:grouphug: Aw, Betsy, I was just thinking about Sultan today. I'm sure that you still turn around and expect him to be there. :worried:

Hopefully Einstein is helping to fill in that hole, even just a tiny bit, that Sultan left behind.

Yeah..I miss him  ...mostly in the morning when he use to jump up and snuggle close to me and snooze with me...

Einstein,
Likes to be with me in the morning too..He just loves chewing on me :crazy2: ...but Im sure he'll grow into a snuggler too...Just not as big... :teeth:

LThornton (we'll shorten your name sooner or later, so I'll call ya LT!) Welcome to the coziest corner of the DisBoards and glad you're here! I'm gonna cruise, too. One of these days I promise to catch up on the cruise thread, but I have a hard enough time keeping up with this one!

But did she tell you the girl can COOK!!!! ::yes::

Hi all

Just a quick note gotta scoot to work. :cool1:

Welcome LT....I'm still working on the cruise :ssst:

Chat later :grouphug:

:faint: :faint:

We got very chatty lastnight didn't we??? :rotfl:

Good Morning TK'ers!!!

Wow rainy morning here today!! Seems dark and gloomy outside... today is one of those days that I just want to stay in bed

I started watching Elijah on Tuesday. Boy, I don't remember it being this hard. He is one active little boy! :hyper:

He just turned 5 yrs old and is on the slow side. I want to say he is a special needs child but he has not really been diagnosed with anything. He goes to a special school for half the day then comes to me around noon.

He can't form sentences. He mostly repeats everything you say to him but he can identify colors and items. He doesn't not know the concept of sharing or group activities but that may be due to him being the only child. My days have been busy lately. :bitelip:

Well hope everyone has a good day.. I need to go see what all the chat is about.. :moped:

We tend to use plum sauce around here, or sweet and sour or barbeque sauce.

Does anybody else use plum sauce or is it a regional thing.

I've gotten used to Honey Mustard from travelling and going to Disney though.

I've never tried plum sauce.. Is it sweet or tangy? :confused3 I love honey mustard!

Morning tinknutt. You keep working on that cruise, because we'd really love to hear you sing karaoke with Ann :goodvibes

Morning Cally. So you have a challenge with your new "parttime child". It must be very different for you since both of your boys are so advanced. Do you think it will work out for you or is it going to be too much :confused3 Maybe being around your boys will help this little guy. I hope so.

Is he good natured or does he get easily frustrated and get into tempers?

Plum sauce is not really tangy, it's more sweet. I have gotten used to honey mustard because of travelling and having no choice and I like it okay now but I usually ask for plum sauce when I'm around here.

 HI KIM!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop peeking around corners and stay awhile. We are missing you around here :(

I have no plans yet for today other than to pick Liz up from the hospital around 2pm and take her to the dentist for 2:45 and the kitchen guy is coming at 5pm and I have dance classes from 6 til 7:45.

:scratchin Hmmmm, I guess that I DO have plans for the day, just doesn't feel like it since I have the morning and early afternoon free :rotfl2:

Morning all,

Just a quick hello......Its my Thurs. ...so I have to go get my mother moving...and get myself ready to go by 10:30...... :moped:

Have a good one everybody....

Susan,
Im with Robin...You keep working on the cruise...It would be a blast to have at least two of the trio....I am one of three sisters also...Im the youngest...when the three of us get together ...watch out! :rotfl2:

See ya later guys

Mornin' folks! :goodvibes

Wow, is it usually this chatty... took me a little bit to catch up from my last post! My computer is being a pain in the buttocks :badpc: so I checked in when i got to work today.. it's quiet here so i'm being checked on for outburst of laughter reading everything! :rotfl:

Like the name LT! I'm trying to learn everyone's actual name so i don't holler "tinknutt" when i come across each one of you (keep working on her to go guys!!!)

BP... u r hilarious! Life is pretty entertaining in your home i'm sure! :rotfl2:

Cally... we have plenty of room for extra to dance along beside us! :thumbsup2

Robin, Betsy, Ann... I think we should keep an eye out for Wendy, we may end up on the wrong end of her pranks! I think she sabatoged the ice cream machine!

Hello U and everyone else i may have forgotten to mention! I promise i will learn all you guys! I have a cheat sheet  i must admit :guilty:

P. S. other than my 3 kids (DH, DS, & DD) i have 5 more.. a black lab Gunner, a bassett hound (who luvs hunting squirrels) Ellie Mae (name fits, huh), 2 jack russells Skye & Jasmine.. (named after Dis Princess), & a border collie mix Rubbit (we didn't name her, we adopted her from an abusive home :( )

Kelly-
You've got a houseful!! Our lab has really slowed down this last year. I've had the "talk" with our kids just so it won't be a surprise when one day he's just not around anymore. DS will be the most upset as it is HIS :dog: dog. DD got a kitten just before christmas. She named her Howie. (After Howie Carr, anybody else in the north east listen to him?) Howie has somehow evolved into my cat. Cora does't really like her. :cat:

Not to worry people, I'm not smart enough to set anybody up, I just enjoy the moment. And I NEARLY peed my pants,......I got to the bathroom in time. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I wish we could keep them inside :guilty: We put up an underground fence to keep them all together in our yard... they have a huge area to run in! Plus their doggy home has heat and air :thumbsup2 We just put up a new home and i can't stand the thought of all of that dog hair and muddy paws everywhere!

Oh no, don't tell BP THAT :rotfl2:

Morning Betsy, have a good lunch.

I was bad and picked up McDonalds for breakfast after I dropped Liz off at the hospital (for new threadkillers Liz is my daughter aged 18 (19 in May) training to be a nurse and Alex is my son ripe old age of 22, already a qualified nurse and finishing up his paramedic program )

Anyways, Alex just got home after doing his paramedic shift and coerced me into picking up McDonald's breakfast on my way home :sad2: Bad son, neither one of us needs it ;)

Now he is sleeping in the lazyboy chair in the living room, I don't know why he doesn't just go to bed :confused3

 Kelly, Wendy. Anything exciting happening today?

I've got a cat looking at me from outside in the basement window well. I think he'd like in the house :lmao:

:ssst:

Don't wake the sleeping baby :teeth: At least he is getting good use out of the new chair. :thumbsup2

He wants to be up in about 1/2 hour or so anyway. His girlfriend is home from University for the week and this is the first time he has had enough time off to spend any time with her.

I can tell you that I am wiped out come dinner time... I think I can handle it though. I would feel so bad to tell his parents that I have changed my mind and can't watch him. :worried:
Cruisin said:

That is exactly what we were thinking... The first day we met up Dante and DeVaughn got to play with him a little and they figured out right away how to communicate with him..

But since Tuesday Elijah's parents have been picking him up early (before the kids get home from school) so they have not had a chance to play with him again.

Believe me.. I do look forward to the kids getting home to give me some relief :lmao: but so far Elijah's been leaving right before they get home.
Cruisin said:

For the most part he is good natured. At times he will get frustrated and start babbling and screaming...but it's not for long. He will quickly find something else to do that will entertain him.

He was trying to go into my bedroom and I kept telling him "no" and he didnt like that much..after about 5mins he ran to Dante and DeVaughn's room.

At one point we were sitting down watching cartoons and he jumped in my lap and started to bite me.. Well actually he was trying to bite me... :scared:

At another time he had fruit snacks and would put them in his mouth and get them all sticky and try to stick them in my hair. :crazy2: I didn't notice what he was doing at first and he managed to get one stuck in my hair... :headache:

:bitelip: :smooth:
