Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

I can only imagine how difficult this time is for him - let him know it's deeply appreciated. I don't like to work out for 15 minutes, much less 12 hours...he has my sympathy!

I love to write letters (not that you'd know if from my Christmas card this year...hardly any news at all!!) and I feel it's a lost art, so it was never any trouble for me. DH did a pretty good job on his letters, but didn't write every day like I did.

Well, still not getting anything done, so I'm really leaving this time! :o)

Yep, my first digital camera was a Polaroid. :)

Ann That must of been hard to wait on letters! I am so glad they are able to use internet and phones over there! We'd be in trouble if we relied on letters because Roger hates to write.

He tells me they are only allowed to use the phone twice a week and only for 15mins. When the 15 mins are about up a loud siren or beeping noise is heard on the phone. Quite annoying..

Also he says it's hard to get to the phones and the media center for internet because they have no transportation so they have to walk. He says it's like a mile away. Even the bathrooms to shower and stuff are far away

Can you imagine having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and have to walk a mile to use it :sad2: At least males have it a lil easier ;)

I don't expect to hear from him much. He says he's busy when he's over there because he has 12 hour flights every other day and then sleeps most of the time on his days off. Flying really puts wear and tear on your body. He was telling me your body is like in "work out" mode the whole time you're in flight due to the altitude and stress of being in air.

Well it's almost time for the kids to come home... gotta help with homework :teacher:

Prayers & :wizard: needed.

My Mom has been in severe painf the past dew days with her feet. Went to Drs today (waiting for appt)....UGH dont look good. Feet are purple. Gotta go see a Vascular Surgeon on Friday. :confused3 Only because of the Emphysema, she cant be operated on.

:guilty:

Andy - plenty of prayers all around! I hope there is something they can do...she's lucky to have such devotion from you. Good luck!

oh DU....LOTS & LOTS of P&PD for you AND your Mom!!! you know...we know she is living the best life possible BECAUSE of you!!! Emphysema is such a horrible disease...my dad had it...he passed away 2 1/2 yrs ago. He too had a very special person in his life that took such good care of him...made his life so much better as you do for your parents!!!

Ann~we are going to my favorite place in Gilroy - Westside Grill - has some great steaks...chicken...& a DEEEELISH creme brulee~sometime soon we are taking some friends & going down to Carmel to my favorite "polynesian" restaurant...Bahama Billys. It is SOOOO good! but too far to go on a work night (boy are we old!!!) ;)

hi ya!! DS has a basketball game last night...it was one of those on edge of your seat games...started off with St Francis having a pretty good lead over the other team which they held almost the whole game...then in the last 5 mins....Fresno gets a few 3ptr shots back to back....& we're down to a 3 pt lead ....yikes...but St Francis comes back & wins with a 9 pt lead....that happened in last 2 mins.....

Today is our 20th anniversary....DH just had a dzn beautiful red roses delivered to my office....he doesn't do that very often...so was definitely a wonderful surprise:love:
Going out to dinner this evening....just the two of us~DS has BB practice anyway...& then another game tomorrow night & one Friday night as well....

DU- LOVE that photo of Mac...she is a CUTIE!!!!:cutie:

Off to lunch soon with friend Michelle...it's her birthday today! Got her the cutest Tink shirt!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!
We are a big basketball family here! DD(13) is on the 7th and 8th grade team at school, DD(12) places in the city youth league with a bunch of her cousins, DH plays 3 mornings a week at the Y at 5:30 A.M.:scared1: I have a nephew who plays on his HS varsity team and another at college on a basketball scholarship. It goes way back, both of my parents played HS basketball. (When my mom played the girls teams weren't allowed to dribble. THey just had to keep passing the ball)Dad was offered a full scholarship to a military college, but didn't want to serve the 4 years required after graduation, so he turned them down. Then he got drafted and sent to Korea as a private. If he had gone to college, he would have missed the war because he would have gone been in college and then he would have spent 4 years as an officer... in peace time! But anyway now that I've rambled on ...the whole point of this post is that I always say you don't have to watch the whole game, just the last 2 minutes to see all the excitement.

Hi Threadkillers!

CADZ - Happy Anniversary! Where are you going for dinner?

DU - Mackenzie is so adorable!

Thanks PD!!! wow - you DO have some BB players for sure!!! well at 5'1" i didn't play (imagine that)....so those who can't - cheerlead right?? but DS at 6'1" has a little easier time with that ball & baskets...so funny that your Mom's team couldn't dribble....but sure they played 1/2 court...we did in (or our girls team that is) played 1/2 court...was trying to explain that to some (younger) friends here....they just didn't get it:confused3

hope you're all having a great night....our ressie's aren't till 6 - so thought i'd work on those calendars....AFTER checking the disboards of course....priorities ya know....

What are you doing with your calendars?

Happy Anniversary Brenda!

...anniversary of WHAT?:confused3
...If Its Wedding then pass that onto your DH!...If not then I am confused...and still just AVERAGE!

Good Morning TKers:surfweb:

Its going into the mid-fortys today!:cool1: ...Not to shabby for The end of Nov.!:thumbsup2

I had only 2 wrong on the quiz...So I feel pretty good....It said Im "smarter then the average bear".....Huh... It just goes to show that they can be wrong about things too....LOL
DU,
The meat answer is because he was a butcher clerk...That is what a clerk does, weight the meat and then charge you the $ per lb.,for that weight...:thumbsup2

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY....Brenda and DH! ...I LOVE roses....My fave flower:love:

Feeling any better Robin?

Well Its my Thurs. and My Mom is driving me nuts:sad2: today, Just trying to get her ready.....So I better get a move on....:car:

Have a good one, My friends:wizard:
TTFN

I'm average.:snooty:

And i read the answer & STILL DONT GET the clerk in the butcher shop thing?:confused3

The clerk at the butcher shop weighs "meat". It's the clerk's job to weigh the meat you buy from the butcher to determine how much you owe the butcher.
