I can't remember who it was who asked about Tim Tams, but they are the most fabulous chocolate biscuit ever invented! They are two nicely flavoured milk chocolate biscuits with chocolate cream between them coated in milk chocolate(they also come in dark which is my favourite!). Delicious with a hot drink if you nibble off the diagonally opposite corners and use it like a straw then pop it into your mouth just as it gets all soft and gewy from the heat of the drink. Commonly referred to as a Tim Tam straw.
Chocolate coated Vegemite sounds foul even to me! A tip on Vegemite consumption, a little bit goes a long way. You should still be able to see what you're spreading it on beneath the spread or it's too strong. A common mistake. A spoonful in a pot of Cauliflower and bacon soup is MMMmmmmm....
If anyone wants to trade US treats for Aussie ones I'm open to it.

Tim Tams sound great. It's good that you have a process for eating them! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: SOunds like here where everyone has a way of eating Oreos!

I like oreo's. I have to be in the right mood to eat them though and I have to have them with milk. I can't eat a plain oreo.

I like most any kind of food. I'm not picky at all.

Bwahahahahahah~ :lmao: :surfweb: :lmao: :wizard:

John's doing well :woohoo: :wizard: I got home about a half hour ago, he was sleeping when I left. He DOESN't NEED CASTS!!! :woohoo:

He's got two pins holding each elbow on and wires holding them in. They say he can keep them in there forever unless they try to come out on their own after he heals. If they do, he only needs a local anesthetic to have them removed. He should be able to shower by Sunday. His comment was now he's gonna set off metal detectors :upsidedow

Thankfully, going potty is the only thing he's managed to do by himself. :rolleyes1 Thank you for the Kiwi detail! I'll be sure to share all of that with DH when he gets home tomorrow. seriously. :teacher:

Wow Robin. Milk in bags??? That's a new one for me~I'll have to check those out whenever my fam heads up into the great white north. We all intend to visit there in the near future. Are passports a requirement to cross yet?

Cally, keep taking those pictures girl...no pun intended but you really do have a good eye for it.

Hubby's doctor says I deserve an incredible Valentines Day for all that I've done for him the last few days :flower3:

I really like the ortho docs...and all the staff at the hospital he went to...great great people all around, very friendly, very personable~

~I just wanted to check in before bed...I can hear it calling me~

Goodnight my Threadkillers
Awesome news on John....& here's some great news on passports for Mexico Canada & the caribbean...

"U.S. citizens may begin applying in advance for the new U.S. Passport Card beginning February 1, 2008, in anticipation of land border travel document requirements. We expect cards will be available and mailed to applicants in spring 2008.

The passport card will facilitate entry and expedite document processing at U.S. land and sea ports-of-entry when arriving from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The card may not be used to travel by air. It will otherwise carry the rights and privileges of the U.S. passport book and will be adjudicated to the exact same standards.

The Department of State is issuing this passport card in response to the needs of border resident communities for a less expensive and more portable alternative to the traditional passport book. The card will have the same validity period as a passport book: 10 years for an adult, five for children 15 and younger. For adults who already have a passport book, they may apply for the card as a passport renewal and pay only $20. First-time applicants will pay $45 for adult cards and $35 for children.

To facilitate the frequent travel of U.S. citizens living in border communities and to meet DHS’s operational needs at land borders, the passport card will contain a vicinity-read radio frequency identification (RFID) chip. This chip will link the card to a stored record in secure government databases. There will be no personal information written to the RFID chip itself. "

If you only travel to these countries - this sure seems to be easier & more affordable - especially for large families
here's the site if anyone wants more info

Good Morning Starshine!!! The earth says hello :wave2:

:lmao: (love that movie :teeth:)

Once when I was in NYC with James, I stopped in a coffee place, and one of the stars from that movie (ditsy girl) who was also in a play on Broadway at the time, got into a whole 20 minute conversation about Elvis!:lmao:

I can't remember who it was who asked about Tim Tams, .
Tim Tams are available in NYC....Macy's sells them. I use to get them all the time when I worked there as a teen!:thumbsup2

I think I am the only person in North America who doesn't like Oreo's.

Nope! I can't stand them! Yuck! I don;t like that white stuff in the middle!
:scared1: They are a STAPLE item in my house.

here's a few more of my digital pages from NYC trip
BROOKLYN!:thumbsup2 My hometown! Also I worked down the block from the WTC, and ate lunch in Battery Park on the nice days!

Did you know that me & Aisling graduated from the same High School?

My pointy finger is getting sore from all the scrolling.

Robin I just checked my pm's. Your name was spelled wrong.

Poor DU...his intentions were good. ;)

Okay, that's good to hear.

I thought maybe I was getting senile, like some people seem to think:lmao:

Colleen, glad to hear that John is doing as well as can be expected.

I think PD answered your passport question.

( I too was thinking the same thing, but didn't quite know how to phrase it! Thank goodness Robin is back and can ask all the questions we really want the answers too!:rotfl: )

Well SOMEONE has to ask the tough questions, so I guess it might as well be me :rolleyes1

We're going to take her son and my boys to Monkey Joes. I'm not really sure what Monkey Joes is though. :confused3 :lmao:

I think it's a play area with a lot of big blow up bouncy things. :upsidedow

Have a good day everyone :wave2:

Have fun with your friend and the boys :yay:

I absolutely love Tim Tams. There is another poster from the DISboards who occasionally would send me some :goodvibes

I'd be happy to send you any treats that you would like but they would be coming from Canada.

Anything you have a hankering for, you just let me know and I will see if I can find them for you and send them over.

ALOT of freaky things happened in '77!
:dancer: :darth: :tilt:

Wow, you must have done a lot of research on history to know that ::yes::

Given your tender age and all ;)

Brenda, love your picture pages.

Milk in bags:

It comes with 3 bags of milk inside a bigger bag.

You can also get chocolate milk like this too.

We do have milk in cardboard cartons and plastic jugs too.

Pick your favourite :thumbsup2
