Linda...are you close to Dayton...I can't remember? I brought the boys back some corn cob popcorn! We tried to grow some one year in a pot but the cobs rotted. BTW when do they cut the corn stalks down?

Donna...we fly out of Tulsa. There aren't many direct flights...we usually connect in KC, St Louis, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, well you get the picture...we have to fly to a bigger airport and sit....before we can get to our destination. :rolleyes1 I think Dallas is the worst...why did I forget that when I booked the tickets? Honestly, we stay on schedule much better if we are flying Soutwest but it's nice to have an assigned seat....we flew AA this time. :sad2:

No not really... I live in Mansfield...which is directly in the middle between Cleveland and Columbus..Dayton is probably 3 hours or so... yummm bet the popcorn was good!! Some farmers will cut it down in the fall but some leave it up for the deer...

Darn it! I lost another post! Two in one day!

:woohoo: YAY!! to Kenny's team for winning this weekend! :cheer2: Sounds to me like he's already got quite the fan club started... :lmao: Mom, you need to set all these little girls straight and just let them know he's not available! We all have a wedding to go to in about 20 years!

Pesky puddles plague Pozey's piggies. Watch where you step, Pozey.

Sounds like a new pair of shoes are in order. Rockport's are good shoes, however! :thumbsup2

Linda::You definitely have quite the charmer in Kenny!! :goodvibes He sounds like such a happy little guy, can't wait to meet him.
On the subject of cameras; DH has a Canon Rebel that he loves. Personally, I think it is too big. I like our small Canon Power Shot. DH got his for the same reason you want yours, DS's sports and activities. I almost forgot to add, he got his Rebel on sale and there was a rebae also, so keep your eyes open for that!!

YourMajesty::I asked about the airports because I was looking at conneting flights for Feb. ;) That apple pie sunds pretty good. Nathan is an apple pie lover, too.(Well, at least my Mom's pies!)

DznyFan:: When I hear about Erin's shoes/feet I want to cringe. I'm sure she will always be looking for comfy shoes to wear to work now. I probably had to learn that lesson when I was young as well.

I know...I have a power shot too and love it..that is why Mike thinks I should stick w/canon... I think they're a little big and heavy but the pix they take are awesome!! I figured w/christmas coming they should have some decent sales :woohoo: !!
oh...time to go home... sorry..gotta run. :moped:

I know all to well about pain in the name of cute feet! I have sooo many cute shoes but don't wear them all that much because my feet end up hurting! I bought a pair of cute shoes a while back that I just had to have even though they were half a size too big! I will never wear them again!

If and when you decide on a camera......go to a local camera store - Wolf Camera, Ritz Camera, Camera Gallery.....whatever you have available. Ask them to let you take a few pictures. See what feels good.

One major (to me at least) advantage the digital SLR has over the point and shoot cameras is shutter lag. That is the time it takes from the time you press the button to when the camera actually takes the picture. DW has this really small pocket size digital camera. But the shutter lag is awful. Probably a second to 2 seconds from the time you press the button to when the picture takes.

My Canon.....you press the button, it takes the picture. Plus, if you put it in multi-shot mode......it'll take 4 frames per second. I use that quite a bit for action shots.

Hey dumplings,

I haven't had time to review from today so I will later on and put my two cents in---not that my opinion is all that, but you know how I like to type.

I got last minute tickets to the Eric Clapton concert tonight so if I am here tonight it will be much later. Long story but I think I have mentioned that my dad used to be a drummer so when I found out the Eric Clapton was coming to town I asked him and he pretty much ignored me. :confused3 This was a while back. Well, about a month ago I was over their house and he says to me, "Do you know who's coming in concert on Sept. 18??" I gave him my infamous raised eyebrow and reminded him that I already told him this a long time ago and he had no comment. We looked on line and no decent seats were left. Anyway, yesterday I asked him again and he just shook his head no. Yet another anyway, I was talking to a client today (one of my three!!) and she said that she and her husband and her son were going and she told me just to try to see if any tickets were released today because he puts on such a good show. I called my dad and he said that he really does want to go----and of course I felt guilty because he told me way back when that it would be his chance in a lifetime. So, I got on the phone in my spare time (which was pretty much all day) and got what I hope are some good seats.

Well I'll be---- can I get wordy or what??

I just wanted to say that I'm going to the concert tonight. Sweet and simple. And of course hey-ya to you all. (isn't that an Outkast song?? Shake it like a poloroid picture??)
It's official--I've lost it. :teeth:

Hey there!!

Just got back from a parent's meeting for Nick's confirmation. When I got home Briana was here. She was supposed to be at work. She says that it was dead and she got 'voted off the island' So she and her girlfriend have just left to get ice cream.

Matt had his first practice today. He said it went well except he had to keep stopping to adjust his knee brace and the fact that during the running he is out of shape. Right now Blake has him at phys therapy. He should sleep well tonight!

The breakfast went fine at school this morning, we had about 15 kids.

I wore my Crocs to school today. This was the first day that my feet didn't hurt by the end of the day. I had to laugh, one of the SpEd teachers, a man, looked at my shoes during the last class and says "are those things comfortable?" My answer was they better be cause they are butt ugly!! He didn't know what to say!!?!? He said the first time he had seen them was when his daughter was born; a friend of their's is a doctor and visited them in the birthing room and she had on a pair of lime green ones! He figured they must be comfortable if she was wearing them around the hospital.

2x2...have a great time at your concert!! I've never seen him in person but I would love to.

Nicole...9 days!!!
Ashley...4 days!!!

I'm soo jealous!!!

Today was such a better day! Thanks for all of the pixie dust, I definitely needed it after this weekend. Today the guys came and put the gutters on. The house looks really great! Now we are waiting for them to come and finish capping the windows which they claim they never said they would do. No do, no pay, that's all I've got to say! Hey I'm a poet and didn't know it:)

It was so quiet all morning, I didn't know what to do with myself. It didn't last long though. Gracie came racing through the house at lightning speed, white fluff flowing behind her. I went and looked, she had torn a hole in her bed and torn all of the stuffing out of it. She was very ashamed of herself I tell you. [insert rolling eye smilie]

The computer is running slow tonight and the smilies are not working, so I'm off to bed. Catch up with ya'll tomorrow!

Nicole only 9 DAYS!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: Single digits are here!!

Ash only 4 DAYS!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc  I cna count them on one hand!

Hi everyone :wave2:

Lesa, I'm glad today was better!!! :grouphug:

Jill, thanks for the offer :goodvibes I think its going to work out, Jeremiah was scared I would call his friend so he kind of gave him a guilt trip, and he agreed to come. :p Yep, only 4 four days!! YAY!!

2xcited, I hope you have a great time at the concert!

I just watched the Pittsburgh/Jacksonville game and I'm disappointed that the Steelers lost. :guilty:

Our air conditioning is not working properly (I run it 24/7, even in the winter! ) so Jeremiah is trying to thaw it out with a hairdryer. I hope it works!!

I went to Target tonight and got a whole bunch of travel sized bathroom stuff for the trip!! I'm getting excited!! :cheer2:

Good Morning!!

Running a little late this morning so I will catch up later

Have a great day!!

Ok, now that I've caught up...

Luvdzne::I am glad your Monday went better than your weekend. Our dog Buddy has chewed up 2 of his dog beds! Don't they realize how warm and comfy the beds are supposed to be? :dog2:

Ashley::Oooh, girl!!!Your honeymoon is getting closer!!! 3 More days!! :yay: :yay: I'm glad things worked out with the guy watching your cats.

Nicole::8 more days!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

2x2s::How was the concert?? Did E.C do a lot of his older songs, or was it more the newer bluesy/mellow songs?

MI mom of 3::Glad to hear you Crocs were comfy and your feet didn't hurt.
I'm sure Matt will get back in shape in no time. Have a good day at school.

DH got some bad news yesterday. The company he works for has decided to discontinue letting people work from home. He WAS getting to work from home on Thurs and Fri. Now he will have to drive everyday. The drive is over 180 miles round trip...he's not a happy camper. It worked so well for him to be here when Nathan got off of the bus, too. Oh,well, what you gonna' do??!!

Hope everybody has a super day. Talk to you all later. :wave2:

Good Morning :wave2:

2x2s, I just love Clapton, but I have never been to one of his concerts. I'm sure it was great.

Ashley (and Nicole) , your trip is so close! I would be bouncing off the walls. BTW, I thought we were going to see your new haircut...

Donna, that stinks that your DH can't work from home now. I know how hard long commutes can be. :guilty:

Mike got bad news last night (well, kinda). His aunt called and said that his dad has been having seizures and was in the hospital. However, no one else called Mike. Not his sister, mom, grandmother, no one. His aunt claims to have spoke to Mike's grandmother (but they have both been known the get things wrong). Mike doesn't want to call his mom, because if nothing is wrong, she will get mad that the grandmother was gossiping (can you say DRAMA). So, right now we are just waiting to see what happens.

Our system at work is broke (again), so I can't do anything.

Guess I will DIS!

Amber - pixiedust: for you, Mike and his dad. Family drama can be such a major pain in the patootie and a total waste of time. Hope all is OK.

2X2S - How was that concert? Yay for you, coming up with last minute tickets!

Donna - thanks for the danish! That hits the spot! Stinks about your DH's job - that's one LONG commute.

Ashley and Nicole - you're almost there! Have you started packing yet, Ashley? At least you got your little travel stuff.

Hi Michele, Pozey, YM, Jill, Linda and Lesa! :wave2:
