Well I had my MRI today. I should hear about the results early next week. In the meantime we are off to Six Flags New England tomorrow for their opening day. I really need to find out how this vertigo will affect my ability to go on the more intense rides.

I'm sorry you still have a sad face, Stapharoonie.

I hope the MRI helps figure out what to do to help you get better, Phil.
And I hope you enjoy your day at Six Flags!
You will be going on some of the intense rides??

:sunny:

hey phil, maybe some spinning and up and downing will make you more dizzy and cancel the other dizziness out. :p

It's worth a try.

why the :( Steph

hi  montessori and ripsaw, it good to see you again ::yes::

 Robin!

My husband is out of town tonight and I'm enjoying surfing the Disboards!
And Ebaying too! ;)

Still not feeling good Steph?

Brer- I saw "Home on the Range" - I thought of you immediately :teeth: and that was on Tuesday night before your posting. I started thinking maybe you wrote that story too.;)

Steph....:( :( :( :(

I wish you were :D :D :D :D

Hope you start to get some relief soon.

Well I'm back from the season opening day of Six Flags New England and must say I noticed a major improvement in the attitude and professionalism of the workers there. I was greeted in every store I entered and even had several employees just say hi as they passed me and my family as we walked around. My DW and DD had several very casual and polite conversations with other employees. Hope this isn't just opening day hype that will go away as crowds and temperatures rise thru the summer.

By the way I went on 3 coasters and 3 spinning rides over a 4 hour period and suffered very little problems with my vertigo. Maybe the nightmare is finally over and I can get on with my life.

Still have to get the results of my balance test and MRI scan from my doctor sometime this upcoming week but I think it might be over. 2-1/2 months of this is enough already.

sounds like you had a good day phil. Glad you could handle the rides so you didn't have to miss out on the fun.

2bemarried, you didn't kill this thread;)

I echo what Cruisin' said...sounds like a great day Phil....best of wishes and good thoughts you get this behind you....

MaMudDuck  wasn;t that a nice surprise in "Home on the Range"? I was dancing in the aisle.....nope...didn't write it...wish i had :D

KimRaye :wave2: ....I was thinking more along the lines of you replacing your "Easter Bunny" that you had on your signature....it was cute!

Well, things have returned to normal ...well..normal for me...I got April 15th behind me... taxes, dinner and a movie...what a day...

did you know IRS stands for <b>I</b>'m <b>R</b>eally <b>S</b>cared ? I told an agent that one time at an audit....he smiled and said my kilt, throat spray, adams apple brace and my at-home phone booth were not allowable business expenses......

My husband woke me up this morning and said..................come and look at your cat........

So I looked outside and there was Subway, totally caked in mud and looking like he had been out in a thunderstorm, but the ground was all dry. At first I thought he might have fallen in the pond but he wouldn't get that muddy if he did that. I think that he might have fallen in the creek and had to pull himself out. The hair on his head was all spiked up, just the way boys like to wear it :p

It was so funny (once I decided that he wasn't actually hurt ;) )

We couldn't just leave him like that because he would never have been able to clean it all off of himself, a lot of it was already dried on.

So I filled the tub with a few inches of water and I put Subway in it.

Well, Subway was 12 1/2 pounds of indignant kitty!!! I held him in there while my husband poured water on him with a cup and tried to wipe him down with a cloth. The water was totally brown.

He looks quite a bit better now but he still has a lot of work to do, he will be washing that stuff off for a month I think.

Now our other cat, Mischief, obviously didn't like the cat torture noises that were coming from behind the closed bathroom door.
When we tried to talk to her afterwards, she hissed and growled which is something she never, ever does, cause she is just a little sweetheart.

Things have settled down now and are pretty much back to normal, one washing cat...... one sleeping, no longer hissing and growling cat.

And the best part is..........I only came away with about a 1" scratch on my arm

::yes::

So..............how has your day been so far..................
