I made mention of the 1000 mile parade i was in during June of 2002....
the parade was called the 2002 Historic Motorama....
1 Corvette from each production year was selected by the museum as participants...
I took my oldest GD...who was 8 years old at the time...
we all met in Flint MI....at a park in front of the Sloan Museum ..ths started on 6/21....
then we traveled through the midwest for a 1000 miles with noteable stops at Flint, Detroit, Saginaw, Warren and Dearborn Michigan....
Joliet Illinois down Route 66.....Effingham Illinois....St Louis.....Collinsville Illinois....Evanville Indiana....
On to Bowling Green for 3 days of fun and parties...
anyway...in St Louis, a picture was taken at Kleener Park with the arches in the background...a 4 foot by 5 foot picture is on display in he mueum and an array of small bricks surround a BIG brick commemorating our event.....
I was wondering if you had noticed either..
plus...we paraded through the Corvette Assembly Plant...the first and so far as I know...the only time GM has allowed it....
the rest of the family met up with the Granddaughter and I in Bowling Green...they stayed 2 days...and...we went to that Wendy's...and yep...it was slow...busy too...but oh so slow...
