Pretty cool Colleen....

I'm about to head off to work.. just wanted to say HI to everyone..and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya!!;)

Colleen, I just got to watch your presentation.

How neat.

It would be really cool if a bunch of us could get together and attend like you all did last year.

If it was decided way in advance I'm pretty sure that I could get myself there.

It looks like a great place for a Threadkiller DISmeet:thumbsup2

Robin, I got plans in my head for a DIS gathering at next year's Magicmeet...I gotta run my ideas thru Fred first but am all in if you all want to come next year~

Hey DU! Guess what? I'm official! I got my first clip board today ;)

If anyone does a DU meet in Brooklyn, count me in!

The cool thing is, I come in here and my headache goes away. Did you guys put something in the water?

I'm not sure :scratchin

But a lot of us have been posting on this thread since 2003 or 2004 :scared1:

So, watch out.

If nothing else, we are an addicting bunch:thumbsup2

Plans for today..... Go to work ;) .... eat.... sleep....

:flower3: Have a good day everyone

I had no real plans for today...got woken up and thrown out of bed tho cause Dad lost our little dog!

He didn't mean to...she got outside when John was leaving for work and then thunder hit, she freaked out and ran! Apparently she found a little gap in the back fence cause I found her 3 hours later in a backyard a street over from us. John came home cause I called him in a frenzy, crying. I didn't want to blame dad but was having a hard time with it and couldn't even talk to him while we were looking.

We have (had now cause John filled it and the gap in) a HUGe groundhog hole in where the pond was supposed to go. We called roto rooter out cause they have one of those cable cameras and they checked the hole for the dog. Thank GOD she wasn't in there. My neighbor and I started expanding our search area and I found her in a yard next to a business that's on the highway near here.

I am forever grateful that she was scared (enough to bite me when I tried to pick her up) but ok. It's cool how the neighbors and cops and even the roto rooter guy joined us in the search for my little Penny.

As far as the meet at the meet, I want to do a whole seperate meet so I can join in. If it were held during the event I would never have time to sit. Those of you who went with me last year know how busy I get. There are rooms available friday and saturday night and even sunday morning if we really wanted to go that far into the weekend.

I'm going to take a shower now and try to relax.

Tomorrow I have a conference call with the Musikfest group and Friday I got approved to get some pictures at the Warped Tour. My weekend will be spent with hubby and then we have three birthdays to handle next week. My FIL is on Monday and then my daughter and sister share a birthday on Thurdsay. Musikfest starts next Friday so if I don't pop in it's only cause I am crazy busy.

I am always thinking of you guys, even when I am not here.

Betsy, you are officially my newest MySpace friend! and DU, I am still curious to see yous if you could PM me a link please???

Have a Magical Day my Threadkiller friends,

LYMI!

colleen.

Can you believe after all that, my FIL let her out just now and she beelined for the same hole in the fence! There's no way I woulda let John leave without fixing it but Wow! ami glad he fixed it! (stupid dog :( )

Colleen, I'm so glad that you found Penny safe.

I can only imagine how scared you must have been when you found out she was missing.

:scared:

I'm just getting to the point of thinking of letting Duster run free but I'm so worried that something will happen to her.

I can't imagine not letting a cat free to roam though, so I will soon be opening the door and hoping that she comes back safely.

Mischief is really good outside. If I open the door and call her name she will come running and she doesn't seem to wander very far away.

Yeah...I was a mess...now she's hiding in the tub from the thunder storm  :dog:

Cats are funny. They know where and what home is. They know not to go too far from a reliable food source.

Penny was just being scared and stupid. She doesn't think or listen when she's scared. Unfortunately, she is afraid of rain and thunder and fireworks and motorcyles and pretty much any loud noises. Which I guess, again, is a good thing cause it kept her away from the highway. I am literally two lots away from a main highway.

ZJO Threadkillers!

Sorry I've been MIA. I've had a lovely week.

Tom is no longer working - the market for $100K pools is slowing down and they had to downsize. We decided to watch our pennies and neither one of us work. So...we've been having fun! (Thanks God the Sister's trip, Christmas trip & Cruise are already paid for!)

I also made a batch of Limoncello. We tested it last night - it was amazing! A really smooth batch! I now have 3 bottles in my freezer waiting for the hot summer nights!

Betsy - We had a wonderful time with our neice visiting. I didn't do hardly any cooking. She requested sour cream dinner rolls and I made that cheesecake. However, she has a child's palate (chicken strips, pizza, etc) so it was easier to take her out. Our DD has two sick children on her hands so she's not coming this weekend!

Colleen - I watched your presentation. It looked like everyone was having a great time. Did I miss it? I didn't see a pic of you. You'll have to give your camera to someone next time for one shot. I'm glad Penny was found!

Robin - I'm like you....our Holly dog will come when you call her and we don't worry too much about her outside. However, because of hurricanes and the craziness that goes with them - we did have her micro-chipped in case we're ever separated.

PD & nsalz - I'm glad you had a good time in New York....sound like ya'll had lots of fun!

DU - I LOVED "Mama Mia". Truly - you have seen the three sisters in that movie. I'm the short, dumpy one with glasses who cooks! SWHNN is Merle Streeps character (she was a wild child) who has a daughter at one of the jumping off points in her life (DD graduating) and Tinknutt is holding onto her youth and LOVES her clothes...plus she's flirty! When the sister's get together - we're just like the three of them. It was eerie watching it - and sad watching it without my sisters! (P.S. The cook in me says NO to Fruit Loops for dinner - not matter HOW colorful you type it!)

CADZ - What did you finally decided for the weekend? How is your walking going?

Cally - it sounds like you've been busy. Are you still posting on your iPhone? How do you like it now that you've had it for a while?

Emmer - I'm glad you decided to come back and visit for a while. I'm the Threadkiller cook and one of the three sisters. The other two don't post often, but they're here!

Well, I'll post before this takes up an entire page. I've missed ya'll and I hope you're having a GREAT night!

There were a hundred other photogs at the event, if and when I find some of me I will post it for you :)

As much as I handle at this event it is ironic how few pictures I wind up in ;)

Penny is fine, I am the one who's a mess from it :worried:

You two work so well together, I trust that you and Tom will recover from the job loss just fine. Wasn't he semi-retired before? Got any idea what direction you two will head into jobwise?

Tom and I figure we're done with working. It's time to play! As much as he enjoyed the job - he's happy to be foot-loose and fancy-free. He was completely retired when the company asked him to join them.

As good as we worked together - we have more fun playing together!

I'm currently reading lurkyloo's wedding report. Her wedding pics are amazing, so I thought I'd check her trip report. Granted - I'm speed reading, but she had an amazing wedding. It's not often I skip to other threads, so I figured this was noteworthy!

Like I always say, you two are so sweet together

Absolutely noteworthy! Did you tell your sisters you are posting your own pictures now? That was noteworthy too!

I wish I had time to read trip reports. Looking for a job in this market takes some long hard hours :faint: I have one or two prospects but nothing noteworthy just yet.
