Today was the funeral for Bob - I thought he was around 41, but he JUST turned 39. He had a military funeral with full honors. It was very moving. They also did a wonderful slide show of his life. He may not have lived long, but he LIVED! The 21-Gun Salute started the flood works....
Tink - Have fun at work! We'll miss you tonight! If you noticed on DalPal's post "I wonder if Harriet has a sister?". That's because, while she may be the sherrif, I'm Harriet Nelson - vacuuming in pearls and cooking! Can you believe it? (sorta inside joke - tinknutt & my other sister have given me the nick name of Martha Stewart - BEFORE the insider trading!).
TW - Awesome....love vacation! I know I'm excited about the September sister's trip to WDW. Gonna be hard to wait THAT long!
Cally - give our best birthday wishes to Roger. Tink would LOVE the low-country boil supper - she's crazy about shrimp & crab. Me, I see carbs in the potatoes & corn and I'm allergic to shellfish.
DalPal - That's exactly how I got my kitty (long gone) medicine. She was a real fighter though. She wouldn't look at me for hours and would poop in the living room - just for spite. Don't ask me why, but I loved that cat!
Robin - Good luck with the meds. Also, congrats on the weigh in! You're one hot momma! Liz and Alex as a nurse, huh? As you probably noticed, tinknutt is a nurse - she deliver's baby's for a living and will patch up a family member in a pinch!
Kim - How's the weekend plans? Got a ton of things to do (as usual)? Congrats on your weight loss, too!
Ophie - good luck on the move. I LOVE moving. With DH in the military for 35 years, it was a good thing I did. You get rid of all the stuff you don't use and get a clean start in a new home. Now that we've retired, I try to go through my stuff on a fairly routine basis and get rid of clutter. DH just went through a bunch of old files and shred, shred, shred!
BrerPapa - I hope you're catching up and we get lots and lots of posts from you tonight. Do you wanna be an honorary sister? Tink and I have a really cool brother who we've made an honorary sister....but he doesn't wear the sister ring that the 3 of us do.
DD & DGS are staying the night with a friend in the area - we'll meet up again for more play tomorrow. We bounced and bounced on Nana's bed last night. Then we karaoke'd. He was SO cute. He held the mic and "Lalalalala'd" the whole time!
