Well, I have another "pozey" story.......

I was leaving work yesterday afternoon. Our office building has a parking garage, so I pull out of the parking garage and head out to the street. I pull up to the stop sign and I am behind one car, who is waiting for traffic. When all of a sudden......WHAM! I am rear ended from behind (hmmmm.....how else do you get rear ended???).

And it wasn't just a little tap. It was hard enough to jerk my head back. So, I get out thinking crap what is my rear bumper going to look like? Well, the lady that hit me is driving a full size pickup. I drive a Chevy Tahoe 4 wheel drive SUV.

I get out and look at my bumper........not a scratch......not a dent.....nothing. Then I look at her front bumper......she has a HUGE dent right in the middle......shaped just like.....my trailer hitch. She apparently hit me dead square in the middle of my trailer hitch which sits right below my bumper. Did not do anything to my truck!!

We exchange names just in case and go on our way. I am so happy that it didn't do any damage.


Although.......my neck is feeling kinda stiff.........

Good morning ladies!

It's been a while since I posted here. When I got past the 850 post mark I decided I was spending waaaaaay too much time on here. Well I went to DAA (Dis addicts anonymous) and I am sad to say that I fell off the wagon.

Michele...too funny about Matt. Unfortunately I think he takes after his uncle! I do feel sorry for him because I know how much he wants to play.

Pozy....That was too funny about forgetting your dd's clothes. Luckily I have only forgot small stuff like toothbrushes, makeup, lotions....You know, the important stuff! I had the same thing happen in our SUV a few years ago. Not a dent (a few scratches) on my bumper, but the other car had a nice imprint of the hitch. Make sure you take some motrin for your neck. I still have problems with my neck and back from my accident and it is going on 4 years now. I'm glad it was nothing serious!

Lizziesmom....Sounds like you had a great trip. Sorry, I had to laugh at all your little mishaps, especially the one where Emma peed on you. Been there done that.

It is so yucky here. Cold, rainy and just plain dreary! Let's hope the sun comes out tomorrow.

Last night we went to dd's MS (middle school) parent's night. we had to go to each of the 9 classes for 10 mins. to listen to a speeches that the teachers never had time to finish. I hate those things. I don't see a need to really see that gym, art, foods and music teachers. The whole thing was just under 2 hours. We didn't get home until 9. We have another one at the elementary tomorrow. At least I know that one won't take so long.

Yesterday morning at about 6:30, I was still in bed. DD11 was getting ready for school when I hear the door bell. DD yells upstairs "their here", I say "who's here"? She again says "their here". So I quick get up and throw some decent clothes on, stagger downstairs to see 10 Mexican guys on my front lawn. I ask the one that is at the door what they are there for. He tells me that they are here to do the roof. Umm, O.k. I wish someone would have informed me they where coming. So I rush dd off to the bus, while my other dd comes staggering downstairs freaking out because something is on the roof making all kinds of noise and it woke her up. I tell her join the crowd. So I hurry up take a shower (It felt like all 10 men were in the bathroom with me. I was feeling a bit invaded) I leave to take dd to school and decide I was not coming back. I went shopping and came home at 1:00 and they were gone. The roof was done. Now I have to be prepared for when they come back to do the siding.

I was pulling into a parking lot to shop..naturally...and a lady just bolts out of a parking spot dead into my car..she wasn't looking at all...just floored it in reverse...she was on her cell phone ...so I get out expecting a huge dent in the side of my car...and nothing at all... thank goodness!!! she was very apologetic, after she hurried up and ended her conversation.... I just got her number and lic. plate and went on.... I love my volvo...built like a tank !!

I did have raw veggies with hummus today and it was yummy. (I wanted veggies with some sort of dip but I can't have dairy so I ingeniously thought of hummus--I love it on pita so why not veggies??)

I had suite the busy day I was pooped and went to bed just after those couple short posts! Have you ever tried taboule(sp?)? I love to put taboule on carrots and apples and even those big pieces of asparagus. I bet it would be good with broccoli too. I am almost 100% sure there is no dairy in it but you may want to read ingerdients just incase I wouldnt want to make you sick

Jill - does your DH combine his golf and his Disney like mine does? The clubs go with us to Orlando, unless we're taking a cruise too. DD and I kind of like it, though - we have a 'girls day' and do whatever we want!:

Everytime! The first time we went I said I would golf with him so we only did 9 holes (I am not much of a golfer and only do it for something to do together) Well those courses are tough! I think I only played a few strokes on each hole and then would pick up the ball and wait for him to be done. After that Nick and I decided it is much better for him to be able to play 18 holes by himself then to pay to have me stand around. Now I will just relax or go shopping as he plays golf and we are all happier

those are the best so sweet!! My bottoms are flannel and top is cotton too, sounds like the ones from disneyshopping.com... my top is burgandy w/ burgandy/grey bottoms... I have tons of disney pj's...now Mike is even wearing a lot of disney stuff he loves his grumpy shirt I like the dcl clothes !!!

Jill, the golphing sounds like what I would do my dad's family are HUGE golphers... some make a living golfing...the owner of the coarse they go to alot offered to teach me free...this was when I was 16.... I said no thanks but now I kinda wish I would have oh well... they can go golfing...WE'll go shopping

Pozey - Your sons poster sounds so cute and very creative! Did he think of it on his own? I am so glad yout truck is ok. Car accidents can be such a pain in the neck (haha no pun intended) Even if you are stopped minding your own business and someone whams you, you still get stuck with higher premiums on your insurance

Hello. My name is Colton and I am a fifth grader in Mrs. XXXXX’s class. I have been a student here at Vandever Elementary ever since I was in 2nd grade. I love Vandever Elementary.

I am running for Student Council President because I want to make a difference in our school. I want to help make Vandever Elementary the best Elementary school in the nation.

I think I would make a good President because I care about making a difference in our school. I will listen to my fellow students and pass along any ideas and thoughts they have to the teachers and other Student Council members. I think every student here at Vandever should have a voice. I want to be the voice of the students. I will work very hard at making great decisions regarding what goes on in our school.

surprised he wears them to the gym... wow, you are doing good!! well, when Mike traded his Harley Davidson hat for a MM hat... I about passed out...his nephews were teasing him about it and of coarse his reply was... guess who this hat makes happy....they looked at me of coarse...then he said...when she's happy...she makes ME happy...wink wink oh boy!!! but he's right !!!

pozey...I'm horrible at writing.... obviously ... but I think what you have sounds great I hope he gets it!! He sounds like such a sweetheart !!
