We are SSR owners and have not tried them. I would love to stay there sometime. I am thinking I would enjoy staying there more in the fall or winter.

When did you stay and how many were in your tree house villa?

For how long?

Did you like it?

How was the pool?

How were the buses if you used them?

Did you find it convenient to get to the Carriage House?

Would you stay again?

Did it meet or exceed your expectations?

Thanks so much!!!:goodvibes

We stayed at the THV for 2 nights recently. The pool was ok - nothing special - and hardly used. We drove so transportation was not needed, but my son and I took the bus once to use the main pool. The buses run from the main SS house (in front of the main pool) to around the THV. Great drives and especially nice to kids - but takes time. Also - if you drive and get stuck behind a bus - they have to stop and wait for a few minutes at each THV stop - so be patient. The roads at THV are similar to a single one-lane road - so there is no room for a bus to pull over and wait. We did see alot of frustrated people waiting for buses - but if you drive, there are no issues. We did see one family with 3 cars having to drive around a while to find a space - looks like there is space for one car per THV - doesn't make sense since they sleep 9 and that is at least 2 cars. Maybe DVC is betting that some occupants will not have cars.

The rooms were great - usual disney - feels like a cabin. The family loved it - but there is a feeling of isolation. If you needed something and didn't have a car or know your way around, it probably wouldnt be the place to stay.

It is a very nice place - but all things considered (and definitely better than the 2 BR at SS IMHO) but I would rather stay at the BLT or Boardwalk of BCV.

Have a great time no matter what you do.

We stayed in #7026 from Sept. 6-11 and LOVED IT. Beautiful view of the river and the villa itself was just outstanding. VERY comfortable. There were 4 adults and we all had our own room(DH and I shared!). My adult daughter slept in the upper bunk and had plenty of room and did not fall out once. We prepared a few meals and had everything we needed. We rented a car and never had any problems with parking. We used the quiet pool and hot tub and there were only one or two other parties there at any given time. We walked the path to SSR several times and it was a very nice walk. Maybe 5 minutes and we were strolling, not rushing. We used the boat dock once to go over to DTD and that was lovely. We will stay there again in a heartbeat. We felt we were in our own private Disney sanctuary.:cloud9::love:

We'll be there this coming summer with my brother and his family.. can't wait!!! Thanks for the report!!!

We spent 5 nights in a Treehouse this summer. 7 in our party--two in each bedroom plus one on the living room sofabed. The main reasons we choose the treehouses were because we like SSR and because the three private bedrooms fit our group very well.

The units themselves are fantastic. Very high quality furnishings and plenty of room to spread out. We did feel a bit removed from the action, but depending upon what sort of trip you want that's not necessarily a bad thing.

We didn't use the buses often but could see them running on a regular schedule when we were out-and-about. The shuttle ran every 10 minutes so no terribly long delays.

The pool is basic but uncrowded and a good spot to relax. We visited the main pool at times to use the slide and the Grandstand pool for the water play area. But when the kids just wanted to swim and horse around, the Treehouse pool was perfect and only 2 min away from our dor.

I would say that the rooms exceeded our expectations. The design looks a bit 70s-ish from photographs but the finish product is much more impressive first-hand. Also had some concerns about bugs which proved to be a non-issue. Like I said, our primary motivation for booking the treehouses was the desire for the 3 bedrooms, but were extremely happy with the entire experience.

Pretty much Ditto what Tim said.

We essentialy had the pool to ourself.

We stayed in Villa 7030 and found it to be the ideal place for us.

We will be back. :thumbsup2

When did you stay and how many were in your tree house villa? We stayed there Aug. 16-21 and there were 8 of us. 6 adults and 2 children

Did you like it? Absolutely loved it!! I want to purchase more points because that is where I want to stay in the future. I can't imagine a better spot that makes you feel secluded from the hustle and bustle at Disney

How was the pool? We used it very little. It's small. We did walk to the SSR main pool and that was nice. About a 10 minute walk.

How were the buses if you used them? We had cars, but also used the buses. I thought they worked fine. If you drive and get caught behind a bus, then be prepared to wait.

Did you find it convenient to get to the Carriage House? No big deal

Would you stay again? If i could live there I would

Did it meet or exceed your expectations? Best place we have ever stayed at Disney

I just booked my August 2010 stay at THV - I'm VERY excited and now I want to know all that I can about them. How many are there?
does it make a difference which one you stay in?
Are the bbq's charcoal?
Any other tips??
TIA

We are going from 12/4 to 12/13 at the treehouse villas. Can't wait and will let you know how it is:santa:

We loved our THV in July and are going back in December. We didn't have young children, so our experience may differ. We had no problems with buses. Didn't use the pool. Liked the privacy. Bunk beds too small for adults. We had 5 people. Living room is small, but we don't spend much time there. Deck was nice, but couldn't use it since it was so hot in July.

There are a few posts out there if you search for THV. I typed a supply list in one of them so people know what is supplied in the unit.

How many steps leading up to the treehouses? Will bell services deliver luggage and take it up/down for you?

Thanks.
Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. We're hoping our SSR resale passes ROFR since I'm already planning a trip before our family DCL cruise in '10!

The terrain around each unit is unique so it varies. I would guess that the stairways run 15-25 steps, depending upon which villa you are given.

Bell services can absolutely deliver and retrieve luggage.

Good luck on the resale!

When did you stay and how many were in your tree house villa?
August 2-9
For how long?
7 nights
Did you like it?
Very much so
How was the pool?
The THV pool was very relaxing. We typically had the whole place to ourselves whenever we'd go for a swim. At the most, there'd be 1 or 2 other people.
How were the buses if you used them?
The buses weren't anywhere near as bad as we'd thought they'd be. We tried a combination of waiting for the THV buses, and walking to the Grandstand. The walk only took 5 or 6 minutes, and usually got us better seats. Toward the end of the week, this is what we did every time.
Did you find it convenient to get to the Carriage House?
Yes, just hop on the THV bus and it takes you right to the Springs bus stop. The walk is only about 10 minutes if you don't want to do the bus.
Would you stay again?
Yes, the next time we have this number of people staying with us.
Did it meet or exceed your expectations?
Yes. The places are beautiful, and the logistics of getting around weren't nearly as bad as we thought they'd be. Now, if we could only find some door handles with locks on them, we'd be all set.
Thanks so much!!!:goodvibes

That's the same tree house we were in.

Say, you didn't happen to find that $100 bill I dropped, did you?
