I had a better sleep last night but I am still tired today.

More snow on the way for us in the next few days.

I am so over snow. I can't wait to get out of here. Only 3 more weeks and I will be in Florida

Hi Threadkillers!

I hope everyone is having a great day! We're playing cards tonight and then I'm packing this weekend. Headed to Disney on Monday and will return on Saturday - 6 days of me time in Disney.....can't wait!

I meet Colleen in Epcot for dinner on Friday - I'm sure she'll take pictures (gotta warn you, I'm a chubby broad now!). I guess I really do cook too much!

I am making a roasted chicken, potatoes Romanov, an Anniversary Crunch Salad (an original recipe) and a coconut cream pie. Although I did have a wee bit of trouble with my crust. It's delicious, but one side slipped down the pie plate, so it's not as high as the other side- I figure I'll cover it all with whipped cream anyway....

So....Gotta take a nap before I finish everything up! Y'all take care!

Yum Anniversary Crunch salad. Rick was just trying to describe that for someone last week. He was giving you rave reviews. Take my word for it peoples, it is delishious.

Now the coconut cream pie is probably delicious too but someone else can have my piece

Hello all,
I had to call in to work and take the day off. We have been getting lots of snow AGAIN. This time though, we havent seen the guy who normally plows our driveway. Its a really wet snow, my driveway is long and I know Id never make it out. Oh well..I can get Mike to drive me to work tomorrow morning with his 4wheel drive, but today I am stuck.

Soooo...I am making chicken soup. I just cant decide if I want to use rice or lentils.....

How cool, that you are meeting up with Colleen, Ann!.... Tell her we want LOTS of pictures of the Dream!....Have a good time in the world..

Hey don't worry about size..I know I've found a more then a few pounds over the last couple of years... Ive been trying to be a healthy eater but, .....
life is short...and food is GOOD!

Hi Everyone!

Back from cards and the girls lost EVERY hand!

Robin - you are SO sweet! I'm glad you liked my cooking! I wanted to make a chocolate cream pie, but the recipe I wanted to use was in a cookbook someone was borrowing. I tried a new crust recipe - it was good, but not great....

Betsy - Anniversary Crunch Salad is a salad I made up on mine and Tom's 24th Anniversary. We wanted a salad with some crunch to it....it's finely chopped romaine, toasted walnuts, craisins and small chunks (not grated) of Manchengo cheese with a creamy dressing that's garlicky and a mix between ranch and vinegarette. We like it a lot and everything is cut up small - much like a chop salad.

The potatoes Romanov (a new recipe) was really, REALLY good! Everyone loved it and went for seconds!

Well, I'm sleepy and I think it's time for beddy-bye! Betsy - good luck with the snow...

Isn't it beautiful?! I love the sunshine (why I'm here in Florida!). It's been lovely all week here. I'm going to hit rain on Tuesday in Disney, but if the weather forecast is correct - it'll be sunny the rest of the time!

I hope spring gets here soon for everyone. It's in the 80's here and I want it to stay - although that IS unseasonably warm. Normally it's low 70s.....but I'll take it!

I'd love to come and wander around with you but that sort of defeats the purpose of you going to Disney alone and enjoying the freedom to do what you want when you want to do it.

Maybe some day we can plan a "girls' trip to Disney Rick is not really a big fan of the parks either.

Just went food shopping. Makies fav cereal (Froot Loops), Apple Sauce (motts), Nesquick & Tootsie pops were all on sale today. Its like she called the Shoprite Sales Dept and told them what to put on sale.

Anyhoooo she is stocked up on some good sugar eats for awhile.

We did have snow this morning! Just a couple of inches, roads were clear because it is relatively warm. I was just really surprised to see every thing so =white and bright this morning when I woke up! It was not in the weather forecast. We are supposed to get some freezing rain overnight and then it is supposed to be 50 tomorrow.

Freezing rain and then 50's equal a mess in about 36 hours! I hope that everything either stays frozen or melts quickly!

I know you like the snow...I love the look of fresh snow and a piercing blue sky!

It is thundering and pouring down rain

Seems very strange with huge piles of snow and the ground still totally covered in snow

Hopefully the rain washes away some of this snow. But not too much or some people are going to have some water problems. If the ground is frozen and it pours, there is not really anywhere for the water to go except into people's basements.

Hello all...My driveway is now a ice rink...All I have to do is start my car and slide to the end....LOL
BUT we are having sunny and warmer weather today...So I am hoping it will be better for when I get home tonight...or I may have a hard time getting back up it!

I have work today, and I have to set up for a meeting. So I will be picking up the food.
I did the first page of the newsletter for March, yesterday!.. It always feel good to get that first page done...Its the hardest...the second page is the fun page to do...

We are under flood warnings here. It is pouring and like you tons of snow and nowhere for the water to drain to so we can expect lots of flooded roadways!

Isn't that lovely? I had to get the shop vac out yesterday to clean up the basement. Luckily it was only 1/4 inch or so.
