YM, I've always been a night owl too. My mom liked it though, because she liked to stay up late and sleep in too. I always slept through the night, even when I was a newborn! I'm an only child, so she never had to deal with kids getting up really early!

Your mom was lucky...what a good baby....sleeping through the nigth as a newborn...you would have set a high standard for any siblings. :cloud9: Well, I would stay on longer tonight but my back is killing me....wwaaaa....my whining for the night. :teeth:

Nighty nite. HOOT :smooth:

What time is it you ask and why is the Pin-cess up?? aka hooty, aka Wilma (I saw that :teeth: ), aka 2x2s, aka ???---why do I have so many names?? Hoot knows.

Anyway, on the serious side--I can't sleep because I am scared you- know -whatless of what the dr. has to say tomorrow--oh, later today--forgive me.
You have caught me in a weak moment so I will fess up now and hopefully it is just you guys who are reading this. I know, wishful thinking. I have a rare autoimmune disease--I won't go into detail, but I am stumping my doctors right now. I have been battling this for 3 1/2 years now and we just can't get it into a remissive state, hence the strong prednisone use, intervenious treatments once a month for three days, and several other medications. For any of you who are not familiar with autoimmune diseases, (and there are lots of them that are considered this) it is where one has an overactive immune system and it starts attacking the good cells in the body. It is not contagious and it is not clear of why they begin. Genetics have something to do with it but after this it is not clear. The drugs I take supress my immune system so at times the work that I do can be pretty dangerous for me because I see so many people in a day and you would not believe how many people come in sneezing and hacking to have their brows done, but that is a whole other story. So, again, this is why I am always wiped out to oblivion at times and at other times cannot sleep at all. I try to keep a really positive attitude about the whole thing but at times it is just too much. Like others with autoimmune, we deal with this every single day---there is no "here's a pill or surgery and it will go away". The main goal is to keep it at bay and someday it will go into a somewhat of a remissive state. I am still waiting for this day. Stress really has an impact on autoimmune---this is why I come here to escape---thanks to all of you!! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Anyway, there is the Pin-cess' secret. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Thanks for listening and know that I never meant to be secretive but I won't go into anymore detail here. :sunny: :sunny:

Thanks for all of the laughs---it is exactly what I need---and have I said that I cannot wait to finally meet some of you in Feb.?? :grouphug:

princess:

eta--I started writing this at 4:30 and just kept erasing and going back. I know--no big deal for you early birdies--but not us hoots. :teeth:
Hmm, good day my "feathered" friends.

And since I'm up I decided to cook---Donna deserves the weekend off.

Bon Appetit!!!

2x2...I don't know what to say about your disease except :grouphug: I really hope everything goes GREAT when the doctor calls you.

When I saw you were being called Wilma it threw me, I had to go back a re-read some posts until I figured it out. Too funny :rotfl: And thanks for breakfast.

I was soooo tired last night I went to bed before 10. Am I a party animal or what??

I love the t-shirt idea. Maybe something with Owl from Winnie the Pooh to recognize all you Hoot-ers?

After all I said about hating sleepovers I let Nick have a friend over last night so I can't use my living room cause they are spread out on the couches. :rolleyes1

YM..Nick is 18 months younger than Matt. They are pretty close in height right now but Nick has a bigger build. I think when all is said and done Nick will end up bigger than Matt.

I love Ruby's bed, does she have her own room too? :) Just think how cute you could decorate it? :dogdance:

MI mom....I think my yougest son will catch his older brother and they are 2 1/2 years apart. I just love that picture in your signature. It makes me smile everytime I see it. Yours kids look so happy and like you didn't need to tell them to smile...it's just very sweet. My yougest has never really liked to smile for a camera and his brother is at an age where it's very forced...like he's constipated. :teeth:  I still have some lovely pictures of them but I cherish the ones where they just look happy!

Having internet problems!! Lost my long post, now I'm ticked!!! :badpc:
:grouphug: to everyone, will try it again!!!

2xcited, Hope you start feeling better.  I'm saying a prayer for you right now!! Thanks for breakfast, it looks scrumptious!!

LOL, an Owl sounds hilarious for a shirt! :teeth:

and no, Ruby doesn't have her own room- but what a lovely idea. :sunny: :teeth:

 Hey Donna...you must be between errands and Nathan's party. Hey I lost my post earlier too...must be an epidemic. :teeth: Have fun today!

Hi everyone!!!
2x2s, your breakfast was superb!!! I feel sooo pampered!! princess:
I wish I could have logged on earlier, I was up at 6:20am!! I want you to know how much support you have in your cliqueless chicas and the man!! :grouphug: Right now I can't seem to find the right words to express myself! You're our pin-cess! princess:

Had to get up early to do the last-minute errands for Nathan's party. Cake ,drinks and treats are bought. I just have to fill the treat bags!!

YM:: You're right...it's only hat head if you take the hat off!! Not much of a hat person, but I could give it a try!! :teeth:

Everyone have a Super Saturday!!

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys...

Last night we had a scare with Ruby. She walked up to me and her right eye was all bloody...well I started freaking out that her eye was seriously injured. We had a similar thing happen in February when we (Ruby & I) were visiting my parents in Florida and one of my parents cats scratched her. We took her to the vet then and luckily her eye wasn't damaged., but she needed antibotics and cream in her eye several times a day. Well this time one of our cats got her, but luckily it wasn't inside her eye (like last time), it was right outside. My vet said anywhere where theres a cut on the head it bleeds alot, so thats why it looked so bad. Anyway, I felt sick there was so much blood! But she was fine almost instantly (actually she didnt act hurt at all.)

Donna, hope the party goes well!! It sounds like alot of fun!!!

Ashley::I am glad Ruby's injury was nothing serious!! Did Ruby provoke the cats or were they just playing. Sometimes our kitten Felix pesters the stuffings out of our dog Buddy. I think Buddy tries to get even when we aren't looking! :rotfl2:

Nathan's party starts at 3pm. Tomorrow evening we are having the family party at our house. We don't havea big family, just have to bake a cake and get some ice cream!!

Oh Donna, my boy cat is named Buddy. :)

She was playing with Lily (our other cat) and Lily really gets annoyed with Ruby, and when she had enough she scratched her. Sometimes they play, but most often its Ruby chasing her around the house. Hopefully she's learned her lesson, but I don't think so, :) considering its the second time she's been scratched (Not counting the scratches on her nose and the back of her neck!!!)

I made sure to trim both the cats nails last night though, I forgot to do it last month and they were LONG!!

Yikes Ashley...that souded like a scare. I'm glad she was ok and that it wasn't in her eye. Our previous dog had several trips to the vet for injuries...not fun. Sounds like you're already and expert on eye injuries. I thought that was funny about a room for Ruby. That would be fun but she would never put up with that...unless it was connected to yours. :dogdance:

YM, your right..

There's no turning back after she slept in my bed for the first time! She's been doing it every night since then..I keep trying to put her in her crate, but she literally SCREAMS (not barks) like a baby!! Last night she slept UNDER my comforter in my back!! It is comfy though, I have to admit!!! She keeps me warm! Actually, shes laying on my lap as we speak (type..) :teeth:

Well, I got the treat bags made!! Nathan helped and it took no tome at all!! He's really excited about his party!!! He just wants the kids to come and have fun!!
The other day he told me one of the girls in his class asked him what he wanted for his B'day. He told her he wanted a POC game for his PSP!! I told him not to tell the kids he wanted anything. He told me if he had to choose between having the kids at his party or having presents, he would rather have the kids playing!!!! :goodvibes (That could be because he already has about anything he wants!!)

You mean Ruby doesn't have her own room!!!

eta::Gotta run get some house work done!!! See you all this evening!!??

I had to post something...we are either busy or boring today. I was one of the boring ones. It is cold and rainy here and all I want to do is lay down and read.

Blake, Matt and I just got back from dinner. We went to a local Mexican place. Matt doesn't really like Mexican so he ordered chicken strips and a salad. Well she brought him a salad with eggs, olives and cheese and had the chicken strips diced on top. You should have seen the look on his face :earseek: He tried it but didn't like it. The chicken was hot and melting the cheese onto the chicken and that was making the lettuce warm...he couldn't take it. We finally got her attention and explained that this was supposed to be 2 separate dishes. She just kept giving us this blank stare...she was a little weird. We told her to forget about the chicken and just bring him out a side salad. She eventually shows up with a plate of shredded lettuce. That's it, nothing but shredded lettuce. OOOKKK. :confused3 He was fine with it. It was just a little strange. I don't think he'll be going back there again.

We went to the pool store and got a new winter cover. If it doesn't rain tomorrow we will close the pool. :sad1: I hate that summer is pretty much over.

Where is everyone else???
