PD...I don't know how I missed MIL's Christmas/BIL story before. Holy cow....she's incredible. We will have a little champagne when she leaves for Florida!!! Maybe you can take pictures of BIL's baby pictures and sneak them in there. That would probably pp her off, but it would be funny! If you do get to talk to BIL again before he leaves, tell him I said hi and Happy New Year!

You know I've wondered what the big deal is when all I COULD do is have a male pretend to be Roger... They wouldn't know the difference....

Mine always tries to make her putdowns sound nice.

Showed her a flower garden I made once. She says.... oh,how pretty but you are going to have to keep the weeds out of there

or..... when we get to so and so's house, I'm sure they'd appreciate it if we took our shoes off at the door

Now I never take my shoes off at home because I just like to wear my shoes all the time but I also always take my shoes off when I go into someone elses house unless I know in advance that it is okay not to (like at my mom's house)

I can think of a ton of them

I just let her talk and ignore whatever she says

On the other hand I try to be very careful what I say to my kids and their mate of choice at the time. I don't want to treat my kids the way my MIL treats us.

So to everyone with mother in law or even mother troubles. You are definitely not alone.

DU have a great time! DO NOT VOLUNTEER for the hypnotist tonight...that cannot end well! Hope you and your friend win lots of $$$$$$ this afternoon!

OK latest update....MIL just calls tro say that when she was at church today BIL booked a flight for tonight at 7:00 instead of his 10:00 am flight tomorrow. She says its cause we're going to have a big storm (3 inches of snow is not a big storm in NY) and he won't be able to get out of the airport. (We flew out of Albany once when we had 18 inches of snow and it was still falling) But DH and I know he's just ready to get oput of her house. ANyway DH asked if she took any pictures of BIL. SHe says no, when have I had time for that? He's been living at her house for a week!!!!! They are leaving for the airport at 2:00. His flight is not until 7pm. Only an hour to get to the airport. She says there is no time to take pictures between now and 2:00! I guess it's important to get to the airport 4 hours before the flight! Anway DH just grabbed the camera and said I'm going over there to take some pictures so I don't have to hear about this for the rest of my life! Oh I can't wait until next Sunday!

You're MIL is funny too!!!

Ahhh, does your BIL know about this whole picture thing? If all else fails you could have him email a few pics...

Oh yea about the storms....

I was watching the weather channel all lastnight...

We are having some bad storms come through and headed north. I guess you guys are getting lots of snow.

It's been raining cats and dogs since lastnight. I woke up at around 4am to loud thunder and heavy winds. I thought the house was going to blow away It was very scary....

It has not stopped raining yet.... the backyard is about to be flooded

Mine is being ok...we always got along when things were good. She just made one really big, really ugly mistake. I still intend to pin her down and make her explain herself before this is over.

That's exactly what i'd do & have him (BIL) really lay into them for messing this up a "4TH" time.....

What game does he play? BIL has Halo parties.... he invites his buddies over and they play Halo online all night long....

I don't know how they do that I guess if you're having fun time flies..and before you know it, it's morning...

he plays them all...Halo included...but he got Gears of War 4 (i think is the name) for Xmas - he actually got 2 so needs to trade one in...his friend Kaohu or Kiwi was here most of the evening...i took him home around 11...he had a baseball game today...he plays on a travel team...so couldn't spend the night. Kiwi gave Ryan one of those games...we gave him a DL ticket & taking him with us in Feb - we're going the 29th....never been to DL on 2/29 before but they don't have school that day....sooooo should be a good wkend. Oh btw - his grand plan of staying awake all day didn't work; he fell asleep this a.m. about 7 watching TV - and is still asleep

we've had the last two nights of rain...but we've been lucky with nice days

Xmas with DD & DBF & other good friends tonite....making mexican....tamales - enchiladas...rice - salad - chips/salsa....so gotta hit the store here pretty soon....

Thanks...should be a FUN night for sure....enchiladas are done & ready to pop into the oven (just need to steam the tamales)...& will just throw the salad together at the last minute....made this really yummy bean dip (all done in the crock pot) so it's easy too!!! Bought a VERY SMALL cheesecake for dessert...do NOT want any of that left in my house...YIKES - i can't wait to get back to the gym & a normal healthy diet...

Morning everyone!....
Mike got today off...not planned, but we got about 8 inches of snow last night. ...That wasnt planned either ..

As long as it all gets cleared up by tonight. ..Cause I am really looking forward to going out for a change!...

We had a good time a Lt. Mikes birthday party...LOTS of kids...But lots of fun too....

I still havent gotten around to posting pics.. of Emily...SORRY...Ill do it as soon as I can....

Hiya Colleen,

Yep the boys and I will be here tonight. I don't have any kid friendly movies for tonight. I asked the kids if they wanted to watch movies but they'd rather play the wii.

We played Monopoly lastnight. DeV won Dante came in second and I lost!!

So we'll either have a rematch tonight or play the wii.... I might end up doing some dis'ing as well.
