On the Mika front - Good News!

She's going thru chemotherapy and the doc gave her a really good prognosis!! 80 to 93% chance of remission~the better part, the breeder gave us a vet we can afford. We're talking 1500 - 2000 cost over the course of six months. Not too shabby...no we just wait and see if it works. She goes back in two weeks for another blood panel.

On the Mika front - Good News!

She's going thru chemotherapy and the doc gave her a really good prognosis!! 80 to 93% chance of remission~the better part, the breeder gave us a vet we can afford. We're talking 1500 - 2000 cost over the course of six months. Not too shabby...no we just wait and see if it works. She goes back in two weeks for another blood panel.

Glad to hear that Mika has a good chance Colleen.

It is a lot of money but as long as you are comfortable with it that's all that matters.

I have spent over 1000.00 at a time on a cat before so I know how it is.

TW - that IS good news on Mika. I hope all goes well, both physically and financially!

DalPal - I liked your Easter pics. I had a dozen family members over for dinner - our tables were very much alike!

T1981 - It may be true that DisUnc hasn't had a zit, but I'd check his drivers license - I think he can buy booze!

Robin - we're the same style of posters....including our reasons for NOT posting! Sometimes I think I really should put my powers on invisibility to work!

I ran into Tinknutt today at a restaurant. She & her DH have friends visiting from their RVing trips and they're gearing up for their summer & fall. They're going to spend it in the Pacific North West. Her friends are going to park their RV and spend 8 months in Europe - how cool is that?! SWHNN and I are heading to Disney sometime this month for a day. She'll be there for several days while her Daughter competes in the State High Q competition.

Gotta scoot - my floors need mopped (didn't do it on Monday).

Hi all.....hope all is well....i have some good & some bad....

hummmmm...the bad 1st - i have a HORRIBLE big ole dent in my new car made me SOOOOO sad that i couldn't enjoy the Daughtry/Bon Jovi concert as much as i wanted last night. The darn dent happened right as we arrived at the Shark Tank for the concert. My purse strap was blocking me putting the shifter all the way into park, but i didn't realize it; turned the car off - took foot off brake & my car very slowly rolled a few inches right into a HUGE round CEMENT post....UGGGGHHHH - i was practically in tears....and had to keep telling myself it's only a car & it can be fixed (once Ryan's car gets out of the shop that is).....haven't i had enough car expenses this month???????

So the good news was the concert....it was AWESOME & i sure felt bad i couldn't/didn't enjoy it as much as i would have.....

I totally missed my last milestone, went by so fast I was 50 posts in before I noticed I'd passed 10,000. I am happy with a life spent talking to my Disney fiends tho...ummm, I mean friends

Brenda, sorry about your car....how bad is the dent? I have never bought a brand spankin new car, only used...to me, I guess, the dents are part of the character of the car---as much as the stickers, magnets, disney antenna toppers and the dream catcher hanging from the rearview mirror are. Once we have them, I don't bother to remove them.

EVERYONE (but me) is at work today!!! I actually have the whole house to myself This has got to be the first time in three months that I truly have peace and quiet around me. And once MIL is gone I'll only have one dog barking at all the neighbors! Penny is my only dog that barks, Mika might let one out but only when someone actually comes into my yard...the shi'tzu's bark at everything!

I have a new project to work on, a self portrait. The funny thing is, I was looking thru some pics last night and alot of them were a reflection of me with my camera up to my face....I think I'm gonna play on that and see what I can come up with. The twist on the self portrait is to make it like a mosaic, IOW, made out of pieces of other photos.

This morning I heard a crash that sounded like it was coming from the garage! I thought DH was home for something he forgot - then I thought maybe someone was trying to break in! I couldn't find anything wrong anywhere! Well, I opened the closet door and one of the rods fell down! We have an awesome California Closet that DH built, so it's not the entire closet, just a 3' top rod holding (of course) my clothes. So....today was go through the closet day!
