John took me to a Flyer's game!

His friend was sick and offered them to us, alls I had to do was get him a free bobble head doll (tonight's giveaway.) We did good, we got three! The Flyers were horrible, lost in an ugly way tonight

Good Afternoon TK'ers!

Rainy here today. Actually slept late (11:00) and so did James (he is usually up with da boids)! We watched Hairspray on DVD last night. Cute movie. But JT was in it!

After the bus picked up the boys this morning it started to pour and didn't stop til around 3. It was kind of nice...

Didn't do much today but clean out a few junk drawers and closets.

Got me very first Christmas card of the season None of us would be suprised by who it was from!

PS - DU - good job 'cyber shopping'....i did some today...but didn't get quite as good as deals as you did...bought a wine cellar for son in law....& some new flatware for me...Macy's had free shipping my flatware is Oneida marked down from 285 to 139....so a good price for 12 settings....but think i only got about $100 off the wine cellar....oh well - he's into his wine so should like it....

Keep on mind if you have it shipped home, you dont pay FL Sales tax. I usually do all my shopping at the World of Disney in one clump! It works out better that way.

I too have been doing alot of my shopping on the net.....I just LOVE not doing crowds.....It makes life ALOT easier!

Looked around for a Wii....But Ill wait....Right now the prices are at 5-600.00 .Too much for just something for the kids to do while they are here....I might mess with it a little ...but I dont see me using it that much....So we will wait to see if it goes down after Christmas...

I have been looking into Hawaii alot lately....IF we go.... am sure I want to go to Maui....and I pretty much know I cant do more then two Islands($$$$)...So Im just trying to figure out which other one ...I have time....BUT they are all so Beautiful...I really am enjoying all the websites and pictures and all....Even if we end up not going...Its a very interesting place...

I made chilli for the guys that were hunting yesterday....They all loved it...an hr. or so later...they were all gone and so was the chilli...The WHOLE pot... I guess it wasnt too bad....LOL
And a friend of Mikes(DS) went home with a five point buck...

Today its just Mike(DS) and Mikey(DGS)...I have pasta and sauce on the stove....Im not a fan of deer hunting, but I have grown up with it...So I pray for both the deer and the guys out there....I prayer the deer gets an instantly mortal shot...and no one gets hurt....

Yes today is garbage day.

When I came home around 3pm yesterday afternoon he already had his garbage out.

Right in the middle of the parking spot again

He even had to go out in the cold and pouring rain to do it

I've decided if it makes him happy to go thru life as a jerk (can think of some better words but are not DIS appropriate ) then more power to him.

It is extremely windy out here today.

I need to get out and get my pond cleared out for the winter and maybe covered.

But I'm still not feeling all that great

Betsy, that's high for a WII. You're probably looking at the bundles. You can usually buy just a WII for $249.99. But yes then you will have to get another controller which is about $30 and another nunchuck ($30) And a game if you don't like the built in games.... games range from ($50 - $19)

Or you can get used games for cheap too....

But the bundles usually come with 2 or 3 games

Anyhoo~ My other WII owners around here step in if I'm wrong

TW & PC - I'm gonna put my tree up next week...I'll have to forward my pics to have them posted. I've finally resigned myself that learning how to post is NOT something I will ever master.

DalPal - I think you are wise to wait for a Wii - perhaps an after Christmas sale? Or are they too popular still?

CADZ - The wine cooler sounds FAB! I'm not a wine afficiando by any stretch of the imagination, but I have a few favorites that I always keep on hand.

DU - sounds like you got some awesome deals on-line! I always buy the kids some gourmet junk food to go along with their Christmas boxes.

Well, DD and the grandkiddos aren't going to make it here today. Emma is running a fever and she has to be healthy for a test to determine if she has Cystic Fibrosis - so it was best they stay at home. I sure hope that test is negative....it's nerve racking!

Thanks to everyone for Tom's Birthday wishes - I'll show him later tonight, I know he'll be touched.

Be at any Target 1/2 before they open on Sunday am....also they have been getting them in regularly. My Target had PLENTY on Black friday...(If I knew)...also, Amazon.com has been getting them in...on a regular basis. DONT PAY MORE THAN 250 for one! I Wii!!!!

Whwn I had me own place I had a HUGE 7 ft tree (artifical) and I literally have 100'ssssss of Fancy ornaments for it. (all in storage now ). In this house I just put a small tree (4ft) in the Living room window box.

I asked the kids what if we did an artificial tree just this one year...and they looked at me like i was crazy...

Roger called today! He said they landed yesterday and after they got their room assignments he fell asleep and slept for 12 hours. He just woke up when he called me. It was 1am there..or did he say 2am It was around 5:40pm here.

but anyways, it was nice to hear from him.

We always have an artificial tree, when we have a tree There have been a few years where I didn't even bother with it either.

The past few years we have been getting out it on a more regular basis though.

DU, I knew what gelt was, not the chocolate version but the real stuff. I've never heard the chocolate coins referred to in the way before.

Liz and I are planning on going shopping in the BIG city tomorrow at the big mall Probably stop in at Toy R US too while we are there.
