ZJO Threadkillers!
Sorry I've been MIA. I've had a lovely week.
Tom is no longer working - the market for $100K pools is slowing down and they had to downsize. We decided to watch our pennies and neither one of us work. So...we've been having fun! (Thanks God the Sister's trip, Christmas trip & Cruise are already paid for!)
I also made a batch of Limoncello. We tested it last night - it was amazing! A really smooth batch! I now have 3 bottles in my freezer waiting for the hot summer nights!
Betsy - We had a wonderful time with our neice visiting. I didn't do hardly any cooking. She requested sour cream dinner rolls and I made that cheesecake. However, she has a child's palate (chicken strips, pizza, etc) so it was easier to take her out. Our DD has two sick children on her hands so she's not coming this weekend!
Colleen - I watched your presentation. It looked like everyone was having a great time. Did I miss it? I didn't see a pic of you. You'll have to give your camera to someone next time for one shot. I'm glad Penny was found!
Robin - I'm like you....our Holly dog will come when you call her and we don't worry too much about her outside. However, because of hurricanes and the craziness that goes with them - we did have her micro-chipped in case we're ever separated.
PD & nsalz - I'm glad you had a good time in New York....sound like ya'll had lots of fun!
DU - I LOVED "Mama Mia". Truly - you have seen the three sisters in that movie. I'm the short, dumpy one with glasses who cooks! SWHNN is Merle Streeps character (she was a wild child) who has a daughter at one of the jumping off points in her life (DD graduating) and Tinknutt is holding onto her youth and LOVES her clothes...plus she's flirty! When the sister's get together - we're just like the three of them. It was eerie watching it - and sad watching it without my sisters! (P.S. The cook in me says NO to Fruit Loops for dinner - not matter HOW colorful you type it!)
CADZ - What did you finally decided for the weekend? How is your walking going?
Cally - it sounds like you've been busy. Are you still posting on your iPhone? How do you like it now that you've had it for a while?
Emmer - I'm glad you decided to come back and visit for a while. I'm the Threadkiller cook and one of the three sisters. The other two don't post often, but they're here!
Well, I'll post before this takes up an entire page. I've missed ya'll and I hope you're having a GREAT night!
so i'm trying not to give him any ideas...i did tell him that we have to go outside of Gilroy...so i would think we'd go to San Jose...San Fran would be nice too but i'll be really surprised if he does that; plus i have 17 mile walk on Sat a.m. & running a 10K sunday a.m. plus walking that back, so that i can get almost 12.5 miles in on Sunday....it will be a tiring weekend for sure....but the training is going very well & i'm really looking forward to the event which is only 6 wks from tomorrow
I'm starting to get peeved with Spirit Airlines.
...but it was verrrrrrrry good!got a clip board

!
What did ya think of Pierces singing?
Penny is fine, I am the one who's a mess from it![]()

I'm starting to get peeved with Spirit Airlines.
I had booked our return flight for 9:25pm so that we would have a whole day to do something at Disney.
First they moved it to 7:45pm departure, okay, still workable.
Now they moved it again to 6:05pm![]()
If you have to catch Magical Express 3 hours before your flight, doesn't really leave much time to do anything does it![]()
Especially since we are doing MNSSHP the night before.
I'm really beginning to wish that I had put another couple of days onto the end of the cruise.
That would drive me crazey too...I hope it doesn't get moved up anymore!!

It's kinda sad that you probably still need her help but that sometimes that help just makes matters worse.
Nsalz & PD, Callly, Betsy and Ann and all you other TKers and lurkers out there...Happy Thursday!
Yeah, I could call Spirit and complain but they have cancelled all the other flights, so it would not really do me much good![]()
It's a pain in the patootie though and quite disappointing.
I was looking forward to having another whole day in the parks before we went home.

and called the cops on my BIL
My BIL is one of the best dog owners I know and he wouldnt put any dog in a harmful situation...
...Having her there sure makes some things alot easier.
..
....
...I just dont think Ill get Mike to want to go to that one....
I may have to wait for the DVD...
...Is'nt a confirmation....a confirmation anymore???
....Whats the use of having one then?
....I havent flown anywhere in alot of years I know...But ...

...Im pretty sure my DS wouldnt want to see Mama Mia either....Unless he lets Lori pick...because he may feel bad for her as she is ready to pop any day now...and you KNOW she wont be going to the movies for quite awhile after the baby...
Hey I just may get to see Mama Mia after all

DU, you must be working alot again...or at least quite busy. Oily cooking is the worst! I got a vegetable oil residue on a couple things in my kitchen, the only thing that gets it off is spray nine but then if anything you clean has a color to it the spray nine cleans the color off as well! It's kinda sad that you probably still need her help but that sometimes that help just makes matters worse.
DU - I just saw "Dark Knight". I thought it was great. I just finished re-watching Batman Forever (don't ask why...it was just on) so I KNEW what was going to happen to Harvey Dent. That being said, I thought it was good - a little predictable, tho. I thought P. Brosnan singing was a hoot. I imagine it took a lot of chutzpah after being 007 to sing onscreen. Especially since he probably had an idea of what he sounded like!
DU,
Hows it going?....
Boy, you all almost make me want to rethink not going to Batman, but I think Ill just wait for that DVD also....
actually we are going to dinner and a movie with my DS, and DDIL on Monday..I told them to pick the movie....So who knows I may be going to see Batman afterall......Im pretty sure my DS wouldnt want to see Mama Mia either....Unless he lets Lori pick...because he may feel bad for her as she is ready to pop any day now...and you KNOW she wont be going to the movies for quite awhile after the baby...

Only ONCE in my life have I ever called the police, and that was around noon on 9/11/01 when the car in front of me on RT 80 blew up!
Mika is doing well again, my job search is getting me interviews but no promising job just yet...NJ unemployment was reinstated for people like me so it looks like I can start getting checks from the state again starting tomorrow.~
Penny is acting a bit weird, a little more skittish than usual. I am glad I can be home with her, I expect her to get better over the next few days - I hope.

Really?! Windex??? I gotta try that one tomorrow~
you are such a sweetheart DU, I can feel all your hugs from here...
![]()

yup! Windex!!!!!![]()
Didja ever see "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"??? The Father with the Windex...thats me!![]()
I agree Windex is amazing on grease. However, I don't care HOW big the zit is on my face - I am NOT putting windex on it!
