Hey, I just got a cool gift handed to me :cheer2:

Friends of ours are British and went home to England for Christmas with their grown children.

They brought me back a pair of English license plates for my collection :cheer2:

Now I will have one for the garage wall collection and one for my Mini (when I GET my Mini :teeth: )

Very cool... :smooth: Just out of curiousity.. what U.S. states do you have?

:sad2: no, got any old ones laying around going to waste :confused3
Maybe, I'll check with DH....(invisible ink...I'm not in here, supposed to be hanging out with DH) :ssst:

A question for Mandy.

The license plates I received are large rectangular in shape about 6 x 12 inches or 15 x 30 cms.

Our licence plates are roughly 52 x 11 cms :)

Well it's nearly 11pm over here, so I'm off to bed - night, night, I'll try and catch up with you tomorrow :wave2:

I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Have to run out and check the wall. :teeth:

Yes, not bad.

Most of them were given to me in trade for a Hawaiin licence plate that I had. They are not very easy to get ahold of.

A friend found it in a recycling depot and pulled it out for me.

An older relative on Rick's side is an avid collector and he didn't have a Hawaii plate. I used to tease him about it all the time, that I had one and he didn't ;)

One day I decided that I would just give the Hawaiin plate since he was older than me and he would probably get a lot of enjoyment from it. I figured I might get it back someday :confused3 I told him to leave it to me in his will. :smooth:

Anyways, in exchange for that one plate he gave me about 15 plates of states that he had extras of. THAT's why I have such a large collection already ;)

Some vacation pictures to share:

Our sideways cabin aboard the Disney Wonder. We actually liked the layout of this cabin a lot and we are booked to be in that same cabin for the Threadkillers cruise. Always hoping for an upgrade though.

Beautiful Robin! Thank you

Will it be just hubby and you on 010707:boat: ?

Of course not.

I'm bring Ann and Tom and Betsy and Mike and Mandy and Paul and family and hopefully a whole bunch more of you guys along with me ;)

Yes, so far it is just the two of us. I know that Liz would come in a heartbeat but she'd have to miss the first week back to college again and I'm not sure that's such a good idea.
