courtneys room is adorable. Need pics of your other Disney room!!!! Ours is only in the bathroom...Americana Mickey all the way!

Lizziesmom, glad your procedure is over and prayers that it turns out great!

I was at work until 3:30 this morning and slept in until 1:00 this afternoon! I'm still sleepy but catching up on my tv watching! Gotta love Law and Order and Heros!

That's the song I've needed for the last few days, there is something yucky in my car. ugh! I'm hoping there isn't some rancid pull-up under the seats somewhere!! :lmao: I wish there was a projectile vomit smilie :teeth:

Haven't even started. I'm just now compling a list of what I'm getting and for whom.

Which leads me to yet another question:
My sister and I lived halfway across the country from each other since I was 19. I've usually sent her a Christmas gift each year. I say usually, because for several years, I would send her something, but I never, and I mean NEVER received a Christmas gift in return from her and her then-husband or her now-husband. So some years, I just didn't. She's been living out here for a year and a half (or is it 2 1/2???) now, and the first Christmas we got together and exchanged. Last Christmas we did not get together at all. (my excuse? I was in Orlando...) Year before last was the first time in 20-something years that she and I exchanged Christmas gifts. I've always found it strange. I plan on doing something for her for Christmas this year, but I'm not going out of my way or spending any kind of exorbinant amount of money (I learned my lesson on that a LONG time ago). Or should I just skip it?

Dznyfan, I have a recipe for a spice tea mix that you can make and put in a pretty glass container that would be cheap and easy. It probably makes enough mix to use for other gifts (teachers, directors, etc) too and is pretty inexpensive to make. If there is a World Market near you they have glass jars on sale for cheap. That way you at least gave her a little something and don't have to worry about it.

Ugh, spoiled milk in the car! I've done that too, it's pretty bad. When Lyzzie was little, she used to pick up every sippy and ask me "Is it old?" As if I gave her old sippys all the time! (It maybe happened once before I realized what I did.)

My mom came over this morning and was just going to help out with a couple things around the house. Well we ended up reorganizing the playroom, my bookshelf and dresser. We went to Goodwill and Target before picking up Lyzzie from the bus stop and I finally went home. I am pooped!! Since my meds make give me a little burst of energy, I guess my mom forgets that I'm still recuperating and in quite a bit of pain. She has plans to paint my bedroom with me this week, I hope I'm up to it!

I thought of you guys while I was out shopping today:

hoot hoot!

Lin, that spiced tea mix sounds like a great gift idea!

Keagansmom, you had me cracking up picturing you talking to the cat! They are great listeners (when they want to be) but not so good overall conversationalists.

2x, I totally agree with your snow sentiments. It's beautiful and I love it, as long as I don't have to be out IN it. I remember liking the snow a lot better when I was a kid and didn't have to worry about driving in it.

Amber:: Yippee!!! 8 more days!!! I'm so excited for you!! I'm going to check to make sure I can find your itinerary before you leave. :thumbsup2

pozey:: I absolutely love Courtney's room!!! I wish I had a reason to decorate a Princess room. princess:

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: :thumbsup2

2x2s::If you can ride RNR and EE with us, I can sit through Impressions de France with you (a couple of times). :teeth:
Aunt T, I can just imagine your niece waking up and saying that!!! I once stayed in a room with my sister and my niece Cassie. Cassie kept saying " Are you asleep, Aunt Donna?" Well, like I was!!!!

Angela:: That trip is getting SOOO close. I don't know how you kept from telling the boys about the trip!! I would have popped a gasket trying to keep that a secret!! :dance3: I'm relieved to hear you DS is willing to give up his Spongebob Fridays!!! This had me cracking up!!! :rotfl2:

DznyFan:: I doubt that your neighbors are that revolting. Or...they aren't revolting that much?? :confused3 Anyway, your lake getaway sounds wonderful!!!

Lesa:: OOhh and ouch about your van not starting. Is it the battery or alternator? Why is it stuff like that always happens when the hubbies are out of town? Our central air shot craps one year when DH was in Michigan.

keagansmom:: I saw the announcement about WPASADI. I have seen posts about this before, but never knew what it meant!! DUH, now I know!!! My SIL and her family live in Golden. I think they've already had .....snow. :cold:

Lin:: WOW!! You had to work until 3:30am??!! What was going on at the DS that late? j/k The Partylite candles sound really neat. May have to check those out!

lyzziesmom:: It's nice to hear you were out and about today, but try not to overdo it!! DH was looking at the screen as I was reading/posting. He told me to tell you those are a nice pair of hoo....owls. (I hope that doesn't embarrass you, we're just kind of nuts at my house, sorry.)

And last, but not least....

Welcome back, Nicole!!!!
:dance3: :wave2: party: :rockband: party:

NIcole, I love the new Siggie!!! :thumbsup2

wow...I've missed so much! I've been popping in to read and keep up but I'll be back... :rolleyes1

We're close to being done. Well, maybe more like about 1/2 way done. We've gotten all the "major" things. Now, we need to get some little things. And presents for nephews, aunts, uncles, and the like.

:rotfl2: :rotfl:

I laugh, because with my wicked sense of humor......I was going to say the same thing...... :lmao: :rotfl2:

Reminds me of an old Mel Brooks comedy "Young Frankenstein". Gene Wilder goes up to this house that has these huge door knockers. And Madeline Kahn (or was it Teri Garr?)answers the door.....and I would assume everyone knows where it went from there..... :rotfl2: :lmao:
